I mean really? suicune as a mascott?
Regardless of mascot, Crystal is exactly the same as Gold and Silver (except for exclusives) but with extra features like the Battle Tower, the Suicune plot (in addition to having Ho-Oh and Lugia available), etc. So unless you're a really big fan of one of the Pokémon not in Crystal, there's really no reason to hate it...the mascot is pretty irrelevant.

So guys. I talked to my parents about when I could go get HeartGold, and they go "We'll think about it."

Turns out my friend's mom couldn't get it for me because she didn't approve of that, so my college friend is getting it for me.

3:30 PM tm, I shall be playing HEART GOLD YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
It seems like both of these were posted in the wrong thread...wouldn't they be better suited to the HG/SS thread or the Snorlax Room?

Oh btw, off topic again, but if ds cards have no internal battery, is there save files infinite? <.<....like it'd never get so big it'd erase?
DS cartridges run on flash memory, which cannot run out. So unless you break the cartridges in some way, it won't die.

Is it weird that i am (seemingly) the only one to start in gen 3 ( sorry, got my first gba at age 8 and am 12 so....)
And I STILL Like the first two gens better
Probably not, they are that good but still.....
It's good that you like the first two gens better because they WERE better. Also, you being twelve is news to me. No need to apologize for being born later than the majority of the community, either.

Also, congrats on becoming a Pokemon Researcher, whenever that happened.

I started with Yellow, and then got Blue. And of course that led to having Red as well. I was a Pokemon fiend back in the day. Before I knew about dem EV and hackin junks I had all legit (weak) Lv100s. Then I got a brainboy sometime down the road and was literally the ****.

No, red.

And it does have internal batties. all cartrage games do. Its just that cartage game batteries SUCKED back then.

Also, I still have that "Third" Red. Its internal battery died, it no longer saves.

My only living 1st or 2nd Gen game is Yellow. And I'm not sure how long it has left.
Really? Huh, I never knew that. That makes me a little sad that one day those games will stop working. :C

Pokemon Red was my favorite game. The first time I ever played it was on a car drive to Cedar Point in 2002. (Yeah, I was that late getting into the series). I was playing my friends game and he decided to give it to me as a birthday present because he never played the game again 4 years after its prime. I played Pokemon Red a lot in the summer of 2002. It made me mad when Fire Red and Leaf Green came out in 2004 and that all the pokemon you trained in the past went to waste because you couldn't carry them over. That's when I lost interest in the series. Why would I buy the same game twice and retrain the same pokemon I already trained before?

I got both the red and blue versions at the same time as Christmas presents. I played Blue first and caught all 150 Pokemon. Nowadays the vast number of Pokemon is so ridiculous I don't even attempt to try and catch em all lol.

I really wish I did start in the G/S era, as that I did know about pokemon because of the anime (which I loved to watch every saturday with my sister ;.;) I blame myself for not bothering to find out that the games existed >.<
