Information Update needed for ALL registered Ganons!
Please make a post telling me what COLOUR Ganon you main. I'm going to color code all the posts. I've updated the colors that I already knew, but there's still a lot more to go. Please update. THANK YOU. <3 DAD

WARNING: The contents of this thread may be unsuitable for children, the elderly, or the otherwise faint of heart. Due to the nature of this topic and the match-ups contained herein, people who are queezy at the sight of epic **** and win are advised to divert their attention elsewhere. ALL DITTOS, ALL THE TIME.

Looking through the all Ganondorf wifi tournament thread that went up recently - after getting over the crushing depression of not taking place in such an epic event - I decided to take action on a project that I, and I'm sure many of you, have thought about under taking for a long time.

Watching those videos made it painfully clear that we need to organize our ranks. Selfishly, I wanted to brawl each and every one of you, but unfortunately have only had the pleasure of stomping with a few of you. So here's how it's gonna go down:

Step One: I want to organize all the information about the various Ganon players on SWF from all corners of the globe so that we might more often, more ritualistically undertake the sacraments of Ganon dittos, considered by many to be the finest ditto Brawl has to offer. If you're a Ganon main - or play him often but pu$$ out when it comes to declaring him your main (here's looking at you, A2Z0MG) - post your information below. I'll format it into this OP so we have a database of all Ganons. Include the following:

SWF Handle: hyperstation
Brawl Name: DAD
Brawl Friend Code: 4081-8183-2914
Location: North East US, Brooklyn, NY
LAN Adapter: Yes
Color: Normal, Dark, White, Green, Blue, Red

For those of you who don't know if you have a LAN adapter...you probably don't. Follow this link: http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wc...goryId=62707&ddkey=http:SetCurrencyPreference The LAN adapter eliminates WiFi interference from phones and other wireless devices. It's still subject to line noise and other interferences that land lines see, but land line interference won't be due to the adapter but rather is a more holistic problem with your building's wiring. Generally speaking, two players in the same region with LAN adapters is the best and most reliable way to play online.

Step Two: Once we've got all the information cataloged, this thread can take on a second purpose: match-ups. Honestly, we probably don't have a large enough, active enough member base for one to post when he's looking for a match-up and find a ditto match-up quickly thereafter. Ideally, however, this would be possible. Realistically, this might function more as a thread for posting "Hey, I want a ditto. Tonight?" This might be redundant in the sense that upon getting the information from this thread of someone with whom to ditto, you could start PMing each other. However, there's a certain voyeuristic satisfaction that comes from knowing that Zeonstar and Finns7 are facing off on Sunday afternoon and that videos will follow soon thereafter. More importantly, keeping a dialog between Ganons and their ditto matches public might help to nurture this epic match-up into the future. If this second step is a total bust, at least we'll have the information organized and can work from there individually.

So start posting your information, and let's see start seeing some nasty boot-to-mouth resuscitation. My Ganon waits with baited breath.

DA' LIST

My internet connection is pretty good, I can play against East Coast fairly well.. I won't be able to play online for another couple days, though.

I'm just a lurker, but I do go to tournies with ganon, and sometimes enjoy playing online. Here's my info:

SWF Handle: MoblinMan
Brawl Name: Moblin
Brawl Friend Code: 4854-6120-9610
Location: Denver, Colorado. Midwest USA
LAN Adapter: no

My connection is at least adequate, since I think I get yellow dots from players in FL with a similar internet speed.

At best, we'll get matches set up through this thread. At worst, we'll have an organized database of Ganons so people can set up dittos on their own accord. As someone who loves to Ganon ditto, it's a win either way as far as I'm concerned. Also, I think this is just something good for a community of character mains to do.

Formatting the new posts. Question: what type of organization would be best for listing the ganons? Region? Alphabetical? I'm thinking by region as this is generally the determining factor in getting lagless matches online.

Swoops, it sounds like you're unsure if you have the LAN adapter or not. It's a piece of hardware you can connect to one of the Wii's USB ports to run a land line to your wii. Potentially faster online speed and no more interrupted wifi signals.

Does the LAN Adapter go from your CPU to your Wii or your Router to your Wii?

