I'm mad they mention hardcore PS3 and Xbox360game.
Basicly what I am saying is Wii has alot of hardcore games but they are never mentioned.
'
Does this make anyone else even slightly mad?
Super Mario Galaxy is hardcore.
The Conduit is hardcore.
Resident evil 4 is hardcore.
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is hardcore.
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is kinda hardcore.
Madworld is hardcore.
MKWii is kinda hardcore.
Then there is Call of Duty Wii.
Soon to be CoD:MW2 and also CoD: Modern Warfare wii.
Resident Evil Archives is hardcore.
peoples idea of 'hardcore' is completely skewed. Someone once told me, The wii is the system for the casual gamer, to which I asked him, what does that mean? "Ya know, people who don't like blood and violence." Yes, so Mortal Combat is more hardcore than Street Fighter and Guilty Gear, good to know.
Honestly, I could care less. I want quality game design, and for that I go for the Wii, with titles like Endless Ocean, A Boy and His Blob, and World of Goo, games that have far more originality than 99 percent of the entire Xbox lineup. The simple fact that there are some gamers buying each Call of Duty shows me that I could care less what the 'core' gamers think, because the core gamers willingly buy the same game 30 times in 10 years, and when I bring this up they go, "well duh, its about shooting things, why would it ever change" and then I go "then why are you purchasing the exact same game, that is no more than a map pack" and they go quiet.
Really, don't pay attention to them, because they only wish to distinguish themselves as 'hard core' video gamers, refuting the fact that they are promoting monotony by buying rehashed versions of the same game, while beautiful things like Little Big Planet and Endless Ocean exist.
I'll be playing No More Heroes next January while they play Call of Duty World of War 2: Map Pack, Full Price Action.

I think Call of Duty is a piece of crap and I express the same sentiments to my friends, all of whom think it's "ZOMGAMAZING" and get upset when I don't want to ever play the games. I just love how they act as if the games are really any different...I've told them, I play any CoD game and it feels exactly the same as any other.
But I still think the Wii sucks.
It is extremely lacking in hardcore games, and by that I mean 90% of the games focus on crappy, uncreative gimmicks, have little or no point, and are very shallow. Pick any of the
titles and you have a PERFECT example:
Wii Sports: Lots of mini-games, not very creative aside from the gimmick of the Wiimote, not even very much of a goal, just getting "Pro" on all sports.
Wii Play: Total mini-game collection. Even worse than Wii Sports as far as uncreative and gimmick-full go. Getting medals is the only "goal", which is already minimally challenging/very little of a goal.
Wii Fit: Mini-game collection. Without the balance board this game is almost literally NOTHING. Goal is just to stay fit, which is basically entirely out-of-game.
Wii Music: It's not even a game and there's not even any penalty for doing poorly. Nintendo has even admitted that it's not a game. Multiple times.
Now, it's hard to say four titles count as the Wii's whole library, and I'm not saying that at all, before someone accuses me of doing that. My point is that 90% of the games on the Wii are very similar in style to the "Wii" franchise of games.
By the way, speaking of buying the same game over and over...why do people buy a "new" football/hockey/basketball/whatever sport game every single year...?
Yes, TP is a GameCube title. It was originally developed and everything on the GameCube. The only reason it's considered otherwise is because Nintendo held off on releasing it both in general and on the GameCube so they could release it with the Wii.

In any case, this is now directed at Firus:
Remember how many shovelware there was for the PS2 when it dominated the console market last generation? No? Well ****, dude, you just doesn't know.
It's just as apparent with the Wii because Nintendo is more vocal about it and the "hardcore" gamers complain louder about it.

