I don't care what weapon Ganondorf uses, I just want him to stand out as his own character. And I want him to use a magic projectile of some sort, that'd be cool.

I don't think there's a limit towards characters in a franchise and I don't think that Toon Link, Shiek AND Ghirahim would get in before Ganondorf.

Ghirahim would be a cool newcomer, but I'd prefer Vaati instead.
Vaati would sort of suit the game more than Ghriahim, now that I think of it. Having another character related to Toon Link would be great (not Toon Zelda or anything like that) since it would give him more purpose instead of being called a clone and nothing more.

We should just have Impa as 6th Zelda character.

She would play as the 'Ganondorf with sword' playstyle we always envioned, but with more agility and ninja-related stuff. Which would make her even more awesome than TP Ganondorf + sword I feel. Far more awesome.

Keep Ganondorf as a brutal fist fighting character who specialises in Dark Magic. All problems solved.

Prio #1 = A Jab that is actually useful.
I've always really liked his jab actually. It's great for knocking people away to give you a little room to breathe and is just one of the most disrespectful moves to me. Seriously, he just throws his palm into their face.

I do like the badassness of the move, but I don't want a breather as Ganon - having to approach all over again.
A one-two, or one-two-three Jab, with a strong Jab Cancel Game would be sinister.

Definitely in the next game, they're pushing her more than anyone else.

I Agree. The Zelda series need another rep that isn't a clone. If she not in this game her (and Captain Toad) will be in the next game!

I loved Impa in Skyward Sword and would love to see her in smash based on SS or Hyrule Warriors. If she isn't in this one, then she should be in the next.
But on topic, I am pretty certain that Ganondorf will return, but I hope he is being changed, out of all the characters in the game, I think he needs a overhaul the most.

To me it always felt like his jab was supposed to be the 3rd one and they just forgot to put the 1st and 2nd jabs into the game.

So yes jab cancel options would be awesome but at LEAST give the biggest dude with the biggest **** arms a good grab range. I always thought his grab should be pretty much what his current jab looks like.

Moveset:
A-Standard: Power Combo (A palm to the face followed by a body shot and finishing with a kick) 8%
Dashing A: Surprise (Sword materializes and Ganondorf stabs his opponent, similar to Link's old dash attack in N64) 13%
Right/Left A: Un-sacred Swipe (The dorf swipes to the side and creates a magical aura that lasts for 1 second that gives opponent extra damage) 12%
Up A: Elbow Room (The dorf attacks upwards with his elbow, kinda like Mario's but with his elbow) 14%
Down A: Double Kick (Ganondorf slides into opponent and delivers two kicks to their shins, second kick is a meteor smash for edge guarding) 12%
N-air: Dark Defense (3 dark energy balls surround the dorf and circle around him) 16%
F-air: Minty Breath (Ganondorf summons his trident and swipes downward) 17%
B-air: Dropkick (The dorf kicks with both legs sending his opponents flying) 20%
D-air: Spark Stomp (Same as in previous games) 23%
Side Smash: Bull Headbutt (He headbutts you..with some dark magic) 30%
Up smash: Double Slash (Two katanas materialize and the Dorf swipes with both swords at the same time all the way to the ground) 25%
Down Smash: Ghostly Appearance (The first part of Dorf's kick is the same, but instead of hitting his opponent for a second time, Phantom Ganondorf pops out of his back and double axe handles him to the ground, meteor smash if Phantom hits) 27%
Specials:
B neutral: Deadman's Volley (A chargeable ball of energy that can be held for later use, fully charged causes multiple balls of energy to surround opponent and hit at the same time, just like his two magic moves in Zelda OOT, when fully charged it is able to stun the opponent for a little bit) Fully charged 22%
Side B: Gerudo Dragon (Same as in previous games) 12%
Down B: Shattering Blow (Ganondorf jumps in the air and slams his fist down, creating shockwaves, similar in OOT when he causes the tiles to fall) 18%
Up B: Absence of Light (The dorf spins in the air creating a purple aura around him that can catch or block opponents off) Standard Hit: 7% In the Aura: 14%
Final Smash: Ganon (Ganondorf turns into the Ganon from Zelda OOT with double swords and just unleashes havoc)

I think its kind of weird to be discussing Impa when we should be discussing Ganondorf, just make Impa a costume for Sheik, that 5th spot goes to Ganon.

I like to think we have yet to see the real Ganondorf in Super Smash Bros, the ones in Melee and Brawl, they were just his phantoms, kind of like how he made Agahnim and Phantom Ganon.

So, OoT/Melee style Ganondorf or TP/Brawl style Ganondorf? I personally prefer OoT. That design looks stronger, has more fine aspects, and is more colorful. I'd love to see it in HD.

I LOVE Ganondorf's OoT design. He looks so much meaner than TP Ganondorf, and I really want an outfit without his cape. It makes all of his deceptively quick kicks and such seem more plausible.

My opinion but I have to side with TP Ganondorf here. To me he looked incredibly goofy in the beginning of OoT, especially to his Melee transition. WW Ganondorf also comes nowhere close to his TP counterpart, the robe, the generic dual swords, the fact he looked kind of obese, just kind of wrecked that final moment in the game for me to an extent. His TP design is menacing, dark, gritty, everything the holder of the Triforce of Power should be. Again just my opinion.

