I don't know how I understood what he said, but I agree.

Yeah Dyno is really inconsistent but if he's able to place top 5 in decent-sized tournies, then he'll eventually be able to make that more consistent once he figures out what's holding him back on inconsistent days. imo, he currently holds more potential than the other GA smashers who always place the same.

Myself, my older brother (who would probably be #1, given the past tournament results), Billy (who moves back to Auburn in the fall), George, and Will (if he starts going to tournaments again) would probably make it on a merged list, even without the extra five people.

It would give the bottom half of both PRs some extra competition among themselves, as well as give the top players something more to fight over. Plus, five extra slots would make it so people don't feel unfairly ousted from their spots.

Yeah, what he said. I mean since Waba had to shut down, it's not like we missed many tournaments since the last update. I think this could and should go down next update.

Before expanding the list, there should be more tourneys where AL and GA are both at them together. We might have enough reason to expand it to 15 if there's really good players (of course not top 5 material) that are PR worthy, but just outside the top 10. However, I guess that's why honorable mentions are there lol.

Honestly, I would rather have GA have a GA pr and leave AL out of it. they do have people who want to play and we have people who want to play. IMO a combined PR should only be for states that barely have any brawl players at all like NC and SC. Without Alabama, we have around 30 people that want to and do play smash competitively.

I think it's a nice idea though, it leaves the top 10 out of our whole group there, considering we all are family i don't see why not.

I agree with the merge for happening eventually, but just not this season

elev8 would probably number 1 just considering the results themselves, but what happens most of the time is elev8 beats kismet but loses to reflex, reflex beats elev8 but loses to kismet and kismet beats reflex but loses to elev8. Triangle.

we don't have to merge asap if you guys don't want to. I think the AL rankings should be scrapped at this point. We just don't have any tournaments (besides the Auburn tournaments) I'm just trying to find a scene that still plays

Eventually Id be down for an AL/GA merged PR but it would just be so **** hard to get on but that doesn't even really matter considering I wouldn't even be on just a GA top 10 LOL

a merged PR usually means a smaller community, not necessarily a less-skilled community.

I can see why a lot of you guys don't want a merged PR.

Being ranked among Elev8/Reflex, Calvin/Lounis, Player-1/Billy, etc, is a big deal and a lot harder than it needs to be. I'm usually on the side of "lol just get better noob", but this is just way too hard lol...
But that's why I suggested to make the main PR a merged ranking, and then have a PR for each respective state in a subcategory.

I know that GA Melee PR used a tier ranking back in the day, so that a lot of people (if not everyone) was given a rank and divided up into tiers. Might be something to look into...