I really didn't pay any attention to game releases last gen very well, so I can't say I do.
But yes, I know that when a console is very popular, it gets flooded with shovelware. Happened to the Atari 2600, too, as well as many other popular consoles of their generation.
I guess to the victor goes the shovelware. (Which is a totally inaccurate manipulation of the saying "to the victor goes the spoils" which I saw on another forum, but we can just pretend it makes sense.)
Doesn't decrease the amount of shovelware at any rate. And I don't actually like the PS2 ALL that much, and as far as most gamers go I would actually be considered quite out-of-the-ordinary, actually...since half of all gamers seem to be all "ZOMGPS2FANGASM" while I think it was an okay/good system. To be 100% honest, I mostly got it because of 3rd party titles the GameCube didn't have. Ratchet & Clank, Shadow of the Colossus, Devil May Cry 3...those were pretty much bonuses since I didn't plan on getting them until I already had had the PS2 for a while. I just got SotC on Friday. >_>
Then again, I got my Xbox sometime this console generation when one of my friends got a 360, and I didn't have an Xbox of any sort yet.

First off,
Oh, imagine that, there is a market other than hard core and someone went after that, then the Wii as a system must be crap. Let's ignore all other games on the system.
Let's look at the Wiis line up this year and see how it compares to the idea of the games being nothing more than a mini game collection:
Tenchu - Shadow Assassin's
The House of The Dead: Overkill
Deadly Creatures
MadWorld
PES 2009
Rune Factory Frontier
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time
Guitar Hero: Metallica
Excitebots: Trick Racing
Klonoa
Punch Out!!
Boom Blox Bash Party
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus
Broken Swords: Shadow Of The Templars - Directors Cut
Grand Slam Tennis
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10
Little King's Story
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Virtua Tennis 2009
The Conduit
Overlord: Dark Legend
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil
Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince
Wii Sports Resort
Madden 10
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Spectrobes Origins
Cursed Mountain
Guitar Hero 5
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
The Beatles: Rockband
NHL 2K10
Spyborgs
TMNT Smash Up
Wii Fit Plus:
New Super Mario Bros: Wii:
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars:
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories:
Spore Hero:
Deadspace: Extraction:
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers:
Arc Rise Fantasia:
A Boy and His Blob:

Rabbids Go Home:
JU-ON: The Grudge:
Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love:
DJ Hero:
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon:
Flips Twisted World:
Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3:
Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo
Now, let's remove all of the following:
Re-releases
things that are arguably not a game
minigame collections
rail shooters
I will not remove things that are not exclusive, because then I'd remove 85% of the Xbox and PS lineup as well.

Oh wow, look at that, still a sizable line up. So from there, it simply comes down to your opinion on each individual game.
Remember, there are multiple reasons to play games now. It use to simply be a very competitive thing, where you either compete against the computer, the design, or another player. Now, there are more reasons to play video games than just that.
You will not find a better escape game than Endless Ocean, and Endless Ocean is easily one of my favorite games of the last 5 years. The ease of play put together with the vast, expansive world full of treasures yet to find and incredible depth ranging from the changing of seasons to the simple yet effective story telling.
Now, is this a hard game to play? Not by any means, however, why should a game be hard to play at all? Is that not counter intuitive to the idea of games? Endless Ocean proves that a game can be easy to pick up, but still have an incredible amount of depth behind it. Too much have I heard people on this site say that a game has no depth because it is not difficult to play. There is a lot more than depth than mastering the controls of the game, and from a developer (and player) stand point, having to master controls is not something that sounds like a well developed game to me. Serlin's review of Street Fighter 4 proves that out right.
Think back to the original Mario's, where the controls were very, very easy, the design was easy to understand and comprehend as well. Despite this, the amount of depth in the game of the original Mario's is staggering for their time, with hours upon hours of hidden treats for gamers to find. Now think of Smash 64, where the game's controls are incredibly intuitive, but the developers put loads of features in the game that were never mentioned, but left for players to discover, such as shield breaking Jigglypuff, and an extensive combo and DI system. Here we see two examples of games that are intuitive in play, but have hours upon hours of play time long after mastery. Without a competitive drive, once I have mastered the technical aspect of Gears of War, what is to keep me, the gamer coming back for more? With the high price tag of today's games, I would expect a lot of this true level of depth, and yet I see none in most of what is labeled 'hardcore' games.
Now excuse me while I go preorder A Boy and his Blob
And here I was thinking I was going to prevent people accusing me of saying something I didn't say.
(By the by, looking down that list there are about 4 that interest me. Doesn't mean they suck, it just means they don't interest me.)

