Man, Sabi's main source should already step in and tell the character with turned VPN on, these "no namco reps" and "yes there are namco reps" riddles are getting pathetic.

Inti Creates actually. Though I think Sunsoft is still around, they've been properly credited at least, so they probably still hold the rights and everything. Or maybe just out of respect? I'm not too sure tbh. Wish I could find more info on it.

Welp, Travis is next on the chopping block?

It's gotta be someone we've overlooked. Though I'm leaning towards the reveal being the "Oh, this character makes sense! Why didn't we think of this before?" type of character.

I thought so, too, but Sabi said not to bet on him, and then Nin_Karobi or whatever their name is was like, "I'm so, so, so sorry, Sora fans," much like with Lloyd and his disconfirmation, so...

I'm totally lost. Either we and the insiders are all being played or this is going to be the most left-field pick in Smash history.

I was thinking a Sakura Wars or Puyo Puyo character but after Vergeben came in like "NO SEGA LOL" im just out of ideas. I guess Saber is possible......

FOZ will hate me for saying this but I seriously doubt it. Unlike Nintendo and Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are strict competitors and haven't worked on anything meaningful together in two and a half decades. A Sony character would go beyond unprecedented.

Except it clearly is as we still have DLC to go and plenty of missing content. Trying to draw conclusions from patterns that don't exist never works in Smash. In fact I'll do you one better if we see upgrades for first parties it's more likely to be characters who are ATs or Mii costumes than spirits because the dev team felt they were important enough to put time into and not just put a picture.

Katalina from Grandblue Fantasy, a Gatcha Mobile Game.

The only reason i bring her up is because WAY BACK in 2018 (as in just around November and December) Hitagi (some Random person, and people people started to believe in Hitagi because Vergeben seemed to believe too) claimed she was possible. Hitagi also claimed Steve was in, Banjo wasn't in Smash and ****.

Then Hittie backpedaled regarding Katalina and she faded into obscurity, and Hitagi was never heard from again (and Banjo was in LOL)

My memory is a little fuzzy but that's how it went if i remember correctly.

I've been thinking for a while that it might be an indie character. Seems like a nice way to close the Fighter’s Pass. You’ve already got iconic characters that populate the history of video games, and an indie character could be a very nice punctuation to that...Like a way to look ahead toward the future of video games (even though Quote isn’t exactly brand new).

Yeah I'm gonna go out on a hunch and say either Quote from Cave Story or Katalina Granblue will be fighter five if these disconfirmations are true cause I realistically can't think of any other character currently. Travis is still apparently disconfirmed and will likely be until post-pass.

The way I see it, the frontrunners are Quote, a Sony character, and the Heavy, outside of a madman pick like the Peashooter from Plants Vs Zombies or Saber from Fate.

EDIT: oh yeah Katalina too

It's hard to believe but just played a match between Banjo & Kazooie, Incineroar, King K. Rool, Terry Bogard, The Hero, Richter Belmont, Isabelle and Ridley with Megalovania in the background.

Try telling someone that in 2014.

The way I see it there are three levels of potential ****ery:
1. Verge is ****ing with us. He’s a GameFaqs user and as we all know, using that site gives you a +5 to your ****-otry rolls.
2. Verge’s source is ****ing with him. This seems the least likely, but maybe they’re tired of the leak game and trying to go out with some fun.
3. Nintendo is ****ing with the sources. This feels like the most likely, as again they hardcore lied to their own employees last TGA.

And aside from this, there’s still the possibility that what we’ve heard is the truth.

I think Quote would by far be the most logical choice for an indie character, but... isn't Nicalis an absolute dumpster fire right now? Not entirely in the know of what happened exactly but from what I've heard ****'s been going down there so hard, it would be a miracle if we'd get anything Cave Story ever again.
