Well the Sony Mii costume that would enrage fans is fairly obvious to guess:

Think of the sheer number of Coke drinkers furious at the idea of him getting featured.

I think I should make mention that I have shared the 4 Mii costumes with a number of people in the Geno fanbase in private because, time and time again, you all have proven to be trustworthy and not a single thing I have told anybody in strict confidence since DECEMBER 2018 has gotten out except for once at Forest Maze this past January (thankfully the mods jumped on it immediately) and a big reason I hardly ever go there anymore. That said, there's a decent chance of things being revealed in the coming weeks that the Geno fanbase has successfully kept secret for close to a year and I deeply appreciate that. Again, I don't think the Geno fanbase gets enough credit for the amazing people in it and the solidarity of it acknowledging that there's some things that shouldn't be leaked at all. It's very humbling and it's just another factor of why I've been proud to be in this fanbase for seemingly ever.
its cool the geno fanbase is so tight like that. I admit I want geno, but mostly been hanging around Shantae and Reimu fanbases as I want them more. Really apprechiate what you are doing fatman, and its surprising the nintendo ninjas haven't swooped in yet, though all you are doing is speculating on costumes, not saying who is actually in, which is probably keeping you under the radar.

You're a pretty cool dude as far as I'm concerned. Even if we disagree on theories at times, you still have helped keep our optimism for Geno alive even when we were at the lowest points

With Geno's reveal potentially days away, I have a question. How many of ya'll are going to stick around on the Geno social if and when it happens? I know a lot of people will move on to other character threads or quit speculation altogether, but it would be nice if a lot of this community stuck together.
I've been mostly lurking here for a while, but I could see myself sticking around doing that if he did got in. Maybe even interact a bit more, since I'll be playing the game even more then. I gotta say though, it's nice to see lots of optimism in here. I hope we do get him soon.

On the topic of Mii costumes and Mii Costume Guy, a big reason why I think most, if not all, will wind up true is because there's kind of a central theme... Everyone is sort of a real consolation prize. It's much different from Smash 4 and you can clearly see this. In Smash 4, characters that people wanted playable were squashed left and right to the point that literally every Mii costume wave had a least one OOF inducing addition. The Mii costumes this time feel a lot more thoughtful and overwhelmingly consist of characters whose chances of being playable probably were never great anyways. Of Mii Costume Guy's full list, there's maybe 2 that would be salt inducing while most fans would probably just be happy to have the characters represented in literally any major way. Waiting for Mii costumes in Smash 4 was like "oh boy, who are they going to deconfirm now..." while Ultimate has been "oh boy, who are they going to add now?!"

As long as we don't have any more Goemon tier guys on that costume list and as long as Geno's on the character select screen, I'll be happy.

I have a bad feeling we're not going to get any Nintendo announcements at all this week.
I think it's possible we won't get Smash news, but I do think at the very least they will announce ONE thing this week.

Unless they're still holding off because of the protests. Keep in mind the PS5 event and the smash tournament still haven't even been given new dates yet.

I'll stay here for a good while to be honest. Just the past few months have already been good around here and I don't want to see this really nice community going away soon. If time allows me, I may even pop in the Star Road discord every once in a while. I'll also go to other support threads, I need to get some more Xenoblade in Smash somewhere...
I know. I was recommended to keep them a secret for a variety of reasons:

-All four are really nice surprises.

-Was specifically told one of the fanbases would "probably throw a fit" if it got leaked.

-At least one is a big enough deal that it would probably cause legal action if it got out. This last one checks because I would eventually learn that a few people actually knew about the Sans Mii costume as far back as last June but after Paragon's C&D, it was decided to keep it a hard secret because it was never clarified why Paragon got the C&D to begin with.
Another fun prediction game, eh? Let's go!
Nintendo: Considering this is Smash we're talking about, any first-party deconfirmation is bound to create salt in the community, so they could be the one. At the same time, the amount of options are also reducing: I can only guess 3 options:
- A fan-favorite ARMS character that didn't make the cut
- One of the first-party characters that still have a decent following and don't have a costume yet like Porky
- A character from Astral Chain.