Oh, I know, and I hate it. I play games to have fun and this is no longer the case, because we have to make games so freaking complex.
I'll take Sonic 3 & Knuckles, with as simplistic gameplay and story as it has, over Sonic Unleashed, with complex gameplay and graphics, 3D environments, and some sort of somewhat intricate plot, any day of any week of any month of any year.
But Sonic isn't a fair example of that at all, it sucks now and most people recognize that.
Then use your imagination. Sonic games are some of the first I played, therefore they are the first thing I turn to when it comes to how they've changed.
ROSE-TINTED GLASSES OF NOSTALGIA YOU ADMITTED IT YOURSELF!
I'm going to kill you.

If you can point out where I said games should be hard to play, I'll actually address that.
I think most games should have some element of difficulty, but that doesn't necessarily mean the game itself has to be difficult. Fourth generation Pokémon was too easy, so I did solo challenges. I beat Metroid Fusion enough times, I did 1% runs.
I've never played Endless Ocean so I have no idea what to say on that matter. All I can say is that it doesn't seem like my type of game, but feel free to play it as you wish.
And I think one-on-one fighters like Street Fighter and Soul Calibur which have intense combos to recognize are good, but that combo memorizing thing is the one thing I really hate about them. Especially since I can never pull off any of those fancy control pad/stick maneuvers.
Think back to the original Mario's, where the controls were very, very easy, the design was easy to understand and comprehend as well. Despite this, the amount of depth in the game of the original Mario's is staggering for their time, with hours upon hours of hidden treats for gamers to find.
Exactly. You've clearly misunderstood where I'm coming from as my standpoint when it comes to games it that they should be FOR FUN. Simple, easy-to-understand design that can be pick-up-and-played is almost ideal for that.
Now think of Smash 64, where the game's controls are incredibly intuitive, but the developers put loads of features in the game that were never mentioned, but left for players to discover, such as shield breaking Jigglypuff, and an extensive combo and DI system. ...You REALLY don't understand where I'm coming from if you think I defend Gears of War and/or would ever take a new game over an old one.
(By the way. Hardcore doesn't have to be new. I just thought I'd point that out since you seem to be under that impression.)
Let me explain something to you:
I DON'T LIKE FPS'S.
I AM NOT A 360/PS3 FANBOY.
I own a 360 so I can play SOME current games without wanting to shoot myself. But I own 6 games for it. The only one of which I think actually has any potential to be in my top 20 games ever is Mirror's Edge.
Basically, this generation sucks. Hard. Yes, that includes the 360 and the PS3. People think that just because you say the Wii sucks, you must love one of the other consoles.
Oh, I know, and I hate it. I play games to have fun and this is no longer the case, because we have to make games so freaking complex.

