Come on GP you can't take Ganon as a main, at least with Ike you can actually beat players that are worse than you.
Although Ganon does have the marvelous trait of making people go lolGanon and being carelessly aggressive, making it kinda easy to beat people with him.

Well yeah, that was also one of the reasons. But Ganon is so infinitely fun. He also has a magical ability to make anyone who loses to him get super depressed. Hell, I've put many peoples characters into retirement just because I've ***** them so hard they just cant bear to use them anymore

can imagine it's a useful mixup. But it would definetely be one to just catch people out a little bit occasionally, the damage given by the tipman hitbox is a bit low for the commitment made.
One more thing, Some of the ganon guide stuff is pretty badly outdated. I reckon we should try to polish and update them as a community. Like for example: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=190763. has plenty of things which are imcomplete and could be removed/finished. and some parts of it belong elsewhere (e.g: 'The uses of Utilt' should go with Utilt in the general ganon guide) and needs some newer stuff added (SHFF B-air, etc.)
While on the topic of the ganon guide. I feel the frame data should be put into the guide too. It should look a little like thing IMO: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?p=10690786#post10690786 (yes I meatride ike boards XD)
I personally feel moveset analysis is the most important part of guides. Telling people the pros and cons and all that. This is just how i reckon the layout should be (probably with updated hitox images, etcetc)

RAR UAir's good in Ganon dittos, but elsewhere it's too easy to get past.
