Sorry, I'd rather have a stage, and this comes from someone who sees echoes as separate fighters.

So much love and effort goes into crafting stages and I want SMRPG to have that because, without a stage, it's pretty much just Geno in Smash and not SMRPG...which of course I would take, but I'd be upset about.

Oh, that is such a tough choice. I like stages a lot. But echo fighter instead? Probably would take the Echo Fighter. I mean, we have over 100 stages already anyways...

Maybe it's just the way I see it, but... SMRPG takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom, and we've got like, what, 7 stages in the Mushroom Kingdom? The Melee Peach's castle stage feels a lot like the SMRPG Peach's Castle, at least to me. I can definitely understand that, though. I wouldn't want a character to come without a stage unless they already had a stage from their series in-game.

I said this a long time ago: give me one character currently in Smash that people didn't absolutely hate for every second they weren't in Smash. Ridley. K. Rool. Banjo. Even before that, but those are our big names.

Being hated gets you into Smash faster than being loved.

Same cycle in the Smash fanbase: commonly suggested character starts getting hate, detractors become obsessed against said character, character becomes playable, detractors whine for a week, get up and dust themselves off, look for a commonly requested character, invent 4 million fan rules why said character will never be playable, rinse, lather, repeat.

That's what I'm saying! New stages hardly ever are fun for me, because I hate losing to jank. I'm not as much of a stickler for banning everything as most tourneys, but so far Hero's stage is the only one I have legal in my most-used ruleset. The rest may as well just stay as BF/FD skins.

Y'know, it's been so long since we've seen the locations in SMRPG that I absolutely think Geno should come with a stage! Just imagine Forest Maze, Bowser's Keep, Star Hill, Nimbus Land etc all in HD, after the last time we saw them 23 years ago in pre-rendered SNES graphics. That'd be amazing, even more so than the upgraded Spiral Mountain from N64 to Switch (huh, what's this Nuts and Bolts you speak of?) which was pretty crazy to begin with. And let's not forget about cameos from characters like Croco, Frogfucius and Boshi, among others.

I'd take Geno by himself of course, but I can't say I wouldn't at least be kinda bummed out if he didn't get a stage to be honest.

Anyways here's my first true contribution to this thread. I think Geno will actually be revealed, but not soon. He will absolutely be the golden ribbon on top of the beautiful present to us that is Smash Bros DLC. The character that ties it all together. Sakurai's final gift to his fans he holds so dear to his heart. It just makes sense to me.

I'm kinda curious on the KOS-MOS copyright stuff going on. I know there was that Megalovania track taken down months before the Sans announcement but the fact that it says Mario Kart Tour makes me a bit confused. Probably doesn't mean anything but I'd gladly be wrong.
