he's the first one look again (but I admit it't weird being transparent but do we know if the hand are supposed to be there?)

1. He might not actually be selected.
2. He's not actually. Look again. Compare the two pictures.

Well your first point is invalid. Whenever you hold your player coin thing over someone they turn transperant. This happened in Melee and Brawl.

Buddy. You should really read our discussions before posting. We've already counter argumented both of your points. Marth is transparent because he's not selected yet, as seen by the "ball" thing being transparent over Marth. Numbers could be stocks or other things as previously discussed

So after my pixel-counting adventure, I'm estimating that this is the space the selection screen would use assuming that's a 720p TV.

Usually, this thing take like half the screen, if not more, why would that change now?

• The UI looks like it was when Sakurai was showing For Fun/For Glory
• Nothing seems out of place.

Cons:

• Bowser is missing strangely.
• That the reason why characters are appearing in the third picture is that you can unlock them in the demo.
• Ridley is hinted at, but not completely shown.

Really hoping this to be real. Having a real number on the roster just makes all the character discussion more interesting. It also makes me more confident that most of the characters in my sig are making it in, with still more to come. Kinda shocked that they would give away the character placement like that

Of course we are bound to see the real roster anyway with that tourny coming soon so let's hope we'll get some verification soon.

Things that stand out to me.
- Only 5 Zelda character (was kinda expecting a new one, oh well...)
- 6 pkmn (I need mewtwo in my veins now)
- 3 third party characters (could still be 4, but seeing the layout I doubt that)
- possibly 4 star fox slots (wanted to throw that out there for all the krystal haters )
- semi-confirm on third Metroid rep, third DK rep and second KI rep (no surprises really)

Final note, this leak better be real, because the roster would be amazing imo without even seeing who's behind the locks.

I see a P, Roy would be nearly to Marth.

Also it's a long name, it covers almost all the space for the name.

Megaman does too... so Pac Man?

It does fit with the For Fun and For Glory themes, so that's that. But why would all of those characters be locked? For a demo they could easily make it so there aren't the extra character slots. It's fishy.

It's the only slot that gives the box a tint so it's special. It's probably a random sign.
Assuming it's true.

Actually, this means the leaker uses consistent ways which might hint towards real because this would means that he really want to protect himself but still giving info.

So, remind me why everyone is soo gung ho about it being K.Rool or Dixie next to Diddy? Olimar would fit just as well since all those characters are made by Miyamoto, and Olimar is an anagram of Mario with an L added.

If that's what the leaker was going for, which seems likely.

1)There is no hand on the icon and Marth is in the slot meaning he's selected
2)You can see a freaking line though Marth's head.

I'd also like to mention that the guy taking the pictures split it up into three different ones when he could have done the whole thing with one shot. Fakes usually use the tilted shot.

Pros

• Text is 100% accurate to the Direct
• Characters line up with Gematsu + Ridley and Mewtwo. Maybe K Rool if Wolf/ROB/Lucas are cut
• The reality is convincing. A beta version of the demo at Best Buy. Hiding camera to prevent tracking location/leaker. Pixelation when image is close.
• If faked, the fake was made well. Someone of this level would not leave obvious plotholes such as the odd numbers above the characters. Also the characters being unlocked along the way. It's odd enough that the faker wouldn't do that. More likely, the leaker just took pics and uploaded them fast as he could.
• Post being removed within 2 hours of posting. (Caught?)
• A leak very soon after a character reveal, not even showing that character. (Ike).

Cons

• Ridley not being fully shown. He would be the only character to not have art already made, which would be hard to fake for a leaker.

That's all I got for now. Someone help me make this more complete. This should help you out Swampasour
