Completed arcade mode on normal with Ms. Fortune, not bad at all.

Final boss killed me once, then again after I killed it, still got the credits though. :/

Might do some other single player stuff, but maybe some netplay later tonight if anyone wants to play?


I'll try and unlock her extra colors. Ms. Fortune apparently got a Morrigan color, wouldn't it fit someone else better?

And did Cerebella lose her Potemkin color? That's sad. :(

Probably go with solo Valentine.

GGs Werekill. You were really starting to give me trouble in the end there, I couldn't lame it out headless as well as I did in the beginning.


I guess you can't have a room for more than two people, that's unfortunate.

How do you unlock extra colours, Rutger?

I unlocked I believe the eighth color by playing through arcade mode, I don't know about others.

It's pretty lame that you have to go to the Skullgirls website for the command list. And of course the website is down, probably from so much activity.

Valentine and Peacock are the two characters I really want to use. Don't know who I'll use third or if I'll choose one. It might be Filia or Ms. Fortune.

I need to work on hitconfirming.

I have a simple air combo into 236PP with solo Ms. Fortune for about 4.5k, but I bad at starting it. :/
I can add in the three HP rekkas for about 1k more damage, but I need to work on the timing.

I don't know what else I could get though, I could probably do better with a team but I really like playing solo.

I wonder how complex her combos might become when headless.


I unlocked the 7th color by completing story mode with Ms. F btw.

@Rutger: Ha, yeah, I was starting to get the hang of it a bit. Hopefully I'll be able to give a decent challenge soon. :3

@Lythium: Me too! Lol, I'm just using big hits and throws without worrying too much about combos yet.

I'm actually liking Cerebella too. Wish she was just a tiny bit faster, but she's fun for a grappler. Plus a running grab with armor?!

Wait...the game has no in-game command list? There's plenty of potentially decent things in the game, but when every fighter does that these days and the game has no booklet to have movelists in, you'd think including that would be a given.

Downloaded the game today, but haven't had time to get around to it. I'll probably be on on Friday. Looking forward to trying out Valentine and maybe Painwheel, but if not, solo Valentine.

Played for a bit and I thought not having a move list wouldn't bother me, it really does! Moves are on the website though, but still! Just messing with Double and Peacock! Haven't made up my mind on this game so I'm gonna need to play some more!

Playing it. Loving it. Really bummed that I have no sound, though.

I think I'm going to stick with Painwheel. She's a lot of fun and I like her potential for resets.

They're a small team and they didn't have time to work in the menu before release(they wanted to focus on more important things) and they said that they will patch it in, so it's only temporary.

Can't beat Arcade mode on Ridiculous without timing out Marie, lol. That third phase is beyond crazy... Maybe I should hop on the Peacock bandwagon and camp her ***.

Side note: Anybody here play Street Fighter 3rd Strike on PSN? Need more people to play.

But GGs Minato. You've got a better grasp of this game than I do. That much is certain, lol. I need to learn footsies instead of just jumping in over and over.

I had plenty of fun guys! Haven't played this game in a while, but I almost never feel like I "lose" my touch with any game! I do get rusty, but almost everything just comes back when I'm playing! Also, a very bad habit I have with Yun is using the shoulder to activate Genei-Jin! I have played really good players that parry the shoulder and things are not pretty for me!

Edit - Definitely down to play another time!

Edit 2 - Matador, do you play Guilty Gear?! I'm gonna go down on that game, so I would like to play with people on here!

Just watch out for Yun Genei Jin resets. You can parry the oncoming the attack while you're still stuck in the air if he did a reset (neutral jump Fierce or whatever).
Also 1 2 3 shoulder is something Yun players will abuse if the opponent doesn't know how to counter it. Just red parry the shoulder. Last is that in 3S, blocking while crouching adds more block stun. So Yun is safe on block with EX Lunge if you're crouching.

Edit: I'm jealous Atlus. I lost my touch in a lot of games. Besides maybe SF2. I'm actually afraid of online for GGXXAC. It's already hard enough offline, and a couple frames of delay is going to feel weird.

You're the first good Yun I've played for an extended period of time. I gotta learn the ins and outs of the character before I can punish things like that, lol.

Guilty Gear is one of the few fighting games I'll always regret never getting into. Virtual Fighter is the other. Sorry Atlus T_T.

Oh man, the online for GG could be a problem especially when FRCing in that game is so strict! However, I've heard good things of the online for BlazBlue, so I'm confident Aksys will pull through!

But yeah, that's kind of why I called it shenanigans earlier. Yun can get away with so much, which is why Atlus really doesn't have to shuffle his strategy until the opponent learns how to deal with stuff like dive kick pressure. As a side note, taking damage while crouching does more damage to discourage mashing down parry.

It's hard to say. I honestly think BB's is so good because of the buffering. You can hold down an input and it'll input the command for a max of five frames so it's like easy mode plinking on every direction and button.

Oh well, it's gonna be fun regardless.

