Where would you rank the characters for edge-guarding?

Really As long as they can all edge gaurd well enough not to have serious problems then they are about equal really most people can edge gaurd and gimp pretty well I mean with good prediction on 2nd jumps and junk f-throw to air move as most people *****.

I totally agree. I'm shocked that so many people here obviously haven't seen all of Hbox's matches. He proves single-handedly that he can do almost anything to you once you're off the stage.

Sheik has needes, she's stupid fast, has that enormous bair range, and, in the air, two fast, powerful kill hits, forward and up. Look at Amsah's edgeguarding.

Marth: just watch m2k vids. Marth's sword can cover so many options at once.

Peach: just watch Armada vids. If Peach were faster or had a better edge-recovery game, she might be better up. But Armada does a lot with what he does have. The turnips and floating are just instant death to most characters in the wrong positions.

Fox and Falco are both better at it than Peach.

Their Bairs, ability to ledgehop, and (shine) spikes are better than everything Peach has in her edgeguarding arsenal.

Falco's lasers are amazing vs some recoveries.

I definitely think jigs and marth are top two

Jigglypuff just has to go out there and throw out any old aerial. its stupid easy and if you can rising pound its literally....a joke half of the time. just hit them. lol

Marth has so much creativity off stage and when near the edge that its hilarious and awesome. He literally can use....ANY move....in theory.

Fox just goes out there and hits shine or bair and he wins.

im ok with this but i would add doc right around fox cause the cape + bair ***** like everyones recovery. (minus jiggs)

people tend to forget about ice climbers and how well they can edge guard but also requires a lot of risk.

The Ice Climbers can edge guard? You mean all the 4 people in the entire world that play them?

They have their f smash and d smash which are amazing because they hit below the stage like Marths Fsmash but other than that? Not much. They just get a grab and **** you. thats ice climbers.

IC have good edgeguarding but not as good as puff marth sheik fox falco

they don't have ledgehop sex kick or the same ability to fly out and **** people

sword is better than hammers

they have a lot of tricks for covering multiple options though; they beast vs a lot of low recoveries

and they punish sheik's poof really hard (not as hard as another sheik or puff though)

Marth's the best IMO.

Fox is better vs certain characters (Falcon, Ganon).

Speaking of Ganon he's pretty **** good at edgeguarding.

you obviously didn't understand what i meant. But to be fair, when u say edgeguarding are you taking offstage gimping into account? If not then yeah mewtwo is meh. But if gimping is included long recovery = "lol i can jump out here and hit you, then recover no problem while you die". In that respect mewtwo is a lot like jiggs and peach. Get what i mean?

YL has projectiles, a great sex kick, perfectly fine recovery, and a wall jump. dair, uair, nair, fsmash (yes it can be used to edgeguard)... Even the ftilt is sometimes usable. Oh and don't forget SUNC and ledge stalling. Mewtwo has lots of ways to creativly keep most chars from recovering. That being said i agree with y.link prob being better than m2. Also ganondorf is top 3 easy. I don't think he's the best tho. Jiggs or marth maybe. Peach is high up there too.

GaW can actually edgeguard like a boss
Every one of his moves stays out forever
His Bair is super disjointed and gimpy, and lasts for years
Parachute is enormous
Dtilt acts like Marth's when characters recover low
Pan spike loool

But in all honesty theres a huge drop after the top few.