Then use your imagination. Sonic games are some of the first I played, therefore they are the first thing I turn to when it comes to how they've changed.
ROSE-TINTED GLASSES OF NOSTALGIA YOU ADMITTED IT YOURSELF!
Well, personally, I've always believed that Sonic had some of the worst game design out there. It was designed to do two things at once, explore a large world, and go super super fast. Adding in Knuckles did fix this however, by adding a character that wasn't based on speed they gave you the option, you want to run fast and explore this world we have?
As for the Sonic sucking, that has more to do with Sega post dreamcast IMO than anything else. That seemed to kill the spirit of Sega somehow.
What you have to also recognize is that different people seek out different kinds of fun. Personally, my fun comes from three sources, relaxation (endless ocean, exploring the world of Legend of Zelda), competitive feeling(Guilty Gear and Smash), or emotion (Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and anything by Team Ico). This may not be the same reason why you play. Some play to enter an alternative, do anything reality, these people are generally appealed towards high violence games and sandbox games like Grand Theft Auto. Some play it as a social activity, weather by tournaments, friendly play, or online.
If you can point out where I said games should be hard to play, I'll actually address that.
More tackling the most commonly used example of what makes a game 'hardcore'.
Basically, this generation sucks. Hard. Yes, that includes the 360 and the PS3. People think that just because you say the Wii sucks, you must love one of the other consoles.
Its because we are in a transition period. Think about all the awful things to come out inbetween the time span of the Super Nintendo and the N64 and Play station. It was an awful period of gaming. Then there is the Atarti 2600 to the Family Com stage, which was so bad it nearly crashed the game industry all together. We are in one of those periods, and I'll admit the last year was very rough, with a few super super gems being around (and no, I don't mean Oblivion with Guns coughcough) but next year to me is an incredibly exciting year, with 4 games being must haves in the first month alone :l I think the fact that we are still calling this gen 'next-gen' shows that we are still waiting for a sign that something grand is yet to come, though I doubt anything will top MGS4 this gen, cause this gen is all about better graphics and brushing the water of motion control, thought the Natal is not the answer to our motion control quest at all
Luckily, Sony has already stated they don't want this generation to last the normal length, and there are rumors of new consoles being unveiled sometime in the next 2 years, or them simply being announced.
When people claim that the Wii isn't on par with other systems, are they saying:
A) The technical parts and hardware?
B) Quality of games availabl?
C) Sales and performance in the General Market?
Certainly not the last one, since the Wii dominates the market, despite how bad it is apparently...
I like playing the Wii. I don't need someone telling me that because I'm not playing a Legend Of Zelda or Mario game, the fun I'm having is not actual fun, thereby reducing my status from a supposed "hardcore" to a lolzy "casual". I think that whole debate is silly and pretentious, and I've seen it draaag on now for forever, with both sides being stupid.
(Supposed) Hardcore: "All of these systems suck, there is tons of shovelware, the games are bad, give me my series back, this generation dominated by casual gamers, your opinion doesn't matter because I'm a hardcore gamer, this is the definition of hardcore/casual"
(Supposed) Casual: "I like some of the minigame games, you are so flamboyantly snobby, (insert system here) is better than (insert diff. system here) because (insert true/non true reason here), Definition of hardcore? CASUAL? Blerp".
I disagree, and I don't know how purchasing the game from a Nintendo-run database of games differs from going to a store, and buying the same digital information on a disc. Does that mean that buying a game from Amazon or Ebay is "not hardcore" because you didn't purchase the game yourself? Must I own the commemorative special edition that comes with the plastic flip coin?
The definition is subjective, and it's inappropriate (in the terms of legality and correcteness, not morally) to correct someone by stating that "Object X/Action X is hardcore" when the definition is as obscure as it is now.
Hardcore games means online play MUST come with frustration and a bunch of people you've never met before making fun of your momma when they've never met the poor woman before lol.
Wii Sports: Lots of mini-games, not very creative aside from the gimmick of the Wiimote, not even very much of a goal, just getting "Pro" on all sports.
Also screw console fanboyism. There isn't a single system this generation that's even worth arguing about. They all blow. I have the Wii 'cause I just enjoy it more than the other 2. (I learned this while playing some of the "top" titles on a friends xbox.) And also because it was a gift. But oh well.
I'm not gonna talk too much smack about PS3. Because I do want one. But mainly for media purposes... and if I can get a few hours of game time out of that then that's cool.
Just play the games and stop getting trolled though. If you feel like they're really missing out on hardcore titles then just laugh at them and move on.

Yes, clearly the casual gamers are victimized and all hardcore gamers are jerks and elitists. We should be shot.
Like, what, it's a crime to say that this generation sucks?
No one's telling you you can't have fun playing casual games, for crying out loud, I'm just saying I think they're pieces of crap.

