Wouldn't doubt this at all. I have a hunch that we'll be getting 3DS DLC chars up until the release of Smash Wii U, just to keep hype for that particular version fresh (and include those 3DS DLC chars as final roster fighters for Wii U Smash). I'm kinda hoping Mewtwo wouldn't be used for what would be a rather sleazy marketing tactic, especially if you'd have to pay, but I wouldn't put it past them to use his popularity to an advantage.

If they do this, the DLC would HAVE to be free imho. Simply for the fact that they said "every character in the DS-Version is also on Wii U (or other way around), and if they used DLC to keep the hype, those would have to already be in the WiiU version... hence they'd need to be free DLC. I really doubt they'd do this though, i mean not everyone has access to the internet on his/her 3DS, and there are quite some villages that don't have a McDonalds or whereever they'D host DLC-Events ot free wireless either. They'll propably have some secret characters with insane unlock-requirements , so the only way to unlock everything before maybe a month of WiiU-reveal would be hacking. Also they propably have tons of WiiU-Only stages stocked for revealpurposes, we got way more 3DS-stages than WiiU stages currently. And the WiiU-Version should be able to hold more stages in total anyway.

Thats why i said "as they said characters would be the same on 3DS and WiiU on release". So... Not gonna happen before WiiU is also released. After that, sure. But in between the releases... nah.

Probably Kirby, Megaman, Greninja, Charizard, Link. But i don't really have mains, my best characters in Brawl were G&W and Diddy Kong. But i like playing as everyone OH and i really want to try out Pac-Man, that guys seems so happy with every move he does!

Even if Mewtwo is in the game I'll be playing Robin. A LOT. Propably Palutena and Lucina as i love mages and Marth, but i never used tipper with Marth cause casual. Zelda most likely. Mewtwo will be simply added to that, and depending on how he plays he might get a spot at the top 3. Or , if he plays weirdly to me, top 6 - top 10.

Greninja and Yoshi will be my mains no matter what and my submains will probably be Lucario, Sonic and Charizard, along with Mewtwo if he is included. I like to play with a variety of characters.

First off its not too bad, I would have Charizard to work with, new and improved without that stupid trainer and pathetic Squirtle and Ivysaur hindering him, and that new move he has looks very nice, Greninja would be fresh, hopefully he'd get a Mewtwo pallet swap if Mewtwo wasn't in, and then Lucario, he sucked in Brawl, but he's worth another shot, and hopefully he gets a Mewtwo skin keep in mind Mega Mewtwo X is psychic and fighting, so it would actually make sense for Mewtwo to be fighting like Lucario, maybe the final smash could be a skin of Mega Mewtwo X.

As for Jigglypuff, I'm not play as this thing because its the main thing responsible for keeping Mewtwo out, I see no reason why all characters from Super Smash Bros 64 have to be included anyway, that game

I'm waiting for the full roster to come out before I decide. I like the dark and magic type characters. So that would include Robin and Ganondorf (well, assuming he's in.) Maybe Zelda since she now has the Phantom Slash attack, and she was sort of my second go-to character in Melee. Paluetna maybe, if one of her alts is Pseudo-Palutena. But like I said, I need to see the full roster first.

Okay so first off, thanks for the laughs it helped shape my decent day. It's cool that is getting re-worked I agree & I can't wait to see how he's gonna fight. You lost me at because he's considered better than , & I won't comment about hindering because they were all bad characters in SSBBrawl considered by most that was the worst of the three, but is a poor-mans version of so I'm over it. However saying was hindered by & , it makes me wanna 1v1 your with .
Second will be a great water representative pkmn, but I don't approve of any Pkmn that would get a Mewtwo pallet swap especially if Mewtwo didn't get in. Dis-respect even further beyond to the max but at the same time it sounds hilarious.
Third nah is an above decent character with favorable MatchUps & is a god-like Doubles character. Professional Lucario mains make him look & play like A tier. will definitely be a better character worth giving a shot for & I still disapprove of Mewtwo pallet swaps for a character in case they don't get confirmed but it's interesting due to Mega Mewtwo X's typing resembling more like Lucario so I feel for you there. Again it's even more hilarious for Lucario because of the long debate about the 'replacement' of Mewtwo in Brawl.

I'm not prepared to spend $100's on a Wii U for the sake of one game unless Mewtwo is in it. If he isn't it it, I don't really have much of a drive for Smash 4. I'll stick to PM and maybe play Smash 4 if my boyfriend purchases it, considering he has a Wii U, other than that, I don't really have an interest in it.

If Mewtwo IS in it, I would drop the money in a heartbeat lol. It's the only thing I've been looking forward to for the past two years so I really hope Sakurai doesn't let us down again this time.

Well, the sole reason I bought Melee was because I learned that Mewtwo was in it. At the time I was only interested in Mewtwo and played him religiously by myself for many years (just training) because I literally had nobody to play with at all. It wasn't until about 5 years later that I met my boyfriend and learned he was actually the best at Brawl for a year in our state. We became training partners, and through him I started to attend our local tourney scene. Nowdays I main Marth and have picked up Fox, but I still manage to turn a few heads with my Mewtwo, considering nobody else here plays Mewtwo at all. It makes all the dedication to him worthwhile.

You can always get the standard white one for like 50-90$ on ebay (at least thats what it sold for when i last checked), and add an external harddrive to it. If you have one, that is.
