I don't think anyone really knows what's going on at this point. More **** keeps leaking. Nintendo keeps casually making semi big announcements on Twitter. I don't think the "Big News™" of the next Direct will honestly change that much which is the most rage inducing thing of all. The big franchise revival. Character #6. Probably the SNES Online dump. Several rumored games like Paper Mario and Metroid actually coming true. It's so stupid at this point...But guys, Zippo couldn't possibly be wrong... 2 Directs this month, right?... ... Right?
I Actually wouldn't be surprised in the least if nintendo did this.Geno codename is Starling ...
Sorry I had to do it
I'm not joking when I say this is super interesting and I had no idea it was a thing. Like, if you told me "Halloween is a 9 billion dollar industry" I would have been like "yeah duh they make a ****load of decorations and people plunder the shelves in and around October". I didn't even consider the other aspects of it outside of just personal decorating and making up costumes.Technically?

The professional Halloween season kicks off each year in St. Louis, MO every mid March. Basically the biggest names in the industry get together, sell stuff, hold workshops, network, etc. It's basically the biggest professional Halloween trade show in the world. From there, there's the Midwest Haunter's Convention in June but this one is actually open to the public:

After this, there's a bunch of smaller shows throughout the United States until about mid August typically.
For professional "haunters", the year typically goes like this:
March - June: Planning and Convention Season. Networking, buying stuff for the haunt, going to conventions, drawing up employee protocol, negotiating insurance and lease rates if the haunter doesn't own their haunt property, etc.
June- mid August: Construction and Updates, getting marketing and promotional materials ready
mid August - late September: hiring, marketing campaigns, touch ups on haunts
late September - early November: "Halloween Season"
Mid November - March: "Off season", bigger haunts do Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc events but most can't afford it because off season insurance rates are hilariously high. Full review what what "worked" and what didn't. Planning begins for next season if the haunt was successful enough.
I'm not a "haunter" myself but I work very closely with them and a good number of Halloween oriented businesses including Spirit Halloween. Contrary to popular belief, it is very serious and not just for "funsies." There's people that do this sort of thing full time and earn a living doing it. Halloween is currently about a 9 billion dollar industry and these numbers are estimated to keep climbing for years to come. The American Halloween industry also has close to half the country participating with the typical "Halloweener" spending an average of about $90 throughout the season. All this said, yes, the professional Halloween industry is definitely a thing.
This is something I would do.GUYS
What if Geno's codename is actually Mallow, to really mess with us.

Sabi recently retweeted this. Possibly hinting at something nintendo related even though they can't say what it is? Maybe the direct is tomorrow, Sabi obviously can't tell us that directly it seems.
If anything it's probably just another "hey, I've gotten stuff right before so don't dunk on me" thing because they've done this several times before where they bring up the C&D after something doesn't come to fruition like what now seems to be the case of an Animal Crossing Direct (unless it's announced tomorrow). I don't think it's a hint to anything.View attachment 262915

Hearts would be too obvious for Sora. I think that "Seventh and thirteenth" would be better in a diabolical way.Nintendo exec 1: "What is the most obscure, most diabolical code name we could use for Geno, Sora and Waluigi?"
Nintendo exec 2: "Hearts, Chuckie and Spartan, respectively."
Nintendo exec 1: "Excellent. Run these to Sakurai-san, ASAP!"
Oh yeah, it's really cool, especially since the haunted house aspect of it is pretty young. Culturally speaking, Halloween was overwhelmingly a children's holiday until the 1990's and then it exploded in popularity when a bunch of teens and adults were suddenly nostalgic for Halloween of the 70's and 80's. Plus, with the rise of CGI, Hollywood hardcore dumped a ton of puppeteers, special effects artists, make up artists, set designers, robotics/animatronic specialists, etc and a good number of these people were like "**** you, we're going to make attractions with our skills." Not to wax too much poetic but the 90's and 2000's were honestly the perfect storm of events to turn Halloween into this giant thing that's slowly going global.I'm not joking when I say this is super interesting and I had no idea it was a thing. Like, if you told me "Halloween is a 9 billion dollar industry" I would have been like "yeah duh they make a ****load of decorations and people plunder the shelves in and around October". But that's the joke. Hearts is supposed to be obvious for Sora....except that the code name was going to be for Geno. Just like how "Chuckie" the possessed doll would be pretty obvious for Geno, but would be used for Sora. As for Waluigi's Spartan, I just figured it was a perfect off-the-wall LOL WTF??! fake-out of a code name, hinting at Master Chief but then pulling a very trolly bait and switch.Hearts would be too obvious for Sora. I think that "Seventh and thirteenth" would be better in a diabolical way.
I...don't see how that changes anything. Nobody was saying Geno couldn't replace Sheik in the Geno spirit battle. The issue was always that he was a spirit to begin with. Given whether or not spirits are a death sentence is still unproven, this does nothing to meaningfully change spirit speculation. The fan rule of Spirits deconfirm characters is getting weaker with the Cuphead Spirit event. If you don't have the costume, Mega Man as Blue and Red is there. If you do, then its replaced with the Mii Gunner dressed as Cuphead
Agreed. Back onto the topic of Geno. Do you think Geno's a top or bottomAlrighty, let's try to at least get a little more back on topic. Cool?
I imagine Geno would be pretty good due to his excellent zoning capabilities and decent close combat moves.Agreed. Back onto the topic of Geno. Do you think Geno's a top or bottom
Of the tier list. I think he'd be top since he'd probably play like a fast mobile character kinda like inkling with projectiles.
