If I may be allowed to just post a discussion related thing here?

Why has nobody taken Shadow's Assist Trophy model and put it over Sonic's model and made a custom PSA for him?

Before you attempt a rebuttal in the form of "Why don't you do it yourself?" or a similar line of verbalization: I can't, as I do not have the programs, most likely (or undoubtedly) not have the computer to run those programs, nor do I have knowledge of how to use those programs, in addition to the fact I do not have the money needed to obtain them. If I did, I would do so somewhere I would actually have the resources, like a certain type of tech college like DeVry in Arizona, which also costs money.

The assist trophy doesn't have enough bones. However, there have been Sonic mods that make the spines and shoes look like Shadows (with a retexture), as well as several PSA's that approach the character differently. If you check the kc-mm forums, Shadow PSA's will probably cover about half of the first page of the "Attack Hacks" forum.

Not enough bones.

Anyway...http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=266995

I gave Tails his own thread because he was complete enough to not quit, and it became a team-ish project toward the end, so I didn't just absorb him into my PSA thread.

Oh! And if a person was vertex edited/head (or other part) swapped enough to look like Nolan from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

then would it be different enough to be a fully new character (model)? Then I would add in PSA stuff.

Anyway, I'm still pleading for people to make his model, because I have most of the moveset planned and don't want to waste all that.

In your pants.
A'ight. Depending on the game, I might or might not be able to get the model. (I do have a bunch of games, but not every game.)
Mmk, I'll PM the request shortly.

ummm ok... is that supposed to mean that you look at sprites to animate the model? lol thats all i can think of... I still have trouble animating all of those bones though >_>
Yeah, that's pretty much it. It makes things a lot easier.

*Sighs in relief* Okay then.

When I actually have a few character suggestions to tack into this thread.

Peach or Zelda as Lucca from Chrono Trigger:

I can see this one maybe working on Peach, but a custom PSA would be needed to make Peach capable of using Din's Fire, and swapping out the model for the golf club with a Golden Hammer. If the reverse could be done with Zelda, I could see this working very well, we also would need to give here the ability to use bombs, a flamethrower (if we wish) and change the final Smash to Lucca's "Flare" attack from Chrono Trigger.

Lucario as Hong Kong Phooey:

I cannot believe nobody has though to do this with Lucario, I am utterly shocked. Most of Luke's Moveset would have to be changed to mainly melee attacks, with his specials being special fighting moves. Maybe make Phooey a Brawl+ Dan Hibiki that is actually somewhat viable.

Ike as Ryu:

Come on, don't tell me nobody has thought of doing this for fun, even if we can import the model from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, I think it would be more fun to do this with Ike. Just give him some of this moves from TvsC. It could work.

One question about Pit's Laurels, when viewed as a solid in a model view, are they considered one piece (as in, if the texture is replaced with a pure color, are they one solid piece?)

Then this texture hack (or possible PSA) becomes possible if so:

Pit as Mega Man Zero:

We have Zero in Link, who says Mega Man Zero can't join in? Pit's stature is perfect for him, and the ability to remove objects from models makes something like this very possible (You remove his clothes then "clothe" him in MM Zero's armor).

What do you guys think of the above?

Those are fair enough, but if people aren't interested in them, then they won't get made. I wouldn't play as Hong Kong Phooey, Lucca, or that Ryu (although not necessarily any Ryu), but I wouldn't mind having a MMZ version of Zero I suppose. Either way, I think the new Zero is still going to utilize MMZ moves/abilities, so meh.

Hate to break it to you guys but:

Mewtwo isn't in PokéPark, and using the trophies as playable characters is not a good idea, as they have no rigging whatsoever (and therefore are always in the same pose). You're gonna have to wait until the model builder's released before you can have a proper Mewtwo.

Man, even if fortwaffles decided to just post the method as opposed to making a program I would be satisfied.

EDIT: OMG! The bone adder is OUT!!!!!111

Guess I should get to work!

Hey Mr. Weegee and Suren you guys can use Silver and Tails' actual brawl models now because of the new bone adder program that fortwaffles made. Of course if you're too far in you're projects right now and changing the models would slow it down that's fine. I'd say just get it done the way you're doing it now and fix the model later.

No offense, but if you cant handle making one character, how are you planning on doing three? I suggest starting much smaller, maybe a simple stage?

lol sandbag would be epic, this could open the door to many characters with the "no enough bones" problem.

EDIT: And now I'm disappointed again. The game loads, but the model doesn't show up at all.

EDIT 2: Oooooooooooooookay... he shows up when you get a Smash Ball. But ONLY when you have a Smash Ball. After the FS is used, he disappears again.
I have the same problem, is weird how can be, the textures or the model are lost but when you get a smashball they appear.

I don't think Tails' entire model will have that texture problem. Try it and see if it messes up or not.

you know of a program to convert pac's to Mdl0's or do you have brawl's Mdl0 cause I wanted to look into assist trophies, green hill zone models (silver, knuckles, tails), and pokemon that have Mdl0 files

Hehe, and to think, much of this was triggered by my plan to make a crappy SSE troop playable... Just doing my usual checkup to see if we have discovered anything ground breakingly new, because the workshop has become too crowded for my tastes.

Oh, and Shifter, feel free to clean out all my Machinima project ones. I am still working on them, but they just take up space.