Dude, for heaven's sake, CALM THE HELL DOWN. IT WAS A FREAKING JOKE. I think it is much, much better to get the actual game because you're not playing a legal ROM, you actually OWN the game, not the right to PLAY it, and in 10 years or so when Nintendo's Wii service goes down, I'll still have the games.
If you want to play what I find to be an inferior version (it is interesting to point out that the graphics are blurrier on VC than in the real thing, I did a comparison with Super Metroid), why do I give a crap? I'm still going to think they're inferior, and you're still going to play it, but I'm hardly going to track you down and delete VC games from your system.
And you KNOW for a fact that half of the games I own are not original at all, so why you have to be like "OH IS ORDERING THEM OFF THE INTERNET BAD" is beyond me.
I don't know what you've got up your butt but you're just looking for a fight in something that is not giving it to you easily.
Zelda TP was garbage for me. I beat it in two days, and I honestly have no idea how anyone could like that game. People that like the game, I flame in person. I was looking for a large map with many quests, maybe nothing like Morrowind/Oblivion, but they made the game look fantastic and large, and what they did was just throw a big *** field with nothing in it next to the castle. EDIT: Oh, and it was easy as hell. Bosses were like fifth grade math assignments.
Mario Galaxy, I never played, but I'm sure it was good. As for Metroid Prime 3, best ****ing game I played. It was like a movie at the same time, the music was awesome, the gameplay was fun, the graphics rocked. Only complaint? Beat it in three days. And for me to say the ame was great is saying something, especially when how long a game is matters to me most. MP3, greatest game I played (other than Brawl, but I don't believe that counts).
But I knew what to expect when I bought the console .
edit: just to be on topic, I think the gaming media (in general) has always had a problem with Nintendo. You may as well just accept it and ignore what they have to say.

