Eh, comparisons between the two is like comparing Mario to Banjo. Honestly, I'm more concerned with how Dark Matter would play as I don't remember his Robobot boss fight adding many news moves to flesh out a moveset
Ok fair enough, I did read the post and I saw the description. I don't think the name Toad was ever mentioned once in your post, so I don't get why it's unreasonable for me to interpret it to mean Waluigi. Literally all you said was "player 4" it's not a reading problem.

Ah yes, I too want Antasma. Legit though why is his boss theme not in the game? It's one of my favourite Mario tracks. Smash seems to have this issue with boss themes a lot, worst offender being Dark Samus not having her boss theme in the game

But she isn't a Toad, where is her mushroom? Same with Mario, he looks nothing like a mushroom or a Toad either.

Smash speculation is gonna end in September so you don't have to worry on that front. Though I'll be honest, we burnt through all the interesting discussion a long time ago and now it's just a matter of waiting for this ride to come to it's conclusion.

Out of curiosity, what makes you say that?
For me, the fact that we already got a spirit event for Sword and Shield and that we are now closer to getting to the next generation.
It's OK because our SwSh rep is a Galar Pokemon trainer with six different mons, that's why we're going to wait until December 29th to get them after a Gen 8 guessing game.
Keep in mind that Incineroar was added despite Sword and Shield only releasing one year later. They likely planned the character ahead of time.
That's the one thing that might admittedly throw a wrench into my prediction, but the spirit event also predates FP2. They may have planned for a Sword and Shield Pokemon as early as back then but knew it'll be a while until it would actually be added, so they held the spirit event to promote the game.
That's a possibility but I doubt Sakurai really cares that much about representation. It seems like more of a coincedence to me.
I think that's more likely due to covid. I seriously doubt they were discussing new characters and proposed a certain character and then Sakurai said "He has a different voice in Spanish, we can't include him!"
