I don't remember the whole thing but a lot of it pertained to edge game. Lack of edges significantly alters gameplay for a lot of characters in terms of edgeguarding and recovery. I think somebody might have noted that respawning on the level can be mad gay because of the invincibility. Frail characters don't have many options against beefy damage output (say, Falcon vs Sheik) because when Sheik respawns with invulnerability, there aren't exactly a lot of good places for Falcon to go to wait out her invincibility. Lack of platforms, edges, and even space at times. The cars can be mad gay too and game-breaking.

The fact that Puff and Peach are fairly OP on the level was also a large factor.

We made UT an offer they couldn't refuse.

I'm sure that my opinion will just be overlooked because I'm more of a newcomer. If I had a highly acclaimed player argue for banning mute city, jungle japes, and green greens, then the chances would be more likely for using the MBR stage list.

We should really look into why those stages are off the list anyways. =/

First off, Texas doesn't go with the flow. Despite being a conservative state we are liberal with our stage selection in both melee and brawl. At least that's how it seems currently.

Me and Hylian usually agree pretty well on stage selection, and I often trust him with decisions I can't move for my rulesets.

Your opinion isn't exactly being looked over because you aren't well known, I don't like Pound 4's ruleset either, and a lot of top players did influence it. I prefer to listen to the content of the arguements rather than who the player is. However, I will note if the player making an arguement has an agenda.

Do Peach players want Mute City banned? No. Do Fox players want Green Greens banned? No.

Does SOS leave Onett on when he holds tournaments at his apartment? Yes

Well, Clay (Noc) can probably give you more information about it. I don't really handle the money, so I don't know the specifics. However, I think it's the case that you have to be a UT organization if you want to hold a campus tournament using the ticketing.

However, I'm sure we (the UT Smash Club, that is) would be willing help out. At the last meeting, we held a Brawl tournament using this procedure, so if you're thinking of holding a larger tournament, you should still probably talk to Clay, haha.

First of all, as far as I'm aware, you have to be a registered student organization to reserve a room.

Now, when a student org holds an event for which admission is charged, the ticketing procedure must be used. We will be using the ticketing procedure at this event to collect the venue fees, but not tournament entry fees. This does not really stray from what student organization policy demands.

I think we'll try to hold a big Brawl tournament like this before the end of the semester (e.g. May 1st).
