I could have sworn Jeff did poorly at another tournament or two in the past month.

Then again, that might have just been my imagination.
Well obviously the only ppl he has lost to recently are lucky, Mango, Lunin, PinkShinobi, Zhu and Germ.

He hasnt had any bad loses that shows he should just be taken off. All those players he lost too are legit.

I suggest u go back and check those results before making any quick acquisition of what u think the crew should be. Sorry I find that your opinion of the crew isn't legit until you check every recent results, and that you know what everyone is capable of.

Also I think people who have clear knowledge of all these players capabilities should decide what the WC crew should be as well as counterpicks, and so forth. Everyone elses decisions are only opinions based on what they see on videos. I mean playing in the same area... U get a sense of idea how the other person plays cause u probably run into him in tournament a lot but in out of region tournament thats a lot different.

I also agree with SideFx that everyone should just continue on improving. Except for me cause I wont be entering tournies for awhile * I think*

i don't see how people can say that SS has been doing poorly lately and take him off, then put hugs on the list when hugs has just been playing brawl lately

also, regarding texas

given that this is happening on the WC, I doubt that any non-standard "west coast" states would need to join the "west coast" crew to give it enough players

you shouldn't be adding states to "strengthen" a crew; you should only really add them to make sure they have the minimum number of players

All the people Jeff have lost to are either legit themselves, or play him so often that they know how he plays.

People shouldn't be super shocked that Tang beat Jeff in a set.

Axe might deserve a slot.

You're ****ing ******** if you think Timmy does though. The guy is good, but he definitely isn't good enough to be on the coast's top 10.

p.s.

I think Jeff can step it up easily...

But...

He hasn't been so hot recently. Esp yesterday... but apparently, he was sick... soo.. I guess he's off the hook for that.

But we'll see how things work out in the next 5 months.
look im not ******** because if it wasn't for timmy we SV would not exist

I don't think it's ridiculous to put me as a shoe in for this team.

But I do think it's ridiculous to discount SS as a candidate as well.

so that automatically makes him good enough to be on the crew?

i don't think so lol
but yea, let the ppl that know what they're talking about discuss this

i.e. not me and not you lol

That doesn't mean he's on the coast's top 10. He's not even close.

Btw, I don't know how good Romeo is.. I just heard he was good. DOES he play?

p.s.

I think HugS in his prime, which, if he decided to play Melee, he would be at by Genesis, is better than Jeff.

I also think so about King.

I said some dumb stuff in this thread (specifically, discrediting Jeff, but I realize I was wrong on that call), but some of the other stuff I said was legit.

Hugs in his prime did better the Jeff when it came to tournament results and such.

Jeff hasn't been to enough big tournaments to be compared evenly with Hugs.

But whenever they do play each other, its fairly close.

team captains are to be picked by the community.

it is then up to the community as a whole, (with final decisions by the team captain) to pick the 12 people needed for crew battles.

once the crew is set in stone. the team captain MUST make a thread in the regional crew battle forum in the www.norcalsmash.com/forums thread to be part of the crew battle.

am I the only that thinks this is hilarious??
lmao.

The top people on the west coast off the top of my mind are:

AZ:
Forward
Wobbles
Taj

SoCal:
Mango
Lucky
HugS
Zhu

NorCal:
PinkShinobi
Me
SilentSpectre

Washington:
SilentWolf
DJCombo

I don't know enough about taj, SW, DJCombo, and HugS.

I'm confident in the rest of the players I listed (yes even myself).

EDIT:

From best to worst (currently):

Mango
Forward
Wobbles
Lucky
Zhu
PinkShinobi
HugS/Jeff/Me/SilentWolf/DJC/Taj

Taj beat Wobbles in their tourney match, and I think Wobbles also thinks that Taj is better than him.

I think WC's top 10:

Mango, Forward, Taj, HugS, Wobbles, Ka-master, Zhu/Lucky, Pink, Jeff

Then again, I might be a bit on the biased side with my 2-5

These were judged based on the player's skill levels that I think they'll be at by Genesis.

I don't know if anyone knows this, but Jeff was really sick at Quakfest yesterday, and still played through the tournament on NYQUIL. For anyone who might not know what nyquil does, it makes you insanely drowsy. He told me this before the tournament even started, he said he didn't have dayquil at his house, lol. Say what you want about Johns or whatever, but I will John for him since he really doesn't care about the people who say that he's has been performing badly lately. Jeff at 100% is twice better than anyone in Norcal hands down.

I'm not saying I'm better than jeff. I have a feeling that he may be better than me, but that's because I played with him so much.

I have a better record against him (like, 28-25 or something like that). We placed similarly or very close at all regional tournaments we've been to together.

Even our sets with mango, zhu, & shinobi were identical (1-3, 2-3, 1-2) or something like that.

this thread is dumb. arguing about people being better than others 6 MONTHS AWAY is really stupid, and a waste of time.

bring up prospective players to be on the list is not on the other hand.

but just straight up saying someone is better due to whatever reason, or so and so thinks so is not legit. it will always have a biased from where ever region that person is from, and its just lame to argue opinions.

i say we start talking about PICKING people for teams.. a month away from the tournament. not 6 **** months.

as far as discussion goes, i dont care where you guys talk about it, thats not up to me to decide, but as far as making the post to have the top 10/12 for WC, that needs to be in a thread on the norcal forums.

sorry if it was a misunderstanding
