Smasher89:

Desyncing takes time to set up though, and a platform camper is all about giving you no time to hit him. If you used a gimmick like that repeatedly, it would become predictable and probably result in Nana taking a lot of free punishment.

Then we face very different players, the ones that goes for platformcamping against me only stays on the platforms to keep their space (except for falcos, but I wouldn't call their "platformcamping" for)camping and let the clock tick trying to effectively play to frustrate/ win on timeout (hax for example uses this strategy).

It's been something like half a year since I've timed anybody out. This is partially because it's been a while since I've played anybody who is good with a terrible character on a big stage, but mainly because Corneria is usually banned.

If you find yourself playing against a Puff on DK64, camp the center. Try to maintain a very large light-shield and don't forfeit control of the middle easily. It's difficult in general for Puff to do much to shielding ICs aside from pushing them to the side, and the gap in the center makes it harder for her to pressure you from the side, so that is typically a really safe place to be against her. Attack only sporadically and you've got a decent shot at beating her in the attrition war.

that's why i like dair at the right times cuz it usually hits her before it hits me, and keeps me safe

Speaking of dair, I dair shields too often and get punished for it. I should just waveland away if I'm landing right next to somebody with good OoS options.

edit: Yeah, bair/nair are really good substitutes for dair in a lot of situations.

It's like a mini-Peach-nair. It provides uniformly good coverage and will typically beat out things like spacies' aerials from any direction except behind, so it's a great gtfo move. I've probably said that a few times, but it doesn't hurt to reiterate it.

It does, but it lasts for a long time, so if you stuff it in someone's face and get it out before them, you can catch them out of what they were trying to do. There's not much of a hitbox behind them, but there's one up and behind them (kind of like diagonally over their shoulders) which is useful sometimes.

I just spam b-air and sh u-air until I catch the other player out of their movement and start a combo. My playstyle is very un-IC like, which is probably why I'm not a great IC player...

I don't use nair much. I feel like it's useable against Falcon at times for outprioritizing his aerials (like dair and knee), but it's so risky because it loses to raptor boost and things like that.

Whenever I'm falling down I always use fair to cover the ground below me and slightly in front of me. Try to space it if it hits a shield, and it's usually pretty safe. It has better knockback than dair to be sure.

The waveland back thing that Fly was talking about is really good too. People usually feel like they have to do something when ICs are falling down, and the waveland gets you out of their way, but you almost always have time to wd back in and punish their action.

What we fall for entirely depends on the player, Laijin.

ICs are one of the few characters who are VERY versatile in how they can be played, so you aren't going to find one specific strategy that works against us unless you are a character like Peach, Ganondorf, Samus, etc...

Sorry I can't help :/

generally though, spaced bairs, platform camping, needles are all very effective vs ic's. it's harder but u can also space fairs in a way that can't get shield grabbed, especially when u follow up with jabs

just hit nana then kill her. needles are good at stopping ic's

just watch out for ic's camping you back ;)

i went to a tourney yesterday, and my climbers did the best against someone who usually ***** me.
so i am considering actually playing the climbers instead of just ****in around with them to keep me interested.

also i decided that if people want to grab me, ill let them (my nana because ill walk/run forward), i mean i usually just wavedash away from like every approach into a roll desynch -> blizz if i think they will chase

but if they really i want the grab, ill just put nana in my way, and dsmash them out of the grab into a tech chase grab at low percent, and an edgeguard at high, does this sound solid? or just only vs baddies?

ill only do it when i see people rely on grabs to much and dont know the matchup very well, cuz i mean even if ur fox and u kill nana with bthrow 2 shine, u dont sit there and try to grab the whole time, you try and seperate them and then grab.

Well, Wobbles lost to Rayku. So maybe. I didn't see the first match of the set, though, so I don't know if he was being aggressive or if he just got outplayed.

its kinda hard to follow what u are saying

but yeah its always good to experiment with strategies and follow ups but never plan too far ahead, cuz there are factors that happen in matches that always turn out in ways that u cant predict. soon enough u'll know all ur options

i wouldnt 'let' nana get grabbed in any situation. lots of chars have invincible throws with hitboxes

Aggresive Ice climbers easier to beat?, a super double deluxe mode Ice climber with Nana stepping up her game is like double as much pressuring as every other char in every other game, no way they will be easier to face then campy ones.

I think they mix it up, just with different stules on when and how to approach.

Like a few general things that actually work against peach:
