See, I think my biggest problem with the Mii fights is that the ones they have you going against typically just do the bare minimum of trying to stand in for the actual characters, facially. Like, I know the Mii Maker is pretty narrow in what you can do, but if you know how to play around with it and do odd stuff, you can actually get things pretty close. Like for Knuckles, I remember I got a certain eye type and made it big and angled to fit the 'cutout' on the mii hat, and played around with the noses and beauty mark to make a black animal nose, and even a mustache - or wrinkles, don't remember - to try and define the 'muzzle' a bit more. There's a lot you can do even with head shape and make up to try and edge just a bit closer to 'this can maybe pass as the real thing if I squint'.
...And then you have something like this.
I know none of the skin tones available match the wood, but they didn't even try, it looks like. And, like I said, it's like they just
sort of tried on his face. Compare that to this one someone made. See what I mean? It just feels like Nintendo/Sakurai-made Miis just feel extra fake, but maybe that's intentional, I dunno.
