Pretty confident they are based on who they are. Just as a recap, starting last fall, people who interact with Mii Costume Guy and his in-betweens started to put together a list of characters they had heard from them in their own talks. These were compiled together in early December 2019 and, at a glance, it was a really weird list. Most were made public because nobody knew why the names had come up and some, like Elecman, seemed like troll attempts or bad info. For a time, it was agreed upon to call it a "Rejected character list" and the theory was that these were characters that Sakurai and his team may have entertained for playable spots but turned down for one reason or another. It wasn't until Cuphead was confirmed in January that people looked at the list again and thought, "oh ****, this might actually be most of the new Mii costumes for Season 2."
"Lock and load, little lizard!"

Thank you for responding! I just got a bit concerned.

The May Online Open Smash Bros. Tournament for this weekend just got postponed. I am really starting to worry about news getting postponed for Smash next week.
I feel like the reveal will still be happening. Just the release of the character might get switched around.

The release might be delayed a week or two, but the reveals can't afford to be put off

Don't be so sure, guys. With the kind of serious business this is, anything is possible.

The 3rd parties Nintendo negotiated with have dates more or less locked down for their respective character reveals, so I don't think they're going to be patient for too much longer.

I wish I could believe that. But given how Nintendo is taken these recent events seriously, I doubt that will be enough to keep the reveals on next week.

There is literally no proof that the reveals are going to be delayed. In fact, there's no guarantee that it'll be next week anyway, so don't say it like we're guaranteed something next week. I do believe that if we get two characters revealed and one is third party, it'll be revealed next week because they can't just up and delay a reveal for the company they're partnering with.

I personally don't think the reveal will be delayed. As for the release? Its probable. I do expect us to get the reveal next week and for all we know, the fighter could have already been delayed if they planned on revealing the character this week.

I did know that there was no guarantee it would be next week, but even with no proof that there is a delay, they could still do it suddenly out of the blue. That's what I am worried about.

Meh, I care not if the release is delayed, as long as I get a reveal before then, personally speaking.

Doesn’t explain why the text isn’t as bolded as most other characters’ victory screens though
It kind of does, why would you use a bolder font if you already have visibility issues with your text. It would basically make the MIN appear more closer together.

I’m not sold on the leak myself, but either way I wouldn’t be surprised if they used a slightly different style of their text for her.

I mean, it's a NA event sponsored by Nintendo of America, something that only they would really have control over so it makes sense for it to get postponed.

Of course it begs the question of how far back it gets delayed, it was already supposed to be going every weekend until the 21st, so how Nintendo chooses to go about this actually gives us a good outlook of when we might actually get the ARMS character released (not revealed). I highly doubt they planned to release a character and balance changes while the tournaments were going on, so I just assumed they were getting released on the week of the 25th, but now that this happened, and the fact that June 2020 has been a locked release window for months and there is zero reason to change that, the two scenarios are.
  • Nintendo decides to host the postponed tournaments mid-week while not delaying either of the other two, meaning they don't want to push anything to the last weekend of the month and basically confirming the release week of the ARMS rep
  • Nintendo postpones all tournaments by one weekend and the ARMS character was always meant to be out on the last two days of the month.

Same, I don't care about Arms at all, but I want to see if it's a spirit and/or an assist trophy promotion, plus what mii costumes come with them ,and if we get the 7th FP reveal afterwards.

Oh, right. I forgot this was an American thing, key word, American, or America where the bad events happened. Not in Japan where Sakurai is.

Thank you, not to be rude, but I honestly did not need that. Mainly because you have kept saying it before. Whether you wanted to say it or not, it may not be a bad thing, but I know you've said that enough for it to not be needed.

Again, I am not trying to bully or be rude, just saying. It was predictable.

I guess what I failed to say right is dont worry so much about it. Even if the fighter pass. was delayed, they gotta show it sometine in future. We'll still get it in the end. Just dont worry, things will be Gucci one way or another

Oh, okay, that's cool. I get ya. Thanks for that.

Honestly, I wasn't that worried to begin with. Before some other posts, I was kinda expecting it, and expecting does sometimes help keep from worrying where I am concerned.

So far, Im expecting for plenty of stuff to get pushed back. Tho, I wouldnt mind if they just dropped the character on twitter. Im mostly more a fun of announcments like that.

I’m not too stressed if Smash DLC gets delayed by a week or so, only because there are bigger things going on in the world right now. Much bigger than us.

Nintendo won’t keep us waiting much longer, but if they opt to hold off until the 3rd week of June I think that’s totally understandable given the current global climate.

