Non-E3 related discussion would concern leaks and rumors that don't concern E3. For example, a leaked full roster would not be an E3 leak unless specified as such. That's what everyone assumed. Although I find it odd they wouldn't let Mega Man or Little Mac to the public when they are both very anticipated.
The tourney is how Nintendo is demonstrating Smash 4. Using the tourney to show off characters would make sense and skyrocket the hype. The press would eat up the sudden explosion of fans freaking over Ridley.
Yeah, it's kind of a jerk move, to be honest, assuming this is true. Mega Man and Little Mac were so anticipated and got people hyped, but you don't let them be playable at Best Buy knowing that? Kinda silly considering they were among the most wanted characters. And if the Ridley thing is true too, that just adds insult to injury. I'm sure most people would want to play as those 3 more than characters like Mario and Pikachu. Sure, it could be a marketing thing for the E3 Invitational or whatever, but it's still kinda rude to the public in a way to deny them that experience just because they can't go to E3 themselves.
I am not that great at this and Photo Shop does not work on my computer. Though if it is not too much to ask, could you use any editing software you have and change DK's colors?
That would help alot with hype and is something that I would not mind seeing.

The ridley one is off and someone pointed on the character discussion thread that the blue outline was outside the character box (you can see a grey line on the right of the blue outline).

Ah, thanks. The person who leaked this took extra care when they went through with this. If proven to be fake, then this person did a very good job.I just did something really lazy, and made the area around where the corner is white
I'm sure someone can do much better, but basically, it's there, and matches the color of the other corner things.
yeah and you know what's even worse? check the first pic it's aligned correctly.
I guess it's possible that the layer is 3D and you can move it around with the C Stick but...Well guys, this ridley debate isn't finished

It probably happened when the leaker pasted his new fake Ridley character slot, and accidentally moved it a pixel higher.
No, we didn't Ms. Explorer. The corner mark is still present for one. It also is similar to how Marth has the border touching the light grey line, just like this one does, as well there are vague traces of the border inside the red line on Marth's as well.What is going on!

No way, the angle could only be made by someone who had the picture on their monitor.
Come on man. It makes no sense why the ONLY unnanounced character would magically have their rectangular name plate 1 pixel up than the others. You can clearly see the block dot near the bottom of Ridley's name plate. Also, as aldelaro stated before, that name plate was normal until this picture came out.

No. I think you can do it like that on a booth.
But only Ridley is unlocked in this tournament version, making him an exception to the rest. Let alone the fact that his story states he was TESTING the game builds. Testing doesn't have to just mean gameplay, but could pertain to other facets as well, such as this menu. It's a flaw, but it's just as possible that it could be an error in game, just as it could be an error in fabricating a leak. If I was the leaker, why even include Ridley? You have such a safe leak, and you could just as easily claim Ridley is unlocked after the tournament. Yet, here's proof of Ridley right here? Why risk it? Why even risk adding Mega Man and Mac and stating there are two editions, that would make no sense for a random leaker to do if he had already made two very well made fakes.
Stick a knife it in, it's done! This is the proof that we needed to be fake! Also, why would unlocking him magically move his name plate up by 1? It is impossible for that mistake to be made.
You're being to biased my friend. My argument certainly does not prove it isn't fake, as any leak should be treated fake until proven true. My argument simply points out another side to this, more possibilities that we cannot ignore.

To be honest, if the possibility is there, it's so tiny that I'm even wondering why talking about it. We are not talking about the whole character box but only the name rectangle how could move only the rectangle (aka what would be the need to do that?).
