It’s funny how tastes can vary so much. I’ll admit that Electivire sometimes looks cool depending on the art. Its TCG arts by TOKIYA and Kawayoo are really good. This makes me curious how many people like both Electabuzz and Electivire since we each only like one and dislike the other.

And this is why asking for characters from games you haven't played yet is dumb(looking at you, Nahobino stans). All those people asking for EMMI after that first trailer would miss out on this guy completely.

I mean there's a big difference between the EMMIs, which were never meant to be the main villains of Dread, and Nahobino, which is literally the protagonist of his game, so it's not like a secret character is going to pop up out of nowhere and take his role.

And it's probably the best boss fight in the 2D series. Well, to be fair, Samus Returns easily has some of the best 2D bosses, not just the final boss.

Thumbnail looks so ****ing sick. And the video has some revealing cutscenes for anyone who wants to go blind when it comes to the story.

The mobility here looks crazy, and the variety of environments and enemies is definitely notable, at least compared to Samus Returns.

Gotta keep fighting those Chozo birds like by the dozenth time you fight them its like...

Then the Metroid music gets replaced with the chicken fight music hahaha

There's still some things I don't understand though. If this was a mistranslation, what did the "it will still be available this year" part mean, in relation to what he said. And secondly, why would we not get a double reveal at E3 if the character was just gonna be released in September and likely would have been able to revealed?

To all of you arguing about what "a while" means, you're all forgetting the context: he said that during a presentation that aired for E3., where multiple reveals have happened. It's clear to me that the expression was just there to say that the next character wasn't coming out right away and we'd have to wait still. Also remember that he speaks Japanese and never actually said "a while". Translators chose that expression. So no panic is needed, and if it truly is the last character, then all their efforts are on that and we can probably expect the same release period as usual.

That tweet was made in January of 2020. I highly doubt he was referring to the release of the final character in the 2nd pass since that was like Byleth times.

It's also possible that "6th fighter" could have been referring to Min Min, and not the last character of FP2. I didn't think about it that way.

Yeah, but for all anyone knows, Nahobino could be a secret Nazi or child molester or something. He PROBABLY isn't, but he could be. And they don't know, because they haven't played the damn game yet.

Google does mess up a lot, but in this particular part of its translation, it did not. The 6 in this tweet is immediately followed by 体, which in this case is a counter for humanoid forms. (dolls, statues, corpses... everything that looks like a living human but isn't) 体 is itself followed by 目, which role here is to indicate that the number and counter preceding it are ordinal. Meaning that Sakurai did indeed say "the sixth fighter."

A fair point, but I doubt the crew would put a being identical looking to Kraid in, shove him in trailers, and then reveal in game that it isn’t actually him. I guess it could also be something like his offspring but Idk.

Phantoon was in Other M even after Mother Brain was killed again. So I’m not entirely sure how that works. Other M isn’t canon anymore though so if this is the case it would mean they retconned a retcon, which isn’t impossible but I think its funny.

I just want Ridley to be the Main Villain in one game. Hes got the history with Samus and more appearances than any other villain. I just want him to get a moment as the proper Final Boss. Not this game though, since the Chozo general is taking over as lead villain and Kraid is our current underling (though he looks to be more a prisoner). I’m fine with Ridley sitting this one out.

Also the idea of Kraid being not actually Kraid fits really. He was destroyed and somehow reinvented either through gene technology or some other sci-fi banana milkshake but it's absolutely plausible....