Battle Capacity Minus Combo Video and Preview

(From the description) "Battle Capacity is a free, indie fighter made by Ivan Boivin, known by others as Cartoons! Riddle and I, UltiMario, however, took the game after it became a final product and with (eventual) permission, created a next version of the game titled Battle Capacity Minus, or BatCAP- for short. While this version brings no new characters to the table, it cranks the game up a notch, and in the process, remakes every character and improves upon their old incarnations. While the older versions of Battle Capacity play at a Street Fighter IV like pace, BatCAP- could closer be compared to games like the King of Fighters series."

CRASHiC took the game to Civil War 4 recently, both the vanilla and Minus versions. Their performances were both great, but Minus was the day we were getting lines longer than Skullgirls to play friendlies. We feel that this was a huge accomplishment with the game's quality and fun-ness of playing.

Anyways, here are some changes to characters that can be found on the website. Translated by Dream Maker from the Dustloop.

- 63214 HS : FRC removed

ABA :

- Goku moroha mode : damage up, damage penalty from self hits reduced, longer duration, more powerful overall
- 236 D in moroha or goku moroha : more hits, travel distance increased

Anji Mito :

- 6HS : FRC changed to be just before the move hits.
- FB ON , 623D : New FB move, FRC possible right after the move hits.

I-no :

- FB note, 214D : New FB move, FRC possible right after startup.

Venom :

- 6HS : now possible to gatling into from close S.
- FB stinger aim : balls pushed with this move can now bounce several times on the floor and screen borders.
- FB carcass raid : same as above

Order Sol :

- Charge gauge : When using a move the gauge depletes slower
- Dragon Install Sakkai (632146S) : Tension cost became 50% instead of 100%

Ky Kiske :

- New move 3HS : Same as the old 6HS pre AC.
- New move, S raging Javelin : New S followup after vapor thrust
- 222HS : FRC now possible just after the move hits
- 214D FB greed saber : new FB
- Lightning Sphere 214D followup after charged stun edge : command changed to 4D after CSE.

Kliff Undersn :

- 214K : FRC now possible just before the move hits
- 214P : has new FB D followup.

Zappa :

- 236H (sword mode) : FRC now possible right after landing (that's what the site says, maybe a typo there or they're talking about the aerial move I dunno)
- 236S (Raoh mode) : now possible airbone
- 214S (Raoh mode) : now possible airbone

Eddie :

- 236D : Possible to recover eddie gauge over the normal limit with this move (I hope I understood this right) command changed to 214D.

Justice :

- 22 + button : added P, K and D version possible to roman cancel each of them.
- Detonation of 22 + button : command changed from P to whatever button you used to trigger the move.
- 623 K : command changed from 412K
- 41236 HS : S version added, now possible airbone
- Gamma ray : FRC added, timing is right after the first hit.

Jam :

- Not sure to understand everything here but it seems that her powered up special kick moves followups after certain moves can now be done with D button and without any need of followup.

Johnny :

- 214H : Glitter is gold, New move
- 236236H (airbone) : New overdrive

Slayer :

- 632146P : FRC added right before hit
- 63214H : command changed to 632146H
- 214H : new move, HS Dandy step
- 214D : new move, FB Dandy step

Sol Badguy :

- 41236H : return of the old tensionless fafnir, possible to cancel into.
- Tyrant rave (fafnir followup after H or D fafnir) : command changed to 64D from 46D
- 214K (airbone) during dragon install : new move. I guess it's VV's followup, doesn't need to be done as a followup anymore during dragon install apparently.
- 236D airbone : new FB sidewinder

Chipp Zanuff :

- New FB alpha blade added. Command is D during 236P.
- 623D : new FB beta blade
- 41236D : new FB gamma blade

Dizzy :

- 421D : New FB move, FB version of 421S

Testament :

- Zeinest (web) : command changed to 623P
- Hitomi (tree) : command changed to 623K
- New move (Ruft Warrant ?) : command is 22 P or K
- New FB phantom soul : command is 236D

Baiken :

- Youshijin : new command is 623P not possible as guard cancel anymore but only as a normal special move.
- Return of the "wheel counter" command is 214P while on guard
- 63214K : now possible to do guard cancels during the move

Faust :

- FB door added, D after 214K

Bridget :

- 6K : now possible to cancel into yoyo or any special move
- 214D : is now homing towards the enemy.

Potemkin :

- 236S : FRC added right after the earthquake comes out
- Hammerfall (written as 4 charge 6 S, command changed ?) : FRC timing is later
- 63214D : P followup added, cancels the animation of judge gauntlet

Millia Rage :

- New 2H airbone : return of the pre slash old jump HS
- 236D : FRC added right after the jumping animation
- 214D : New FB secret garden.

May :

- 41236D : New FB version of dolphin summon I guess
- 623S or HS : possible to followup vertical and horizontal dolphin with restive rolling through this command

Robo-Ky :

- 623H : now possible airbone, FRC possible just as the ground version. [/COLLAPSE]

So there is no Gulty Gear thread after the thread purge a while back. I'd be will to make one and go all out explaining game mechanics and things like I did with P4A if you all want.

Though activity in it will no doubt be low until GGXXACPR comes out.
