So this is something I just thought of the other day but how many of your favorite games are in Smash?
Looking at my top 27 favorite games, the ones that are in Smash are Super Castlevania 4, Metal Gear Solid, Minecraft, and Xenoblade 2.
If Melee counts* that game's... kinda in Smash? I'm willing to say yes because Ultimate is its current successor.
Otherwise, the ones that are in Smash... not that many. F-Zero GX and Ring Fit's up there (NPC role for the latter, but still). I also tend to really enjoy lots of jank in games, which is one reason I enjoy Super Mario 64, SotN and OoT the most out of the represented franchises.
Most of my personal top games aren't in, but that's okay. I mean, a lot of my personal top games have not touched Nintendo consoles as of yet (Dota 2 is a primary example, even if the genre it helped create just recently arrived on the Switch).
Still, I'm good with the game we got, and other favorite games getting in would just be cherry on top.
*(I'd rank it above Ultimate, although if only due to nostalgia, gameplay preferences trending towards fast paced interactive extensions, and the fact that that game still lives on and is still being explored warms my heart.)
New Metroid Dread trailer
Thumbnail looks so ****ing sick. And the video has some revealing cutscenes for anyone who wants to go blind when it comes to the story.
The mobility here looks crazy, and the variety of environments and enemies is definitely notable, at least compared to Samus Returns.
The Chozo General seems to be competent and
threatens to blast Samus to kingdom come without hesitating?
I like the guy, sign me up for his support thread.
