Doomguy and Geno are my literal last two requests for Smash. Once Geno got in I was gonna root for doomguy and then bounce. So seeing fanart of both doomguy and geno hanging out is super wholesome. If they both got in I would have gotten every single request I wanted.

Yeah, it's a total log jam right now. Now we're holding on to the possibility that VRplant will be willing to share what they know before the presentation but I don't think it's been decided if that will be made public if and when it happens. Based on people spitballing, people are predicting the "big news" for tomorrow could be one or more of the following:

-A major new mode like an expansion of WoL

-An announcement of a future presentation

-An explanation of how "Season 2" will work

-A Mii costume that hilariously steals the show from Terry a second time

Guess we'll wait and see.

Since Sakurai has put it out that Home Run Contest was the last update mode, even if he changes his mind this Terry video isn't going to be where he reveals that twist. My money is on an explanation on Season 2 DLC since that could entail literally anything and take up as much time as necessary, with a future presentation announcement or even a Mii costume in the vein of Sans would be pretty quick to run through.

There are plenty of new modes that could be implimented (Break the Targets, Board the Platforms, Boss Rush, Event Matches, etc.) and I certainly would love some more single player content, I just wish that tomorrow would get here soon since the possibility of a Character announcement or even anything other than Terry is practically non-existent.

After what happened last year, I think I've been switching over to the mindset that even if a character I legitimately dislike gets in, that character is going to make someone happy, and that's worth something. And if Geno gets in, it doesn't really matter to me who else gets in with him, y'know? Everyone being able to celebrate together is the ideal ending for Ultimate, in my opinion.

This could actually explain that one discrepancy with the 02 thing in the timer, as well. Debug mode might have 02 and the extra code stuff, while replays just use the normal time(albeit frozen) and without code.

Yeah, I knew the fact that there isn't much now. I may have mistaken about thinking about the Smash Direct, but Direct or not, anything would suffice. They could still do something. And everyone knows that February is the deadline. I am expecting fighter 5 to be released by then or January. You didn't think I was daft enough to not believe that, did you?

Still, I am really into who the fifth fighter is. I could care less if it were Geno, or someone I really wanted or not, I just want to know who it is. Maybe I wouldn't feel this way if it weren't for the hype from yesterday, if you know what I mean.

I mean, we were kinda the same when isaac’s status was still unknown.

Geno and isaac fans supported each other since our characters were both big fan favorites who had an uphill battle and had been wanted for years. When isaac was sent to AT hell and we in limbo/our fate unknown, there wasn’t anymore else to really help support.

Until now.

Of course the difference here is more about how this leak kinda damn near confirms the others character (or so we hope). If geno is fp5, and comes with that mallow hat, doom marine and that demon hat are practically guaranteed, and vice versa.

I’m sure most Doomguy supporters didn’t/still don’t, care much for geno one way or the other, but if geno gets in with that hat, their guy is a lock, so of course they’re gonna be cheering for us as well.

But what about what the frogger leak is claiming? it mentions that Doomslayer would end the pass while Geno comes next.

What i am saying is that Doomslayer might be fighters pass number five while Geno could be the first character after it. just an assumption.

Knowing Sakurai, he can represent the character well, especially knowing he advocated for Geno. He wouldn't do that if he knew Geno wasn't going to be a good character/he had a good vision for him.
