Just think of it as a strategy then, "sandbag" in friendlies to make the opponent thbink you´re worse then you are in tournament matches, no loss there.

I do try in friendlies, I just don't chaingrab to my full potential and I try new and exciting techniques
BS!!!!!

o wait never played you in friendlies and refuse to watch your live stream cus 90% of the time i hear you yelling and turn it off instantly

i suck at the chain grabs and hand offs yet place about the same if not better then most IC players idk how or why tis weird.

hey any ICs going to event 52?

wobbles think arkansas is taking a car and idk how many spots we have so if you and doh wanted to ride up here then ride with us it might be cool gotta see what everyone else is doing

No no no. Is nobody else irked when a lesser player brags to their friends about beating you in a friendly? There will be nothing but animosity there. I try to always give the other player an excuse even when I win in tournament. I act like I don't give a sh*t about anyone's heart on the boards, but I really try not to do that to smashers IRL. I HATE it when someone will say "yeah I beat PEEF in a couple friendlies, I did better than I thought I would!" That is an insult to me because I did worse than he expected apparently, even though I was just trying to play some goddamn friendlies in a non-serious manner.

Obviously I'm not going to quit LOL that is an exaggeration, but I see why some people have, and the better known I get the more it happens. It is also a problem that I am either extremely overrated (some lower level players think I'm basically Wobbles, and it gets reinforced because I get to do nothing but grab them LOL) or im extremely underrated (especially Midwesterners sometimes remember me being terrible back in the day.)

ignore it peef friendlies are for fun and trying new stuff

if you want my A game you have to ask for it cus 90% of the time i'm just going to try to be flashy and try something that will either get me killed or u killed.

people don't understand friendlies you don't always play to win

sure if someone new is coming to play me then first 2-3 will be maybe legit but rest will be goofing off trying ****

how is it insulting that they expect you to be good?

it sounds like the only insult is coming from your pride. if you don't want bad players posting about doing well against you in friendlies, beat them harder; no johns.

whew, this marth i train with got really good at the matchup. spaced fair, nair, dtilt on our shield.

what can we do vs dtilt if we are cornered? if i anticipated he is gonna dtilt again, fair oos works. synced sh blizz works too sometimes. but i can be hit out of them if he does a diff attack. being pushed to the ledge is really bad...

in any other situation i can put myself at an advantage, but if marth is mid stage and spacing fair nair dtilt its mad hard!

just gotta keep him outta there i guess.

if you're cornered, you can try buffering a roll behind him. obviously you don't wanna do it too much, but it can be pretty hard to react to, and his punishment options (turnaround grab, side+b...) are a lot less dangerous.

Last night Fly brought you up on the stream. Here is the conversation. I was totally wasted.

Fly: Choknater is pretty good.

Drunken PEEF: Choknater? CHOKNATER?

Kage via skype: Pretty good? I don't know man.

PEEF: Pretty unheard of.

Its not really an IC stream. Its a stream of The#Jay and I and sometimes Jekyll playing games and talking. And I hope to see you there sometime. =]

VIDDDDDS

my grab game against Axe is particularly off which is why I start going for just basic d-throw+smashes by the end but I make up for it by being absolutely BALLER elsewhere. Also Pika vs. ICs is a lot harder than I thought it was! But it also looked pretty tough from his end so yeah.

And I recommend viewing my last match against DoH if you want to see some Peach ICs Brinstar action, which I know you all do, all the time.

Dthrow wd smashes looks to work as well against pika like against shiek(not mentioning regular chaingrab that I think should be close to as good,l might be wrong though), wasn't aware that it´s possible to time in an fsmash there which you did once.

Fsmash should be superior(optioncovervise, maybe not powerwise) to dsmash since it covers jump a bit better, making both no DI, DI in and DI away+jump from the dthrow covered by simple reaction.

Something I noted, alot of times Axe got the ledge for free, maybe you wanted to stay away from the ledge and not risk getting gimped or something but there should be a way of pressuring Pika to get predictable at the edge. It might be some timing on edgeghog (taking away that option), or an Fsmash(chu offensive style, check some matches against falcos to know what I mean)/dsmash.

You are exactly right, I spent a lot of time thinking "hey I could probably take his edge" but then I thought, "I would rather figure that out in a friendly some other time" and just stayed safe. I have seen him gimp far too many space animals that played aggressively near the edge and even though ICs are a bit different they're still susceptible to those u-airs.

Pikachu can get around Sheik through good maneuvering. He can't really escape from ICs though. ICs also have a better finisher/edgeguard than Sheik has.
