I can very very VERY vaguely remember having Pokemon Blue. I don't even know if I really DID have it. I can remember holding the box for Pokemon Blue in my hands. If I really remember, though, having Pokemon Silver. That was my prive GB game. I would play it for hours on end. I lost it though. I can't even remember when I lost it. I had gotten myself a new GBA and after scavengering in my room for it I deduced I lost it, which was met with regret...

Red was my first Pokemon game. Red > Blue, imho.

At one point I owned Red, Yellow, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Emerald, and Diamond at the same time. Then they started disappearing / getting sold...

I got Pokemon Blue as my first ever Pokemon game. That was followed by (in order):

Red, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, FireRed, Diamond.

Mine was pokemon ruby.
I beat the elite four, then my little brother flushed it down the toilet(his excuse being he likes the color blue (i have no idea)so he flushed it)
Then, to replace ruby, I got pokemon silver, and loved it, untill the "great saving error" hit it >.<
Silver>every other game

Red. Three of them.

First two my dad bought used to save some extra money. In the end he had to buy a third, NEW one, in order to get one which still had a living battery. >.>

My first was Yellow. I eventually lost it (and my Game Boy Color). I missed the second gen, but did manage to get Firered (which I also lost) and Ruby, then all three of DPPt.

I remember stealing Red from this kid at my church. I never got the G/S/C games until the same day I got Sapphire, which is why I think I dislike 2nd Gen so much. I'm replaying Silver though, just to get the feel.

Did you mean Gold? Because RBY don't have batteries.

My first was Yellow. I played a friends blue version and fell in love with the games. I saved until I could buy my own GB pocket and yellow version. I've considered playing it again but I kind want to save the data for nostalgias sake. It has a bunch of stadium pokes and a nearly complete dex.

I've since bought Silver(stolen/lost), Gold,Crystal, Sapphire (sold to GS),Emerald, Fire Red (sold to GS), Diamond and Platinum. 3rd gen was depressing so I sold most of those. I love 4th gen but Plat felt like a waste of money.

I started this series off with Blue. I remember getting $50 for my birthday, and wanting more than anything else to trek up to Toys R Us and buy myself a Game Boy Pocket and Pokemon Blue. I bought the Pocket and my mom paid for Blue. When looking back, I think that was one of those life changing moments for me. Not gonna lie.

And in all honesty, I could probably still explain my first run-through of Blue with excellent detail. I never forgot it for some reason, even though 11 or 12 years have gone by since then.

My first game was Blue, but what got me into Pokemon was watching my brother play Silver. I immediately fell in love with the concept of Pokemon, and constantly begged my parents to get me a Pokemon game as well. I eventually got Blue when the local Zellers store was selling them for $10 each. Though I loved Blue a lot, for some reason, I found that I liked Sapphire better. I just felt, more attached to it than Blue. I have no idea why, but I guess I like most of the Pokemon from the third generation. I got Diamond in the summer of 07, but I didn't actually finish it until we rented Pokemon Battle Revolution half a year later. It just didn't have the same charm as Sapphire and Blue.

No, red.

And it does have internal batties. all cartrage games do. Its just that cartage game batteries SUCKED back then.

Also, I still have that "Third" Red. Its internal battery died, it no longer saves.

My only living 1st or 2nd Gen game is Yellow. And I'm not sure how long it has left.

Yellow is my first, I didn't get into Pokemon until after I saw a few episodes from the anime and thought maybe I should give it a try. Glad I did, I still love Pokemon.

Actually internal batteries from back then lasted almost 10 years for my Blue version, slightly less for my Silver.

I got Red, then Blue/Yellow soon after. Yellow still works; has a glitch where the quested Bul;basaur always criticals with Vine Whip.
Just wondering, do DS Cards have internal batteries, or will they ever die? <.< My plat. file hit 700 hours and I was starting to get concerned

The first game I purchased was Pokemon Gold, however, I had known about Pokemon since when Red and Blue were released but didn't get them due to the fact I didn't have a Game Boy. (I didn't see a reason to get a handheld back then since I had two consoles)

I feel extremely sorry for you, that a 3rd Gen. game had to be your first.

-Terywj
fell sorry for ME!
not only was gen 3 my first, but as soon as I beat the elite four, my little brother flushed it down the toilet >.<
But that IS what got me pokemon silver, the best game EVER!
And I did not mind gen 3, its not like they had a bunch of evolved crap ruining the previous gens.
The few prevos they had were awesome
Wynaut FTW

Red was my first.

I can't remember if I got Blue or Yellow next. I think it was Blue, though...

So my timeline is as follows:

Red > Blue > Yellow > Gold > Ruby > Sapphire > LeafGreen > Emerald > Diamond/Pearl > Crystal > Platinum > Green > HeartGold/SoulSilver

Not including spin-offs, of course. But I have so many that trying to compile a timeline including those would be hell.

So I guess that I'll post my order as well, seeing as everyone else is doing it. Not as harmful as heroine, amirite?

Blue > Red > Yellow > Silver/Gold > Sapphire > Diamond > Platinum > HeartGold

There's also a Leaf Green that should be in there, but I didn't exactly...buy it. I just kind of borrowed it not long before I graduated and never saw the person again. So I never gave it back. :\

The only ones I still own are Diamond, Platinum, and HeartGold. I sold all of them up to Sapphire due to a phase I was going through where I thought it was uncool to play Pokemon, and actually cared whether or not people thought I was cool. Sapphire got lost in the back seat of my Grandma's car, and then my cousin found it, took it back to Ohio, and lost it. Despite all this, I still have the Pokemon TCG game somehow, which I can't actually play because I sold my Game Boy Pocket when I sold my Pokemon games. ;-;

oh hai i c wer makin listz hear

Red > Blue > Gold > Crystal > Ruby > FireRed

Not a very long list. After Blue, I started to see very little point in buying the other version of the gen (if I wanted the version exclusives, I could always trade), which eventually spread to me not buying the 3rd version of the gen (Emerald) as well. And with no DS, I couldn't continue to next gen for a long while until I decided to resort to emus.

I can still remember getting Red on Christmas, and not knowing how to save. All the time spent training my Bulbasaur and then shutting off my Gameboy Colour thinking it auto-saved...

I only own Crystal, Ruby, and FireRed, since I sold the first 3 games because I'm a *******.

I also owned the Pokemon TCG game at one point (I think I lost it when we moved, though it might be buried in a box somewhere lol), and still own Pokemon Channel (rofl) and Pokemon Colosseum.

I was such a nerd <_< ... R/B/Y > Stadium > G/S > R/S > D/PLT/SS, the cool thing is... my gf has pearl/plt/hg so we have them all xD.

Oh btw, off topic again, but if ds cards have no internal battery, is there save files infinite? <.<....like it'd never get so big it'd erase?
