People tend to "fill in" information when they see certain visual cues. Dash dance blizzard is less common than the roll/spotdodge startups, and people aren't always ready for a desync out of a dd. Of course, somebody more familiar with ICs' desyncs will obviously be more wary of these ploys, but they still have some viability.

What stage should I take a campy Sheik to?

They invariably ban FD and usually strike Yoshi's as well. Assuming I have CP, should I go to FoD or Yoshi's? Or is there someplace better I can take them (since FD is banned)? Is DL/BF any better than FoD? I don't like Battlefield/DL64 much because of the ease of platform camping for Sheik ...

I strike to FoD. I don't like platform camping either, and FoD would be really good if the platforms didn't interfere with your chaingrabs. I usually cp Pokemon Stadium, but be forewarned, she can camp the transformations... really hard...

Dreamland is good against Sheik since it's hard for her to corner you. It's really hard for Sheik to deal with smart, defensive play, so the more room for you, the better, at least most of the time. Small stages still aren't necessarily bad, although I avoid FoD against Sheik since I think it's her best neutral against ICs; the platform heights work better for her than they do for you and the dthrow CG tends to end early because of low platforms, which is a pretty big deal.

I used to always CP Stadium since it's really wide; the transformations are weird, but you can just wait for them to end, as Sheik can't approach you any better than you can approach her then.

Regarding Sheik camping on big stages, it's not that hard to deal with since Sheik really doesn't pose much of a threat when she camps. She can throw needles, bair, fair, etc, but she can't catch you off-guard with a sudden approach the way a fastfaller can. If Sheik wants to stick to platforms, let her; in the long run, that will usually work out better for you than it will for her as long as you don't get antsy and leave the ground often.

Thanks, guys.

Hm. I guess I've just been going about it wrong. I never thought about how much stage control Sheik would have on FoD/Yoshi's, plus the d-throw cgs being inhibited on FoD didn't occur to me.

I don't know how to explain why, but I would definately take BF because IMO it would be the best stage for sheik to camp against IC (so I'll be disadvantaging me but in fact I feel like it's easier that way, can't really explain why though lol)
I guess it's because if you beat someone at his game he's done so if you take this and you find a way to deal against the camping of sheik you'll be ****** her haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard... In the same way, sometimes I feel like it's harder to deal against some Fox on DF than on the other fields.

My ICs vs my crewmate's Puff. Please watch and comment!
"This matchup...grr. No johns but this is rough once puff knows whats up."
So you agree on the fact that Puff>IC or what? I thought I was the only one thinking that...
I don't have any comments but anyway I guess you don't care lol.
And shall we post videos on this thread or on the match up one or maybe we should create a thread "Video"?
IC in orange are rare.

i like red

hey peef

not bad

1. play gayer. if shes on the ledge, just blizzblock till she goes above u
2. dont wd toward her unless u REALLY see an opening. a lot of times its just a gamble
3. more dair :) its ur friend

basically, u approach a lot when u dont need to. focus more on defense, and u will find urself getting hit much less. make puff work for a hit. sometimes i like when she tries to go through my shield, and i hit her with like 4 dairs LOL.

Thanks guys, and for the record, I only play Red. I just accidentally picked the wrong color and kept it. I can only play Red and Orange because thats the way I know the sounds.

lmao is that jayford?

anyway one thing i noticed is that you tried to jab-grab a lot, and he was good at di'ing out of it. in fact i think you got cc rested for it once or twice. instead of that try just approaching with wd-shield. this can mess up puff's spacing a LOT and allow you to punish him OOS with a bair or grab or dsmash or something. there were at least a few rests in there that he pulled off just because you did a wd forward without shielding afterwards. shield is your bff vs. puff.

also use aerials like bair and uair more, and smashes less. make him scared to camp in the air and on platforms. abuse ice block spamming when you can.

Hey peef when puff misses a rest and you have lots of time to set it up like you did early in the match, you can charge a forward smash with nana into popo grab into the handoff for a bit more damage I believe.

Yeah, haha I posted that a year ago, but it has problems now.

Basically, after the fsmash lag, they can usually break out if you try anything fancy. The best option is desyncing nana>blizzard and grabbing with popo to start an immediate blizzobble.

So, I was at a tourney today and I was doing quite well, but we were kicked out of the venue and the event had to be canceled. -_-

Looooool

I was at a tourney yesterday and playing like trash. The police got called because of a noise complaint or something on top of people(myself included) drinking and we got kicked out.

We finished the tourney at someone's apartment though.

I got 9th. :(

ommmmmg that guy needs to quit being a poser. I heard he tried to enter a tournament as Jayford lmfao.
/name search
Since you'll namesearch Jayford I'll post it here.

He entered a tournament as Jay. Because that is his name, and that is the name he has always used. He got 13th at SMYM9 so to me, sounds like he has rights to it (and would beat you for it =D) He does not enter as Jayford, but will be entering as Jaynal for now on.

I want Fly to be the best Ice Climber main.

Even if he has to second Sheik to do it.
The whole Sheik-for-Peach thing is working out pretty well. The last set I played yesterday was against Connor, whom I beat with Sheik first round and ICs second (I didn't want to stay Sheik since he has a Fox and I'm lousy at Sheik vs. spacies).

At the time, I was upset the tourney was canceled since I think I had a good shot at taking first, but it's not really something worth stressing over.

Very little. There was only one recording set-up and people were trying to get things done as quickly as possible, so people would play matches on whatever TVs were available rather than letting interesting matches wait to be recorded.
