Rofl I can't say he played very well there in appearance, but Diem said he wasn't sandbagging.
But regardless, he did significantly better in the 4th match on Smashville.
I was just referring to Diems credentials, not how well he did.

what does raw mean?
I like blackened death more than just regular black
i think most black is too slow and most of the albums are recorded in bad quality

Oh lol I could've sworn those bands were raw BM.
Basically raw BM is what you've described, the albums with **** quality. They usually do that on purpose to give off a "raw, cold" atmosphere.
Death is my favorite genre in metal though.

yeah im not into the atmosphere thing i like to hear good quality recordings
Death, Black, Folk then Grind in order. I dont like power and i dont like melodic.
My favorite band of all time though is between Nile Cryptopsy and Opeth even though they are all pretty mainstream by now. I cant choose between them though

I prefer good quality stuff too, but I like some raw BM. I'm not much of a fan of power metal either but I like some melodic death metal.
For Arcturus I'd recommend anything other than their last album, which was alright, but it's not on par with their other material. I think you should start with The Sham Mirrors.
