I think the biggest weakness in the /v/ post is that it has no costumes for Dragonborn, just the ones from the list.

The Mii Costume list was provided in mid-July, but it was only made public on October 18th with Papa Genos' video on Crash. This post is dated for the 27th, so either way it came after.

Oh a new leak.

Actually, I have a theory. Remember the "bad news" that fatman talked about and how it's Smash-related and how it'll gonna upset a specific group of people? What if the "bad news" was that Doomguy was never in and it's actually Dovahkiin instead? (and geno isn't affected since if we to believe this leak, geno is one of the post-pass dlc).

Just my crack theory, nothing serious.

Well that is definitely a post on /v/ that reflects exactly what we’ve been talking about today. Without any unique information though it’s kind of just a post on /v/

If it wasn't from almost a month and a half ago, I'd 100% call it just piggybacking off of Fatman's comments and trying to pull one over on us. But coming back in October, and it being that the usual breed of correct 4chan post where it's not seen and/or paid attention to until afterwards...

I just wanna see how Dovahkiin would look and what their alts would be. Will they have female alts?? Different races?

Would be cool to have alternating male/female of the 8 non-beast races (so no Argonians/Khajiit, sorry - UNLESS they do an unprecendented 10 ALTS). So default male Nord, Female Redguard, Male Wood Elf, Female High Elf, Male Orc, etc. etc.

I'm happy for you Genobros if the /v/ leak is true, But man I would be really really sad if the fighter is Dovahkin and not Doomslayer (my most wanted by far)

I think Geno is likely either way so I kinda hope this is fake because Dovahkin is such a lackluster pick imo. I haven't played DOOM and have played Skyrim and enjoyed it and I'd still much rather have Doom Slayer (or Vault Boy would actually be my preference but I'd want Doom Slayer for his fans).

If that leak is legit, then it means we probably lost Doomslayer for good, cuz the Cacodemon is what we'll be getting (and maybe him as a costume) for that series, but are guaranteed Geno. This would fit the bad news cuz the Doom fans are very passionate.

So the timeline seems to be

Papagenos made it public what he heard about the Mallow/Smithy costumes, same person also said Crash Bandicoot. Then this leak happened, and then in November, CacoMallow takes the Smash community by storm

So that leak could be an easy piggyback, objectively. But so far its the only one to call out Dragonborn and its funny how the Mallow costume has been the one thing sticking around for these past months.

Could Geno really be coming home lads?

Problem I have with Dragonborn is mostly the following:
What stage?
What music?
What "canon" Dragonborn?

He falls in the same place that I have people like Steve - and that starts with the fact that "he" isn't even a guarantee. Totally customizable character, might be a human, might be a lizard. There's more than 4 races in Elder Scrolls so they can't just have you swap between male and female of the races because we'd run out of skins before we ran out of types of playable elf.

I hear about the gameplay of The Elder Scrolls all the time. It's no doubt a legend in gaming and stuff like Oblivion and Morrowind are almost never spoken ill of... but no one's ever come up to me and been like "dude the music in this game is an absolute banger", and from playing Skyrim, I don't even remember music outside of the trailer Dovakhin themesong. It's all just atmospheric sounds and every now and again the drumroll of accidentally accepting a quest. Same goes for the locations - every now and again you get something unique (especially in the DLC) but nothing really seems to stand out as iconic enough to make a stage in Smash.

He's a really questionable pick all around. If it means Geno, I will take him, I don't care if the only song he comes with is the trailer themesong and his stage is a mountain that you can glitch to the top of. Geno.

Okay, I did get permission and this will blow your minds. I actually talked to the guy who talked to the Mii costume leaker who talked to him who talked to Papagenos. Got it memorized? Okay, so I talked to this guy and he showed me the original messages he got for both Mallow/Smithy and the Banjo costumes and all the SNK stuff. As a recap, it was said that Terry's costumes would be: Geese Howard, Haomaru, Nakoruru, "Classic SNK costumes", and Kyo. The problem with this is that, reading the original message, the guy never said that these were costumes. "Costumes" was actually a typo and simply meant characters. Why's that important? It wasn't a costume leak... It was a spirit board leak! The person who read this misinterpreted the original message, meaning the leaker wasn't wrong, he was right because he forgot to specify in his message what the list actually was. It was Terry's spirit board, which he got 100%!

"Classic SNK Costumes" is my favorite Spirit in Smash Ultimate.

Spoiler: In all seriousness...

If what you're saying is even true, it's not really a major accomplishment. "Classic SNK Characters" is a broad blanket term that could apply to literally any character SNK owns. Geese Howard, Nakoruru, and Kyo are all characters that appeared in Terry's trailer. Haohmaru is a safe guess based on the presence of Nakoruru (he is the main character of Samurai Shodown). Furthermore, why would this "leaker" explicitly leak costumes last time, but mean Spirits this time, and somehow used the same word to describe both?[

You'd have something if he specifically namedropped Athena, Andy, Joe, Iori, Kim Kaphwan, Ryo, Ralf, and Clark, but he didn't. The majority of the Spirits were shoved together in a single Etcera category by this "leaker".

Stages are easy: High Hrogthar, Throat of the World, or Whiterun
Music: Do you even have to ask?

What Dragonborn: Probably another Hero/Robin/Corrin situation with multiple alts and genders
Nord, Argonian, Kajit, and then probably female variants of those three

Welp! I was getting my dream Poke team together and I come back to some rather good news...only to have some bad news along with it.

I had a little hunch when Terry was revealed that his Spirit Board looked close to the 2nd "Mii Costume" leak. Didn't want to say anything, because "Nah man, they said it was costumes! You dumb!" So I didn't. However that is neither here nor there. The bad news really makes me think it is Bethesda related as others have pointed out. Especially with Fatman's nod to it being bad for a "fan-base".

Either way, I am intrigued to see what will be shown!

He heard stuff from discord before; now insiders who have had trouble with Sabi have come to him.

Ironically what Burb said he lied about was actually all stuff he always clarified as speculation. I think there was something about him saying Sabi made the Jonesy "leak," but I'm sure he just misunderstood that.

We don't take what he says as 100% going to happen, as it is, in fact, speculation; informed speculation, but still.

For music at least, now that Terry got music from all of SNK rather than just his own games, I could easily see the same thing happen for Dragonborn. I know Doom has some fantastic music, though I'll be honest, I'm not too familiar with the music from most of their other games. And I feel like that's the same thing that could happen with Geno. Maybe get a couple songs from Mario RPG, but then also get some music from the other RPG style Mario games.
