The fact that he had to point that out makes him come off as being a little salty imo.

Them poll results are pretty interesting, given that Geno is definitely one of the most wanted, but incidentally, also one of the most expected newcomers to show up. Regardless of the existing vitriol some may feel for the character, the fact that he still exists pretty high on the bar for a lot of people certainly says a lot. Fingers crossed that it will eventually result in the ultimate Win!

I can see that, but I think he pointed it out maybe to placate the haters. Anyone in the thick of it knows that outside of his name, Papagenos barely advertises Geno, his discord is allegedly full of Geno haters, and his videos are probably the reason people like Doom Guy and Ryu were above Geno in likelihood. Funny how now the "most likely" has to have a big asterisk on it stating that Ryu's basically out of the running.

Guys, I'm going to make a prediction on #5. I'm going to say three characters that may it. Interested to see what you guys think.

Geno- little bits keep bubbling to the surface and I'm confident he'll be here sooner than later. Not guaranteed for #5, probably the least likely for this but I still think he has a chance to end of the Pass as a big fan favorite.
Rayman- I think Rayman has that level of oddity from the left field to be surprising yet understandable. Ubisoft has been playing ball with Nintendo quite a lot, so I wouldn't be surprised if that causes him to join the roster.
Kratos- I feel like this would have a major surprise factor to it for many people and could be viable, though you'd have to wonder if they'd go with classic or new Kratos...

I actually disregarded the Doom Slayer because there's too many large signs pointing towards him. It feels like he should be the answer but he most likely won't be, simply because the last time the signs pointed to a character, well... you get the idea.

That’s not really placating anyone though. If anything it’s giving people an out to dismiss Geno’s win as being somehow illegitimate. Most people just looking through Twitter for Smash news aren’t going to know the culture of that discord and therefore take his words at face value. It was a pretty **** thing to do if his role was to impartiality report data.

Checking out the DLC section of the SSBU official site, and seeing Joker through Terry, and lastly the still yet unannounced 5th DLC fighter, it got me thinking. Excluding Piranha Plant, the background color I see missing among the four characters already revealed/released is Green. Sure, there's color theory with it having the color orange missing, but putting that theory aside, I strongly feel that the missing background color in the current Fighters Pass is green. I remember last week or so, someone had inspected the Fighters section of the official SSBU site, and by removing the question space of the yet-to-be-revealed 5th DLC fighter, the background color was green (a green similar to Piranha Plant's). Sure it may be a placeholder color, but I thought, "what third party characters could go with a green-ish background?" Considering the leaks and information we've known up until now, I started checking off the following:

The following is just my opinion; please do not take it seriously, etc., etc. I'm only saying here, ok?

- Not Ryu Hayabusa due to leaker sources saying not to expect him as DLC #5, in addition his background color would be more either an azure, or black color (imo).
- Not DOOM Slayer because his background color would be orange (like most of the DOOM box arts).
- Not Lara Croft because we already have a Square Enix rep in the Pass (though two reps of a same third-party could still be a possibility), and her background color would most likely be either light orange, or sand color (like her early game title font colors).
- Not Lloyd Irving because his background color would most likely be a sky blue (or similar blue to Terry's) to contrast with his outfit, and in reference to the Tales of Symphonia box art (background color).
- Not Heihachi Mishima since his background color would be more of an intense/red-ish orange (like the series kanji logo).
- Not Crash Bandi... actually... not sure since some of the box arts have had a good amount of green, but the most consistent colors I've seen around him are yellow and orange (color of his game titles), and blue (to contrast somewhat with his fur color).
- A Resident Evil character neither since colors prominent on their box arts quite varied (although, Cris Redfield's uniform, and Leon Kennedy's shirt due come close to a similar hue of green so... either could be the one).
- Not Dante since his background color indubitably would have to be red (his coat is red, the early game titles are red), or to contrast with his own prominent color, background could be blue.
- Not Geno (this is hard to say) since his background color would be either yellow, or blue to match either of his colors, and also he's yet another Square Enix rep.

This just to give an idea in regards to characters that have been speculated the most for the 5th spot in the Pass. I decided to check then images of Rayman box arts and... bingo. Rayman 2, Rayman Origins, and Rayman Legends; all three have box arts in which the most prominent color is a hue of green similar to the one currently present behind the 5th DLC fighter's question mark (if removing it via inspect element). Sure, Rayman is a Spirit, but again, the fact he's a spirit in the base game doesn't not rule him out as a possible newcomer (yet). As another well known platform game character, he just fits into the roster. Quite some time ago, I thought that the fact that they added the Sukapon assist trophy (which imo is the most random of them all) perhaps was made to test out a possible base model for Rayman (since Sukapon is also a limbless character). Heck, in the Rayman Spirit battle, they added Sukapon to reference him.

Dunno, maybe I'm over-thinking things but, Rayman can't be left as a simple spirit. Maybe not DLC #5 but, he's gotta make it in.

It's pretty mind-boggling, but at the same time, I kiiiinda get it? People are in there because they want insider information, not because they're Geno fans. Same goes for Sabi's Discord. The Geno theme-age doesn't matter at all to his audience as long as they get their information.

Ohhhooo man, though. If (when?) Geno makes it, I'm pumped to see how he reacts... unless he gets inside knowledge before anyone else and loses that surprise factor.