DAD would have been my SWF handle too, but it was taken. hyperstation is just a generic name I use online (reference to a Sonic Youth song). I play as DAD, and my roommate plays as MOM. He's a nasty samus. We're team PARENTS, and we're coming soon to a theatre near you with the Meet The Parents combo video. It's gonna be disgusting. We've also got my boy CUZ repping a brutal, glide tossing, dribbling, face humping Diddy. DAD, MOM, and CUZ are gonna drop an All In The Family combo vid thereafter.

The critical reception of our names has been phenomenal. People love that we play low tier chars (with the exception of CUZ) at competitive levels. We had mad cheerleaders last night at a weekly because of our names and our bottom of the barrel chars. The names are also really easy to remember, and the notion of a dad whooping your *** or a mom smacking you around is a really terrifying prospect, so behind the humor is a dark, domestic violence.

Preemptive answers: no, I'm not a dad that I know of. I'm 22. MOM is not a mom, nor is he a woman. CUZ is my actual cousin though.

No problem. We need to Brawl soon as you're a fellow east coast player. Lagless dittos? I like it. Where are you from in Philly? I'm from PA also, but I moved to NY 4 years ago. My family lived in Havertown for a long time then moved to near Harrisburg.

Swoops, let's try it. I'll add you and make a room in a few minutes. If it's really laggy, we'll just stop. If it's bearable, at least we'll get to **** eachother for a while, right?

****...good games dad, I got like 7 replays so I'll have to sift through them to pick out some. I'm just doing it where I pick out a couple, then you pick out a couple if you got replays, and that'll make the set of videos.

Lag wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Shame on me for constantly eating stomp>f-smash.

PS: And to hell with you for stealing my color -_-

Yo Swoops, those were some awesome matches. We went about 50-50, I'd say. I didn't keep tally, but in general, it was I'd win a few, Swoops would win a few, and the momentum kept shifting back and forth as we figured out eachother's ganons. I got a few nice replays saved too, as I'm sure Swoops does. One of them involved 2 ganons fairing to each other's brains in the direct center of FD causing a double KO on opposite sides of the stage. Truly epic, and I've got the replay.

Swoops was using that ****ed bouncing combo on me and let me tell you...that thing is gross. I went from 0 to 60 pretty quickly a few times.

I just thought of something. A third use for this thread might be analysis. That is, Swoops, can you tell me things about my ganon that I was doing well and things I was doing poorly? I'll do the same for you, of course. I think this is going to be a good way to help eachother build eachother's ganons. In fact, I'll start it off.

First thing that comes to mind is: when you're smacked really hard in the air towards the edge or top of a stage, don't air dodge...use aerials. You should use whatever your fastest aerial is, in ganon's case, I believe it's UAir, but if anyone else knows something better, let me know. This helps you stay alive longer. I can think of several times I got KOs against you that you could have survived if you aerialed instead of air dodge or whatever else you might have done. My survival game has changed radically since I started Uairing instead of airdodging, thus staying alive longer. This opens up the game for higher percentage GANONCIDES! I can't stress this point enough for ganon players.

Second, watch the edgehogging dude on the ledge more closely when you're recovering. I handful of my kills happened on gimped recoveries where I simply hopped off the ledge and back on quickly to restore invincibility frames. On a bunch of these occasions, you could have waited just a little bit longer before doing your up B and caught me at the end of my invincibility frames with the punch and grabbed the ledge.

I need to get going as I'm meeting up with a friend I haven't seen in a long time, but if anything else comes to mind, I'll edit and add it (if you'd like, of course). Other than the things listed above...you're a nasty M F*cker, and it was truly a pleasure smashing with you. Let's do it again considering the lag wasn't that bad (I'm still willing to john a few of my deaths due to lag though. I'll john for both of us, because I saw it happen to you a few times on recoveries too.)

EDIT: MYYYYYYYYYY color, homie. My color. Back off.

My color. Back off.
Yea it was pretty even, maybe you slightly a bit more than me. Lol, I've got that replay too, it was my f-smash into your f-air, causing a 'splosion from the middle of FD and blasting us onto either side. So far I have a couple replays picked out that are pretty good for both of us and not a whole match of missed recoveries. One was on Battlefield, and the other was that FD one. I was thinking two even matches from each of us, then pick out a **** match >_>. I'm sorry but that Brinstar match was too cool.