No, actually, I believe you need to calm down. There was nothing outlandish, rude, or argumentative about that last post, but your making into something bigger than it is. with your capital letters and what not. I've stated before that I think this entire argument is silly and pretentious, so I shouldn't really expect intelligent responses anyways. However, I don't understand what you mean when you say "IT WAS A JOKE" then go on to say that the VC games are, actually, worse than the originals. V_V If it wasn't a joke, just state it. I have no problem with it.
I don't understand how I make a simple argumentative post and get told "Calm the hell down" when you've been rude to alot of people in this thread while they respect your opinion in their responses. I'll take the high road, kthx.
Okay, I will. I like to have fun, and I honestly couldn't care whether that fun originated from a plastic disc or a box on my Wii menu screen.
And, oh no, graphics, which I believe don't make or break a game unless they are in the extremes.
And you KNOW for a fact that half of the games I own are not original at all, so why you have to be like "OH IS ORDERING THEM OFF THE INTERNET BAD" is beyond me.
Again with the captilized letters that make me seem like a 4-year old on crack. Sigh.
Like I stated before, I was simply letting on a metaphor as a comparison. The fact that you've observed this metaphor on such a base level is saddening.
Yes, I do know that half of your games are not original. However, why would that pertain to this discussion? Your game catalog is gigantic, and I (will steal) want it, but it doesn't have merit here.
Not looking for a fight at all. I read through the entire thing and responded to a single part of one of your posts, then added in my opinion. It seems you are the one seeking some sort of argumentative battle, in which I will not partake, because this debate is so f*cking overplayed that both sides just seem absolutely god awful.
I abhor this debate wholeheartedly. I won't partake, thank you.
Seriously, I didn't actually mean to cause this debate >.>
I'm mad they mention hardcore PS3 and Xbox360game.
Basicly what I am saying is Wii has alot of hardcore games but they are never mentioned.
'
Does this make anyone else even slightly mad?
I'd like to know why the eff does it matter? Generally Wii's games are targeting casual audiences, but there are hardcore games out there.(LOZ:TP, for one) But mad??? I could care less if the Wii is never mentioned. I play it, I'm hardcore, that's all that matters to me.
You guys are arguing overly intensely about something that really doesn't mean very much.
If you're disappointed with the Wii, live with it. A lot of things in life are disappointing: girlfriends, parents, restaurants, winning the lottery, being born, etc.
If you're unsatisfied with your product, return it. Stick with your old consoles, buy an alternative, but stop *****ing how the Wii has failed you in every possible department.
Last I heard, you weren't the centre of the universe, the Wii sells more then ice cream outside an elementary school's gates, so Nintendo is doing it right.
Nintendo doesn't care about you. Nintendo will never care about you. Nintendo, like Sony, Microsoft, Apple, Nike, and Adidas, only care about one thing.
MONEY. If they're making it, then as far as they're concerned, this is a fantastic product.
Just to note: I'm too lazy to try and un-angrify my post, but I'm pretty sure I came off stronger than I meant to. If I came off as super-angry/whatever to anyone, I apologize.
No, actually, I believe you need to calm down. There was nothing outlandish, rude, or argumentative about that last post, but your making into something bigger than it is.
Yes, that's the way to go. Insult people! That brings arguments to good places.
However, I don't understand what you mean when you say "IT WAS A JOKE" then go on to say that the VC games are, actually, worse than the originals. V_V If it wasn't a joke, just state it. I have no problem with it.
Don't twist what I said, I threw in something about it being my opinion that the VC games are inferior every time I mentioned it. You may or may not have had malicious intent by saying that, but someone says one thing like that and before you know it everyone's going off of that statement and forgetting that nothing of the sort was said.
The "It's hardcore to get the original game" part was a joke. That's what I meant.
And also, clearly you do, considering your reaction to one sentence saying it was hardcore to get the original game.
I don't understand how I make a simple argumentative post and get told "Calm the hell down" when you've been rude to alot of people in this thread while they respect your opinion in their responses. I'll take the high road, kthx.
That's it, pretend like you're just a perfect angel and I'm like, flaming everyone. I've made an honest effort to include an "in my opinion" or "I think" just about everywhere lest I, god forbid, offend someone. But if I ever forgot one, let me just make it perfectly clear that it's implied that it's my opinion. Obviously if you disagree, it can't be fact.
You get told to calm the hell down because you came into the thread pointing fingers and shouting accusations at all hardcore gamers (but me specifically). Yes, you did accuse all hardcore gamers:
(Supposed) Hardcore: "All of these systems suck, there is tons of shovelware, the games are bad, give me my series back, this generation dominated by casual gamers, your opinion doesn't matter because I'm a hardcore gamer, this is the definition of hardcore/casual"
And you claim to be so polite, yet you mocked my statement that original games are more hardcore than the VC ones:
Does that mean that buying a game from Amazon or Ebay is "not hardcore" because you didn't purchase the game yourself? Must I own the commemorative special edition that comes with the plastic flip coin?
Good for you! Have fun. I'm a collector, therefore I like the original games. Not because I have some snooty definition of what can be fun, thank you very much.
You'd think you'd have known that by now...but apparently not.
And, oh no, graphics, which I believe don't make or break a game unless they are in the extremes.
And you should know that I don't either, but apparently not.
I wasn't saying "DON'T PLAY VC GAMES THE GRAPHICS ARE WORSE!" I was saying that the VC games have inferior graphics because they are blurred. Basically, crappy emulation is crappy. It's not noticeable unless you compare, it's just interesting to note. I would give a screenshot but I can't find any online and my picture-taking capabilities are so poor that you wouldn't be able to see any difference.
Again with the captilized letters that make me seem like a 4-year old on crack. Sigh.
Like I stated before, I was simply letting on a metaphor as a comparison. The fact that you've observed this metaphor on such a base level is saddening.
The fact that you think it's saddening that I misinterpreted something that you said as an actual, real comparison, rather than some made-up, sarcastic metaphor...(I think, I can't even tell what you're saying) is even more saddening.
It's the internet, you can't expect people to pick up on everything and it's really obnoxious of you to act all snooty because I didn't.
Yes, I do know that half of your games are not original. However, why would that pertain to this discussion? Your game catalog is gigantic, and I (will steal) want it, but it doesn't have merit here.
My point is that I have no qualms about ordering from eBay or Amazon, (because I'm a collector, not some crazy nut who has to do everything a certain way...well, some things, but not this, anyways) and you made a really bad metaphor.
No one cares how you got something, unless you want bragging rights to say you got a Sega CDX for $5 at Goodwill. Having the original game actually has merit, especially as a collector. I don't care if you collect at all, just don't act like I'm crazy for collecting.
Your post was dripping with angry comments and a little bit of sarcasm. Either you were just in a bad mood or you were looking for a fight. And either way you got a debate, whether or not you meant to.
This isn't a debate, I don't care about saying "THE WII IS WORSE!!1!1!1" My point is to express that the opinion exists and is legitimate. A few people were acting like it doesn't/isn't.
If you're disappointed with the Wii, live with it. A lot of things in life are disappointing: girlfriends, parents, restaurants, winning the lottery, being born, etc.
I am...I didn't create a blog to rant about it, the guy created a blog saying "ZOMG WUTS RAWNG WITH REVIEWERS THEY DON'T THINK THE WII IS HARDCORE?!" so I replied saying that I really don't think it is.
If you're unsatisfied with your product, return it. Stick with your old consoles, buy an alternative, but stop *****ing how the Wii has failed you in every possible department.
I've done all of the above save for returning the product. At this point in time I've had it for almost 3 years anyways so it would be selling it....and it's not in great condition so I wouldn't get much money for it...and I don't want to sell it.
Again, he started the topic. I didn't bring it up. Don't tell me I'm "*****ing", as I'm not. I'm stating my opinion on the matter.
And yes, there is quite a difference.
Last I heard, you weren't the centre of the universe, the Wii sells more then ice cream outside an elementary school's gates, so Nintendo is doing it right.
Nintendo is doing it right FOR THEM. I'm still perfectly justified in disliking it myself...

