Genesis 2 - Who's going?/Smash 64 Group Discussion

I was thinking about it, and I'll probably end up recording an SSB64 montage throughout the days there covering specifically 64 and the 64 community. We don't have many (if any) videos like this.

What do you guys think?

I will Defentley be attending along with at least 3 other great players for some intense SSB64 games.

Cant wait, does anyone know if they will have the right tv's there? or do we need to bring some.

I think KoRo is saying once the video is finished, I should make a topic in the general 64 forums, which I'll do.

I'd be happy to accept other video clips as well from other people. I'd like to make it a quite long video, because this will be a big event not just for smash in general but for the 64 players too. I see some pretty noticeable people saying they're coming or going to try and go.

coming from arizona, it might be cheaper to drive. but time wise, itll be smarter to fly.

We need to get dates and times on when the N64 part of this is going on or if its happen, also lets get everyone who is 100% sure going to this on a list. Try to get everyone who has to fly to buy sooner then later as it will cost more later. Make sure you all get that time off of work by puting in your reqwest asap.

I will need as much info as I can get as I would be flying in. Tickets are only $140 for me right now so the sooner I am able to get it the better, but wont get them untel im 100% sure on somethings.

i just pm'ed sidefx and asked him for more details regarding the smash 64 event. I will be following up on getting the details to u guys.

also, i was able to get time off for this tourney (Thurs - Mon), so i am able to pick up/drop off people from/at the airport. It would be much easier for me if you guys flew in to the Oakland International Airport.

also, in order to try to save u guys some money (especially those who are traveling from out of state), i think theres enough smash 64 players in norcal to be able to house people. i can definitely house a few.

Sounds great everyone. I can speak for a handful of people that will be coming and say that i am excited. we will just drive out of phoenix. we have plenty of new controllers/tube tv's/systems.

I would love to do as much as to help host it. i just need more info.

can't wait.

Cool me, Kefit and my gf will need to be picked up from that airport for sure. I will hit you up as soon as we get the tickets. As for house anyone willing to house us would be great to save even more money :)

There is a place here in Phoenix selling some fresh controllers anywhere from 15 to 20. i'm about to get another one. you can't have too much.

I would be down for some money matches for sure. 5 bucks a stock or something. open minded.

And about the controllers. i will check the stores inventory. they have like 100+ of them and the lady lets me go through as many as i want to check the joysticks. i only buy the freshest ones.

I will most likely pay 20 for them and can sell them for 25. i figure that fair. (i'll bring them to the event.)

When i get paid let you guys know how much really good ones i can find. looks like so far i can sell 4 of them.

If i win we must play again and upload. for fun.

call me ignorant, or accuse me of not being ready, thats fine, but the offer is on the table and you have got to admit., this is going to be interesting. And i won't disappointed.

oh cool. hey, besides Rancorous, who else will be having smashfests at there house before/after the Genesis? Myself and my group would love to attend as many as possible.

Same, We've come to the realization that my GF wont be going so while i am there ima be playing smash64 the entire time essentially :p

I'd also like to say i just got my income tax back today and got $1300 ..most of which will probably be going towards this.

If my attendance was ever questionable it isn't any more :p
