Most anime is perverted and horribly written. No, I have tried Dragon Ball, Soul Eater, Attack on Titan, Claymore, Bleach, Inuyasha and Naruto. The community has forum threads where they "claim characters waifus", and probably a whole lot more.

All of the listed stuff is in the same sort of vein. Try Berserk, Eyeshield 21 or Wagnaria.

Don't judge a medium by its fanbase. As obnoxious as much of the crowd is, that's no reason to generalise heavily like that.

You DO realize I haven't put an ounce of real thought into this, ever.
Ah, yes, the classic 'lol idc' retreat of the utterly speechless highschool ****poster. Of course you didn't put thought in, you were fuelled by bias and hate. Pathetic.

Eyeshield 21 was so faking interesting..... until it got to its final arcs.
But yea you can't judge certain things based on its fanbase.

...

Am I being trolled? What is this unprovoked nonsense?

Also, I'd like to make the claim that most stories in any medium are horribly written, so if you're serious then I really don't see why you felt the need to point this out.

90 per cent of all media is pure crap, I know. If you don't think this then you're not critical enough.

Or you are extremely critical...

Either way, you put per cent instead of "Percent" or "%". I can't take you seriously.

Obvious troll is obvious.

I think I found an amazing gif for my sig

Being extremely critical is better than not being critical enough. Also, "per cent" is technically correct, although not as widely used.

Depends heavily on the context, being close-minded due to actively searching out and/or focusing on criticisable elements (this WILL happen) is poor practice in all walks of life

For the record, you haven't tried any worthwhile anime. Check the first post and watch a handful of those shows before trying to assess the merits of an entire medium.

Let's not be rude, now. Shouldn't you be watching Sakura Trick?
Only after I start and finish hellsing, but I can't muster the energy to do either XD

I just finished what is out of shingeki's spinoff "before the fall"

Shinkegi No Kyojin's english dub is going to premier at Anime Boston.
I can't wait for the dub to come out, then I get to complain about how
much the dub sucks and watch subbed again.

>watching the dub just to make fun of it

True sublords have no need to even entertain the idea of a dub.

Seriously though, I wouldn't even bother dealing with a dub to a show I've already seen subbed unless people say the dub is extremely good.

I have only really liked 2 dubs.
Soul Eater (minus black star)
And blue exorcist.

Subs are better, but some series I can stand to watch in English. If the cast is good, I like to hear it in english.

Anime boston. The cast is gonna be revealed over the course of the next month.

I have a friend I watch anime with regularly during the week and he's a dublord while I'm a sublord so when we watch one of his shows, we watch it dubbed and when we watch my shows, we watch it subbed. Surprisingly the ones he's shown me have had good dubs. Off the top of my head, we've seen Darker Than Black, A Woman Named Fujiko Mine (watching this now and it's awesome), Baccano, Samurai Champloo, Afro Samurai, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion (although I hear the sub is better on this one), and Trigun.

The ones I can recall that I showed him and were subs were Aku no Hana, Shingeki no Kyojin, Gurren Lagann, Tsuritama, and Yami Shibai. I was going through my MAL and I realized that most of the shows we've seen that I showed him we ended up finding and watching the dubs which include: Another, Baka to Test, Death Note, Golden Boy, Mirai Nikki, and Cromartie High.

Next up on this list after we finish Fujiko Mine is I'm gonna show him Bakemonogatari and see if he wants to finish the series out or not. I don't mind either way since that's kind of a lot of episodes, but that last arc in Monogatari S2 was soooooo good so I kinda hope he does actually.

Also, never watch the Baka to Test dub. It was sooooooo bad. I was practically begging for the sub for the first few episodes and the only reason to watch it dubbed is for the narrator.

Also also, I'm totally watching Lupin the Third over the summer. We watched Castle of Cagliostro and we're watching Fujiko Mine and I love love love it.

At least you say some dubs are good. I'll watch a dub if it is watchable. Blue Exorcist had a better dub than dub IMO, the voices seemed to fit better.

I am really interested to see how they dub Shingeki. It has to be good or fuimation won't her the end of it.

I'm actually not a huge fan of Funimation. The dubs I've liked (all of which I own basically since there's so few) are Golden Boy, [kinda] Death Note, Cowboy Bebop, Baccano, [kinda] Summer Wars, Afro Samurai, [maybe] Ouran (it's been years, Ouran is one of my first anime), and FLCL. I did briefly check out the dubs for TWGOK and Tsuritama after I bought them on Rightstuf during the winter sales and they seemed pretty good. Another's was alright as well.

Funimation dubs are usually average at best. Sometimes they are good, and other times you get black star...

They're the best in the business from what I've seen. The few Aniplex I've seen tend to have awkward dialogue, and Viz is just bad all around, I don't know who else is dubbing right now. Funimation tends to have natural dialogue(as natural as you can make a guy yelling something like GUM GUM PISTOL anyways) and good voice direction, there's not much I can complain about with their more recent dubs I've seen.

I don't really have a preference either way, the whole dub vs. sub thing is silly.

I may just have a bias against them then. They butchered Baka to Test SO HARD and I loved that show to death so that incident made me really want to avoid their dubs.

I won't deny that they probably have some bad dubs. I'm just speaking from experience and I don't look at everything, most of the anime I watch is subbed since I usually watch a show before it ever gets a dub. I'm probably biased too, I enjoyed the FMAs, and most importantly they got Baccano! so very right.

Oh, and they saved One Piece in NA. They are the true heroes of anime because of that as far as I'm concerned.