Square: Another one that can be salt-inducing, depending on what they choose:
- If it's somebody of the Eidos side, there won't be salt (except for one character).
- If it's a smaller Square or Enix franchise like Bravely, Xenogears, or a less popular Final Fantasy character, it will be okay
- Now if it's Crono, 2B, Sephiroth, Tifa, Lara Croft or any other fan-favorite, I can see people throwing a tantrum because of Geno being the chosen fighter and the prospect of no more Square characters.

Microsoft: Since it isn't Chief or Steve, I think it's safe to say that it's one of 5 options:
- Ori, because of Blind Forest on Switch, plus it fits with the dimensions well
- Marcus, because Gears of War is probably the second biggest franchise created by Microsoft
- Joanna Dark, because of Nintendo History + rumors of Perfect Dark being revived
- Conker, again because of Nintendo History + had some appearences recently (even though they were terrible)
- Fable, because of the new game (The most unlikely in my opinion)
I didn't include Cortana because I think she's coming with Chief anyways and it's not the one being talked about here.

Sony: Based on what I know, Sony is probably the one that has a legal action tied to it: If Nintendo is one to deploy the Ninjas, Sony deploys a zombie apocalypse for even leaking your own game if you have any sort of marketing or exclusivity deal with them, and this includes big fines. That's why you normally don't see 100% first-party or exclusives leaking from them. I'm thinking that either Sackboy or Ratchet are the ones. They aren't super popular, but they have their fanbases. Unless Sony denied them the playable character spot to not harm their "PS exclusive" status, I don't see them getting rights to Kratos and not trying to make them a character. But if it was, then I could see it being the tantrum.
Seriously, it's crazy that we can talk about the possibility of Kratos vs Master Chief vs Mario in Smash and not be considered CRAZY for discussing it.

And if we don’t, that’s ok too. I know a lot of us are starved for information (myself included) but there is a lot going on in the world right now. It’s been an insane few months.

As for my Mii Costume “Fantastic 4” predictions:
1) Krystal (Nintendo)
2) 2B (Square)
3) Master Chief (Micro)
4) ??? (Sony)

A Smash presentation maybe delayed because the Sony presentation was delayed and it may just come down to how much they care about timing. Yes, I'm saying this because of the prospect of Crash being our "big" third party reveal this year. I'm honestly predicting things to go like 2013 or 2014, 2 characters announced in very close proximity and then a "surprise" later in the day.

Well, this happened:
There was a problem fetching the tweet

So, Nintendo might play around it. It is a day that had a lot of speculation around it...

It would seem that Sony's PS5 virtual event will be this upcoming Thursday.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Dunno if Nintendo would schedule for some big news on that same day, or if they'd roll their big announcements the day before or *gulp*... next week?

Well that is certainly encouraging! I did not know that happened. Are you 100% sure it's not fake?
It was on a Twitch ad, which went up the same time the original one would have gone up last week, every site is reporting it, seems to be real.

I'm definitely more willing to believe in smash news this week now that the PS5 event is on Thursday! I'm getting hyped now!

Welp, there's a good chance now that either Wednesday or Thursday are the dates to keep our eyes open for the Smash presentation/direct

OFC as soon as I post about the Sony presentation bring TBD...

Anyways... There also seems to be kind of a form-u-lure when it comes to E3 reveals and Nintendo has seemingly stuck to this since 2013:

-A character that's technically already been announced or is kind of a novelty (Wii Fit, Miis, Lucas, and Inkling)

-A big fan favorite (Villager, Palutena, Roy, Daisy/Ridley, and Hero)

-A giant third party icon (Megaman, Pac-Man, Ryu, Snake's Revenge™, and Banjo)

ARMS is painfully the first category, leaving the other two occupancies open. Once again, trying to get Geno in Smash has been a hobby roughly half my life but Geno's not a third party icon. He's a legend in his own right but in the same vein as K. Rool or Ridley, not Megaman or Snake. This is why I categorize him in the second category. Third, as you guys all know, my remaining predictions for Chad Thundercock level third party additions are both Western and they're Crash Bandicoot and Master Chief and I think it's way too soon for Chief, given all his insider stuff didn't start piling up until December/January. Crash, on the other hand, has had **** since last summer that's only gotten stronger with time.