MONEY. If they're making it, then as far as they're concerned, this is a fantastic product.
I don't understand why people feel the need to bring this up. I am WELL AWARE of the fact that Nintendo is wildly successful with their current strategy, that they won't change, and I would not expect them to change. I didn't even say they should change. As far as I'm concerned the Wii is a lost cause anyways.
What I'm not aware of is why, whenever ANYONE says ANYTHING bad about the Wii, someone has to come in telling them to shut their trap because nothing can/will/should be done about it.
Last I heard, you weren't the centre of the universe, the Wii sells more then ice cream outside an elementary school's gates, so Nintendo is doing it right.
This is why I love Nintendo. They know their business.
I should study the methods for Entrepreneurship. >_>
Still lolling at any console debate or whatever this is though (it's not really one anymore but at the page before this...). What is it with trying to prove an opinion.. <_< play something you enjoy and get over it.
next people will be shoving rocky road ice cream down your throat because you said you don't like it
and that wouldn't be very pretty. it'd probably hurt actually.
I personally think that Nintendo's business model and philosophy, while great for them, is bad for the overall game industry and its future maturation and development.
Their E3 conferences and handling of Brawl has made me lose much respect for them.
I'd like to know why the eff does it matter? Generally Wii's games are targeting casual audiences, but there are hardcore games out there.(LOZ:TP, for one) But mad??? I could care less if the Wii is never mentioned. I play it, I'm hardcore, that's all that matters to me.
Everyone has their own definition of hardcore, it would be impossible to come up with a universal one.
There's not really any point, anyways.
The hardcore-ness of a game is irrelevant if you enjoy it. Unless they're saying that a game factually sucks and anyone who disagrees doesn't know what they're talking about, it doesn't matter.
Plus, these are reviewers we're talking about. Reviewers lie.
We're all biased, it's just that our bias is different from theirs. Basically, let them think what they think, and don't fuss about things beyond your control. Makes life simpler.