Analysis is definitely a good use for this thread.

Lol I've actually been trying to get out of that exact habit. I think f-air should help out a lot too. It's usually f-airs that help recovery so, maybe it will more than u-air? But yea, I can't seem to get my finger off the trigger whenever I get hit. Damn Brawl and its air dodge IASA frames that seem so good at first.

I think edgehogging against Ganon is a problem in general for him. There's usually not a lot I can do about it. Plus, waiting a second=waiting a second and a half online, which could mean death. But yea I need to work on getting around it, sometimes I buffer in UpB for stupid reasons.

Overall you did pretty damn well. Really I can't think of much advice. I will say, watch the wizkicks. I tend to get unnecessarily aggressive sometimes as Ganon, which is probably why you landed so many, but go against someone who knows Ganon and is playing defensively, you will get fucked a lot if you're using wizkick a lot. It's fast but damn does it suck on shield.

I'd also watch f-airing into the ground to much. If you're going to f-air as you're coming down, make sure you are spacing that thing perfectly and that it's going to either crushing their skull or hitting their shield with the sweetspot. Otherwise you're going to get punished by a lot of stuff. Plus, f-air can sometimes be gotten under pretty easily, I had a lot of times where you double jumped out of my land chase set ups and just ate an u-air. You have to know when you need to air dodge.

I'll look through the replays more and see if I can find anything else, but great shit dad. Amazing Ganon and one of the better ones I've seen.
I think the no johns rule went out the window when online came with its horrible lag. We definitely had our share of messed up recoveries.

Thanks for the advice and accolades, swoops. I will agree I overuse wizkick in general. It had it's uses in our matches because, as you said, you were overly aggressive sometimes and the wizkick worked to punish some of that.

It's true that I fair too much too. Up until a few weeks ago, I wasn't a big proponent of fairing, but now I've worked it into my game more, so I've been putting some emphasis on it in my matches, overusing it, in order to figure out HOW to use it best.

I'll work on some replay sifting too. I didn't save a ton of them...only the ones I thought were worth while. As for that brinstar match...jeez...that was gross. I never play Brinstar due to personal preference, but that was just disgusting. I think the peanut gallery will enjoy watching that one. We definitely made some great replays though; nice doing business with you, Mr. Swoops.

Dutchman: I'll take a raincheck on that match offer. I'm on my way out the door.

Hum, i definitly want to play some matchs with you, FD ;) I didn't noticed you were from Europe too. :)

Yeah, we should get some matches in. I wouldn't mind fighting against your Falco, either. Although, I won't be able to play until next week after all. x_X Sorry. I still also need to fight ZeonStar somewhere next week...

I live 3 houses outside the border of Philadelphia, used to live in Frankfurt. Now am just East of Philadelphia. Not going to be able to lag less ditto tonight, Flyers game leads into Phillies game. So hopefully we will be able to play soon.

Swoops and Hyper just so you know, D-Air + holding down on the control stick would be the best thing to recover with when your blasted upwards while U-Air + holding the control stick toward the stage would be the best when blasted horizontally.

By the way hyper (I'm still deciding whether or not to call you dad because it's creepy, seriously I feel like I'm a 17 year old son of a divorcee with a new husband) I would consider putting "Ganondorf Finder" or something of that nature in with the title. The title as it stands doesn't really represent it as a finder or analysis thread.

Youtube has HQ vids.. And no fake "Hey let's have sex with this nonexistant girl" ads.

Also 1:16 in the first vid was an explosion of manliness.

What, you don't like those ads?

No, I like youtube better, it's just every time I try to upload lately, it just runs a black screen the entire time of the video. No sound, no video, just black. It's really annoying, so I have to go to megavideo.

Huh, that's odd. Oh well, I guess Megaupload works.

You could also try other sites that have a high quality function... I think Dailymotion has one.

Swoops, I'll look through the replays soon. When I find a couple I like, could I send them to you to upload them?
