So anyone here exercise?

Weights, running etc?

So just share what you do, if you do anything. And other s might want to do your workout.

So just share what you do, how many reps, and so on and so forth.

I'll post mine when I have time.

I ride everywhere. I don't have a car.

I also play netball once a week. I too thought it was girly as hell until my girlfriend dragged me into a game and now I love it.

That's about it though.

Well I do football and wrestling so I have to run and condition a lot.
Whenever I'm not doing any sports I often go to weight training after school and do the workout that they have set up so I won't get out of shape.

^That is awesome. Breakdancing is really cool, do you street perform?
Raquetball is my summer sport, it is exercise, but I actually play it because it's fun.
I do jog though.

Then I just sit on my rear during the fall until indoor track starts. Then I lift for shot.

We are currently not at liberty to divulge that in
I run cross-country/track. An average week during cross country looks something like this:
Monday: 5/7-mile road run.
Tuesday: 200m intervals, 30-40 reps
Wednsday: 4 mile road run
Thursday: 150m hills, 20 reps/race day
Friday: 3 mile road run
Saturday: Practice race courses/invitational meet
Sunday: Rest

I more or less do that every week; The only days I get off are Sundays, Christmas, and New Years.

All I do is 50 pushups straight before I go to sleep and when I wake up, everyday. Nonstop , too. it works, and its a good motivator for starting the day as well.

ugh man I really got back into the gym...maybe when the school year starts again, which from this post is about a week or two.

Anyway when I did workout I would just benchpress a lot at home, then just run a lot in P.E.

That's what I did mostly but otherwise I would be working some other stuff around my body, you know like shoulders, abs, etc.

I don't exercise. Does running up and downstairs considered exercise?

I live in a two story home, and I occasionally go downstairs just to get food or a drink of water. Other than that, my butt is usually glued to the chair in front of the computer screen...

I don't really have much of a motivation to exercise, really... Losing weight takes a lot of time and really I don't benefit much from it. Even if I do exercise and eat right for a year to get healthy, a thinner frame doesn't exactly help me on the computer, which I'm sure I'd glue myself onto again after achieving a lighter weight...

I'm 200 - 210 pounds and I'm 5'11.5 (I hate being half an inch off from 6'.) I guess I'm unhealthy. But I guess I don't really care much about my image.

I don't lift weights much anymore 'cause I don't have the money, so I just do a lot of the workout regimens I learned in the Army. I try to get as much cardio in as possible, but I really can't stand it. I like to walk a lot, but running just... it's tedious.

Lately, though, I've been trying to do more weight training than cardio, because I really need to gain some weight. Hopefully I can put on some muscle AND fat weight soon. :) I wanna get Wii Fit when I get the money, because it'll save me gym membership expenses, and it'll motivate me to exercise more.

Well I used to play squash 5 days a week but I stopped that when I finished school so I thought I better join the local gym to stay in shape.

I go to gym 4 times a week and do:
1500 rowing machine
15 mins on the X trainer
3 different kinds of weight machines
arm curls
some other kind of arm thing I'm not sure of the name
bench press
about 30 push ups
50 sit ups at about a 60 degree angle
stretches

the 3 days a week I don't go to gym I ride my exercise bike for half an hour to an hour.

Oh and I walk everywhere.

I've been doing this for about 4-5 months and never felt better.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll try that sometime, maybe I'll mix in some running in between.

抬拳道! (Taekwondo if the chinese actually shows up.) Let me just say, it is a great feeling knowing that you can probably take down 87% of the people in your school. It truely is. I do play Basketball with my friends, but I think Taekwondo by itself does a decent job of keeping me fit.

Well, I'm in the off season for Lacrosse right now, so I'm doing this Sports training program that focuses on everything from agility to weight training. It's twice a week and runs for about 2 and a half hours. I'm also at the gym at least 3 times a week, working on building more muscle.

Other than that, I play soccer with my friends, and in the Spring and Winter I'm playing Lacrosse constantly.

Lift weights, bench and do pull-ups every other day, or whenever I have time. Occasionally, I run if I feel like it (though I'm not a big fan of running).

When I'm at school, I use the machines in the gym to work most of the upper body. I also play intramural soccer and flag football if I get the chance.

I do a few push-ups and sit-ups everyday. I run once in a while as well.

Once track and field starts, though...

I bboy now for probably only a few hours a week, but when I get back to college, I'll be doing 2-3 hours of practice 4-5 times a week.

Even though I'll probably be working out and moving around for 15 hours a week, I'll still feel like I'm not doing enough. I used to be a level 10 gymnsast and I would practice for 24+ hours a week. After doing that for a few years, I got this crazy idea that that's normal, so now I feel lazy if I practice for any time less than 3 hours.

taekwondo is nice and all, but u'll need more than kicks to win in a street fight. i was in taekwondo 7 years- blackbelt included, but its important to work on boxing, and grappling as well for more well-rounded resume of kickass.
Equally important, real fights are never fair. I'm humble to say I know a thing or two about fighting, but when i jumped in to save my friend from a robbery, it didn't stop 3 people to beat me to the ground at once- its important to know how to fight dirty as possible to, including using you're envirornment and knowing when you can avoid stuff all together.

back to exercise:

i dont do much during summer, but i'm going to start up lifting weights casually this college semester as i always do. I'm not crazy strong, but i'm deffinately athletic as for as hardcore gamers go.
I was actually delightfully surprised today, for the first time in 3 months i tried getting a real workout, and i still got 16 reps of 135 lbs. (i weight 155, 6'). Obviously its because all my muscles are entirely fresh, so i dont expect to get that anytime soon now, but hopefully i can work back up to my max of 210.

I try to run 1 or 2x a week. Nothing crazy..anywhere from 1 to 3 miles, depending how i feel and hows the weather.

I submission/wrestle spar (victor by tapout, no striking) with some friends on occasion, which is awesome but we still pick up minor injuries here and there. Today i accidently elbowed my friend in the mouth while he was defending my mount.
The guys i spar with are much bigger than me (6'6 225, and 6'3 250?) so it makes me confident, in knowing that if i can go even with people that size, i'll have much easier times against people my own size.

QFT

I wrestle, but that won't do me any good in a real fight. I remember this one time a kid socked me in the jaw when I was walking out of school so I just slammed his face into a window and started bashing him. It's not the most honorable thing to do, but IMO there is hardly any honor in fighting now-a-days. (Excluding martial arts and sports involving fighting of course) Any guy can easily "win" a fight if he manages to pull a gun on you.

Well aside from that does anyone wrestle?

I usually go to the gym twice a week.

Elliptical for 50 minutes, then some arm work.

Once school starts, I'll have to ride my bike everyday, so that'll be good.

I actually did tae-kwon-do for a while, but stopped once I got my brown belt. Hard to get there, and half the people didn't want to be there anyway.

Sorry, but "practice kicking stuff" doesn't signafy taekwondo in my head. :psycho:

I wrote in chinese, cuz that's all I could do. I would have written in korean if I could, but alas, I can't. Chinese is the only language besides english this computer is capable of.

Say, did the chinese show up at all?