Also I hope everyone is doing okay and are feeling safe. If anyone here needs any resources in their local communities, DM me and I can try and help you look things up.

Also - GENO is totally in.

With what is happening right now, a lot of stuff is expected to be pushed back. I would not mind the Twitter thing, though. Still, if they do reveal Fighter 7, I wonder how revealing that alongside Fighter 6 would work on Twitter?

Either way, whatever is pushed back, it won't be the end of the world.

Though anything can happen, delays or what not, but most likely we are getting more video reveals somewhat like Paper Mario game reveal ... not much would affect releasing a video to reveal something on YouTube. Just need a guy with good internet connection to upload a video.

Going off of the earlier comments about how third-party stuff likely is negotiated for a reveal at a specific time way in advance, it’s unlikely that the reveal will be delayed if it involves third-party characters like Geno or Crash as speculated.

If they were just revealing the ARMs character, or multiple characters but they’re all owned by Nintendo (such as ARMs + Waluigi bonus), then its a lot easier to do so if they so decided - and we do get an officially announcement that it was delayed, it may be best to temper your expectations of what we’ll being seeing in that regard. But it takes a lot of work to set things up when multiple companies are involved, and despite the climate in the Western world at the moment being as it is, delaying a week or two requires a lot more than just deciding last-minute “oh we’re switching this date, lul”, so the decision either would have had to have been made in advance of the protests, or it wasn’t made at all and they’re on-track for the original reveal date as scheduled.

The sudden change in atmosphere here gave me enough whiplash to snap my neck. It went from 'Geno's in and ARMs is coming soon!' to 'Things are going to get delayed so curb back your hope.' in 24 hours.

As we near the reveal of who CP6 will end up being, here's a brief walk down memory lane, specifically in regards to Super Smash Bros. presence within past E3s (starting from Brawl since that's when the big reveals started happening).

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Era
  • E3 2006 (After-Hour Press Conference): Nintendo unveiled the first official trailer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in which at the end they revealed Solid Snake as one of the newcomers; the first third party character to have been added to the Smash Bros. roster.
Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS Era
  • E3 2013 Nintendo Direct: The first official trailer for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS is unveiled, showing newcomer Villager, and at the end the surprise reveal of Mega Man as yet another third party newcomer (a big one).
  • E3 2014: Albeit within the Direct, when it came to more Smash news, the newcomers revealed were the Mii Fighters and Palutena; at a Roundtable press conference with Mr. Sakurai later, he unveiled Pac-Man as yet another newcomer in the roster.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Era
  • E3 2018 Nintendo Direct: pretty much the later half of the Direct focused entirely on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where they unveiled the mighty pitch of "Everyone Is Here!", and as if that wasn't enough, Ridley was revealed at the end as the newest character joining the roster (a character that had been only a boss character since Brawl).
  • E3 2019 Nintendo Direct: now this Direct was special. Not only was Hero from the long running Dragon Quest series was revealed to be one of the Fighters Pass DLC characters to be joining Smash, but near the end of the Direct we got the fulfilling of a long time wish with Banjo & Kazooie's reveal as yet another third party character that joined the now insurmountable roster of Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Now the presence of Smash in E3 wasn't always there as you may note due to either other titles taking the spotlight that year, or because by that time the game had already released and there was nothing else to be announced at the time. Of course, other big announcements were made within other months throughout the year (such as Sonic's inclusion in Brawl, and Cloud's in Wii U/3DS). Regardless, when it comes to E3, if Smash is going to be there, the selling point most of the time (if not all the time) will be showing off a highly requested character (curiously as in the listed E3 showings, most of which have been third party guest characters).

To summarize, in chronological order Super Smash Bros. and E3 have brought us the following reveals:
  • Solid Snake (Brawl)
  • Mega Man (Wii U/3DS)
  • Pac-Man (Wii U/3DS)
  • "Everyone Is Here!", bringing back ALL third party guest characters (Ultimate)
  • Ridley (Ultimate)
  • Hero (Ultimate)
  • Banjo & Kazooie (Ultimate)
With all that being said, I feel like it will be VERY likely that we won't just be getting the CP6 reveal, but at least one big CP7 reveal, it being a third party character.

there isnt much to talk about it ways of the characters anymore. Would be a nice gift if I went to nap, woke up and bam, Nintendo announced both 6 and 7 on one twitter post
Would be nice, but I doubt they will be announcing anything on Twitter anytime soon due to the outrage they would receive.