I've said this before, but I'd prefer sort of a mix between the three. Something like OoT, with his WW hair and beard, and cape and lower limb armor from TP, with the all-important nose being a middleground between them.

BUT since that's never going to happen, I'd go with OoT 3D's updated look.

I think Zelda holds the answer to what Ganondorf we're getting, she basically has a redesigned TP look.

I don't know if that's what the question was asking, but yeah that's how it is. You can see it with Link as well. We're getting TP Ganondorf. In fact, it's possible that Link and Zelda are retaining those designs entirely because Ganondorf hasn't had a new appearance yet.

Maybe, never thought of that, at least Zelda gets to be brunette again.

The internet, obviously.
Hi, all. I was playing around with the thought of Ganondorf getting custom moves like Mii and Palutena earlier today, and figured I'd share what I came up with just because. I'm thinking he could keep his Brawl base, and have customizable specials based on canon, but he could also easily have new normals as well with these.
N Special 1 - Warlock Punch
N Special 2 - Dead Man's Volley (Can be hit back if timed right.)
N Special 3 - Triforce Bomb (Like a dark version of Palutena's Heavenly Light, with a Triforce Emblem on the ground below him while active.)

S Special 1 - Gerudo Dragon
S Special 2 - Flame Choke
S Special 3 - Trident Thrust (Because he uses them as much or more than swords, especially in older games.)

D Special 1 - Wizard's Foot
D Special 2 - Flaming Bats (From ALttP. They fly in a circle, then fly in various patterns till they're offscreen while hitting anything they touch.)
D Special 3 - Phantom (Like Zelda's, but with Phantom Ganon.)

U Special 1 - Dark Dive
U Special 2 - Magic Dive (From OoT. Rises high into the air, then suddenly slams into the ground below while punching at about the speed of TL's down aerial. Meteors airborne enemies and buries grounded enemies. Sends out a shockwave on impact.)
U Special 3 - Hover (Stolen from vBrawl Pit.)

Awesome idea! Flaming Bats seems a little overpowered, but the rest sounds great. I think his phantom ganon move should send out a dark vortex (like the one he comes from during the start of a match) while charging, but sends phantom ganon in the opposite direction when activated

Hmm, that is true, there will be more movesets to customize for everybody, meaning more than just a default moveset, watch Sakurai troll us into making us think he didn't change Ganondorf one bit in the moves.

I think Ganondorf will be revealed via daily pic much like a few other veterans have been, in fact that's how Zelda and ToonLink were revealed, so I don't think Ganon's reveal will be ay different.

It kind of sucks of all Zelda characters in this game, Sheik got revealed in a Direct.

I don't see any reason why he wouldn't be shown at all, that's stupid, they wasted reveals showing stupid Link, stupid ToonLink and stupid Sheik and Ganon is better than all these Butt-Heads.

Actually if I recall he was announced for Brawl the at the same time as Sheik and this was before December 3rd 2007, the original release date, I'm pretty sure that was September 2007 if I remember correctly, I read something that said Ganondorf and Sheik confirmed.

So yeah seeing that Japan gets this game in September and Hyrule Warriors are released late September, I think revealing Ganondorf in September is a bad idea, I was hoping we'd see him this month because Zelda U and Hyrule Warriors being a part of E3, that would of created hype for the games.

Maybe not when Hyrule Warriors is released, but perhaps when Ganondorf is actually shown in Hyrule Warriors, maybe he'll be revealed then?

Considering that TP was the first “dark” Zelda game that some fans had wanted, I thought G-Dorf's outfit perfectly fit him in the game's ominous and evil sense. I mean, come on, OoT Ganondorf in TP would've been to bright and in my opinion cartoony and just silly. OoT with the two timelines made Ganondorf work with his costume, but Brawl was all about the realistic look and Ganondorf's recent TP appearance. In WW, he looks too much like a sorcerer to me (with his robe) and he'd basically be Toon Ganondorf if too much of that outfit was retained in a new model. I mean, I guess they could make it realistic but I feel Ganon just needs that supreme malevolence that is the essence of his character. I'd like to see his cape stay intact though, as I believe it keeps his magical power sense. They should merge his armor from TP with his design from OoT to appeal, but he may just end up similar to the already-shown Zelda.

If they like ANYTIME SOON SAKURAI reveal Ganondorf I'd expect it to be after our infamous Falcon Punch is revealed. I mean people on Miiverse will probably go bat-sh*t crazy that Ganondorf replaced C.Falcon. But really....I've been Ganondorf to be revealed......I.....Need......My......Favorite........Villian.......

I honestly think the ginger receding Vegeta widow's peak is much more goofy looking than the curls. Some of the most badass people of all time have had curls. Johann Sebastian Bach, to name one. Seems unrelated till you consider that they're both organists.

Ganondorf seems to be mostly TP-inspired in Hyrule Warriors. This has pretty much sealed the deal for me. Not that I was expecting anything else after Zelda though.
