I could not find the tweet, but the “Milk-Bosatu twitter leaker” said the character used a flying weapon as in Hammer-Bro with the hammers (he posted a picture of Hammer-Bro) not as in a “bird” type of weapon. (this was months ago, in case it actually is real) So there is nothing pointing to Nakoruru, but i think this fits Mai.

He/She did not speak English, that is why he/she used ther term “flying weapon”

... so this was a thing to discover this morning. I'm going to laugh my ass off if my prediction of a double reveal goes through after no one else thought it would happen but we'll have to see.

So SNK is all but confirmed for Tuesday then? Well a bit disappointed the surprise is gone but I adore basically everything SNK made and considering the initial switch eshop lineup was nes rando indie games and a ton of snk neo geo games I can see where this came from. I love kof especially dream match on my dc so Terry would be really cool but metal slug is by far my fav so if they found some way to make an interesting fighter with that I would be ecstatic. That said we unfortunately already have a perfectly fitting piece with that samsho girl with the bird which matches a leak from a while back most are aware of and possibly the starling but Im iffy on that. Cj said that guy also called 5 as a character already present in smash so if that's true and we get the first part them I thing genos chances are actually insane so I don't see why the sour mood.

Also could fatman or anyone from the private geno discord confirm if any of the private picture hints could relate to anything snk related? Would make this easier.

Terry's a cool character so I don't quite get the hate for him. KoF is a different beast entirely from Street Fighter so it's not as simple as "another traditional fighter character."

It happens every time, every single time we as a community come up with some reasons as to why a character or characters we want can't or won't happen, they're always proven wrong. Then we come up with new ones or move the goalposts on the ones we still stick with and the cycle continues.

The Banjo thread was exactly like this. Even when we had all sorts of evidence pointing towards Banjo & Kazooie's inclusion, up to and including an industry insider all but outright stating that they were in, we all still acted like it was never gonna happen, coming up with all sorts of reasons as to why it'll never happen, so we can continue to stew in our own pessimism and hopelessness. I understand being skeptical, I mean I'm all sorts of skepical these days, but unless there's something more substantial that outright means that Geno isn't coming, PLEASE stop presenting and arguing these assumptions as ironclad rules.

But wait if the Banjo thread was just like this then shouldn't we...not change since they actually got their character in? Lol

Honestly, KOF's max mode mechanic fits into the theme, at least so far, of DLC characters bringing in new mechanics. Like Arsene for joker, heros RNG, and a theorized focus on collecting for banjo.

Well, couldn’t it be possible that they accidentally put the SNK copyright there? I mean, if that SNK DLC has the same file size and copyright, it’s definitely possible that somehow the file size of the Smash DLC got onto the SNK Heroines page and somehow the copyright for SNK on the SNK Heroines page got on the Smash #4 page by accident.

It's not tied to the starling leak. As the source made it clear, the bird species mattered. If he was hinting towards her, he would have used a hawk.

I guess it's because people are bound to get pessimistic when the number of remaining slots for DLC seems to drop from two to one. I'm predicting a lot of doom and gloom in most of these newcomer threads once Fighter Pack 4 is revealed.