Hey guys! I know I said I wouldn't come back here until Geno got revealed, but I changed my mind. Besides, I feel like his hour is upon us.

I'm betting on Crash or Rayman for that third category. And Geno would definitely be the fan favorite pick. I just hope the rest of the pass has more of these.

Now knowing when Sony's PS5 event will be, thought of looking back to past E3s schedules and it would seem that there has been a consistent pattern between the big three (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo). Typically the order goes just as so, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo (with some other third party presentations mostly in between Microsoft and Sony). Some years Microsoft and Sony have had their presentations on the same day (Microsoft taking the morning, and Sony later in the afternoon), while Nintendo took the spotlight on the following day. So, if we were take this pattern into consideration now, we could get an equivalent to this year's Sony event from Nintendo on a... Friday? Huh, not the usual day that's been expected thus far but, going off from previous E3 conference schedules, it could fall on a Friday. Maybe a slew of Grade A Nintendo announcements, and hopefully the Smash announcement we've been waiting for what seems to have been an eternity.

Lol imagine Sony revealing the PS5 with a brand new installment of Crash Bandicoot on the 11th & then Nintendo turns around and reveals Crash as the next DLC character the next day.

Nintendo: "June 11th, huh? Time to **** on Sony's parade."

June 10th: Nintendo holds "Pseudo E3 conference" unveiling Metroid Prime 4, several Mario remasters, Breath of the Wild 2, SMRPG remake and Geno revealed as Smash fighter #7!

But Sony's event was planned for last week, so unless Nintendo further delayed smash news because of the PS5 event being rescheduled in order to make sure they go after Sony then any time this week is fair game.

For those of you that are afraid of Crash being the Sony Mii costume don't be afraid because Crash isn't owned by Sony anymore he is currently owned by Activision.

TBH I think most companies were prepared back in February/March to give news on the second week of June, given that E3 wasn't cancelled just yet. For that reasoning, I think many of them just wanted to stick to that plan of E3 week, even with E3 being gone. Nintendo's been sprinkling some stuff here and there because with their directs gone, they didn't want to cram everything into one day. I still think the big bombshell announcements are coming this or potentially next week, regardless of everything else. I'm still putting money on this week purely because it's E3 week.

First, a quick reintroduction since I never actually post: Hi! I'm Nemo I like to draw and I grew up with SMRPG, of course Geno is obviously my most wanted. I've been lurking in here since around this time last year and I have posted a few times since then.

Now, I kinda wanted to throw my 2 cents in on the mii costumes.
Fatman said there's no Steve/Chief and only the MS character is owned by the associated company. That in mind

Nintendo: no idea tbh, close association but not owned? Perhaps Pokemon since they're technically independent of Nintendo and we've gotten human characters from Pokemon before (Rocket grunt)

Sony: With Crash being so likely and a popular pick I'm thinking Jak from Jak and Daxter (arent both owned by misbehaving pup?) He's popular outside of smash and would turn heads as a cool nod rather than anger.

MS: there's a few and I'm just spit balling

-Marcus, second only to Halo, would be funny to see that character design condensed onto a mii

-Ori, on switch and a good fit as fighter the perfect character for Ninti to shaft

-RARE, idk there's quite a lot but maybe KI? Would diverge from being an animal mascot like Banjo and KI is Nintendo relevant

SqeekyCleanex: my initial thoughts were Crono and Neku, either or could fit a character pick and are niche but beloved characters that people would be happy to see them regardless (ala Goemon)

-Crono with Geno, both classic SNES boys and more Toriyama in smash

-Neku with Sora, Twewy is mostly nintendo exclusive and it's already crossed over with KH. Also more Numora characters

Otherwise, I dont know.
