People really be thinking they're gonna reveal a smash rep in the indie world stream. LMAO.

Also on the topic of the possible delays, if the next fighter is next week I highly doubt THAT one would be delayed considering that it's so close to reveal. Maybe the initial date the characters launch gets postponed, but not the trailer. Besides bug fixes, what else could they possibly be working on? Sakurai already stated that they're pretty much good to go in the last direct so I'm not sure what could cause them to postpone it later.

Either we just get a teailer like joker or Terry, or we get one like Hero and banjo. I can see both likely. Its just that we wont get a sakurai presents the character with shadowdrop right after right away.

Or maybe this is tied to fighter 7 and beyond and the 6th may release like normal. We just dont know

That just gave me flashbacks. I still remember worrying that Ness was going to be cut due to that poor choice of words/poor choice of translation.

Seeing my Mewtwo get cut in Brawl was a huge kick in the ***** for me. I was very sad when I didn't see him in the character select screen after unlocking Wolf completing Brawl's roster.

Not only was it very meh for me, but Exit the Gungeon is now a timed exclusive on Switch when I want it on PC, so it was actually *worse* than expectations, oof. I am so disappoint.

Direct by next week or riot Nintendo. Your move you ****ers.

A lot of the indie games looked really good, though my biggest surprised is no shantae or silksong news. Its been so long since anything on them, almost a year for silksong, and thought this would be the best time to show them.

Maybe nintendo thinks they are too big for indie showcase?

Definitely not my cup of tea, there were some interesting looking games but all the attention is on that next direct and smash reveal

The time travelling first person shooter looked interesting. I would like to hear more about that one.

Bummer to hear some DLC will be delayed for Smash. Safety is the biggest priority though!

I was hoping for a Seven Sirens release date but non the less this Direct wasn't half bad. Blue Fire and Baldo look interesting too me so I'll have to check them out when they release.

Since Push is saying that the delay is actually Sakurai's team being unable to present info to a publisher; I think we're actually okay for the immediate moment.

Sakurai filmed Byleth's presentation in November and they were basically done save for polish. Work has clearly been going on between November and March so I say that things are right on track for Fighter 6 or 7's reveal and release

Fighter 8 or 9 however might be the ones held up regarding this. But maybe by then this virus stuff will finally iron out

Although now the fun speculation is "Which publisher would Sakurai's team have to travel outside of Japan to see?"

Microsoft and Id Software to name two of them that are thrown around daily. UbiSoft could be another (but I kinda doubt since we got Altair and Rabbids in DLC 5, well after FP2's negotiations went on).

Lol nah thats not what I meant. I just mean that the details of the famitsu give us some clue as to who Nintendo is working with to develop the next said character. Like whether or not its 3rd party or in house

I think Fp6 and 7 are still on track for their releases, it's just the remaining ones that are likely delayed a bit

Edit: Regarding Exit the Gungeon from earlier, both Steam and Indie World messed up, as the official twitter for Gungeon said it was coming to Steam as well today. My friend's literally playing it right now, so if you're like me and hate playing it w/o a mouse, it's up.

I feel like this could mean: Crash, Chief, or Doomslayer

Disney of Japan would probably be who they'd go to for Sora (because I know how much everyone in this thread LOVES Sora), and for Geno they wouldn't have to go far to talk with Square Enix.

Very interesting development indeed

Where does it say anything about traveling? And where does it say anything about leaving the country? They closest thing is the part where he speaks on showing fighter(s) to publisher(s). I mean that could be Nintendo which he'd have to travel to seeing as he doesn't work at the Nintendo's office, second party studios, or it could be third parties in Japan. And all that is assuming he had to travel and not that demos or meetings were just put on hold due to handling virus matters. Really this is pretty vague on what it means. Unless I missed something.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the closest thing Sakurai said to "the presentation got delayed" was "I couldn't travel to present something to a publisher" Unless there's something I missed, I think it's really twisting Sakurai's words to claim the release/presentation of FP6 was delayed.

You gotta read between the lines, Bro. He obviously meant to say, "Fighter #6 has been delayed until Christmas and the rest of FP2 has been cancelled." Yeesh, you people and your blind optimism. :ultpacman:
