Both September 2019 and September 2020 revealed new characters (:ultisabelle: and:ult_terry:). :ultsteve: also was revealed around that time frame, missing September 2021 by only one day. So lots of people have gotten used to new characters being revealed around that time of year.

wanna say for this is this is legit info then I see it being a W for anyone not on the list. The character could well be from on the list but I’d feel the names on the list would imply maybe they’re being used as bait to avoid last character being leaked.

not to mention the last character might not even be on her list anyways if this is legit. Tekken proved alone that Nintendo has everything under wraps.

im expecting her list of characters to be bait from Nintendo so common dub for AT’s and anyone not on the list

I saw the Doomguy thing, do you have a link to the Shovel Knight thing

In any case, it doesn't really narrow things down to be honest, since I assume Nintendo always using a list of character names to throw people off the trail. I think as time gets closer maybe it might be easier to spot out and such

The list could be for Miis, or even future Spirit Events

I think we could at least see unique Spirit Events for maybe up to 7 months after the last character drops

Here you go. I feel the list will be bait though so I’m not gonna worry or think to much into. Kazuya alone proves Nintendo have everything under control.

We usually get a Direct, or a Smash reveal, every three months. (I think the only exception was when we got an ARMS guessing game rather than a character reveal, though even then, there were about three months between Byleth and the ARMS guessing game, and roughly three months between the guessing game and Min Min)

So I read the post, The interesting thing I have to wonder about is that she said something about some Documentation

I always wonder how exactly rumors or leaks even get out. I Imagine it wouldn't be anyone exactly on the Dev Team (at least directly) since for one, It's a Japanese Dev Team, meaning language barrier, plus especially with the Smaller DLC Dev Team, it's gonna be kind of easy to scout out who was spreading info

I Imagine if any Leaks or Rumors get out, it's either from the following

-Localization Staff (Like Translators and such)
-Staff that works with Law, like Negotiators and such like that
-Marketing Team

All 3 would deal with some sort of Documentation, especially the Marketing and Localization as since they are the bridge between the Smash Dev Team and the Consumers (Not Including Sakurai presents and such), they need to know what info to present in advance in order for things to be in Place. They aren't as directly involved with the Actual Development of the game like with anyone working on Modeling or such like that, so it might be harder to pin down

With people working with Negotiations, If the Law staff is consistent, they would know what companies would be involved. I Imagine the real discussions are only between Sakurai, a Few close allies of his, and the very important people of a particular company, so I'm sure people that dealing with the papers might be more treated as middle man or something, and might not know the exact Contents of what's being presented on Paper. Perhaps there's specfic terms to hide what the true contents are. I don't know, I don't work with Law

Smash or not I'm 99% sure we are getting a September direct. Since the Switch's release, they basically made the September direct an important one (except 2020 due to the coronavirus). Personally I believe we will also see the character there, but even without that, a Direct is more than likely.

Especially when after doing a quick search on Google, apparently their only credit is leaking some Monster Hunter information which was already out, and also did get things wrong such as Splatoon 3 at E3 or some other Nintendo announcements.
I'm not even going to say they are a fraud. I'll go with the theory that they are absolutely legitimate... What is the point to tell us they have a list if they simply don't share the names, and anyway it can be nothing, a mii costume, a spirit or some food? :210:
I could do the same thing and pretend that I do know the final character but I can't say for sure to protect my sources. In a sense you'll never know for sure I'm telling the truth or not, but why waste your time if I won't reveal the information?

Yeah the list of names Samus Hunter has heard are probably names that Nintendo have used as bait to make sure the last character doesn’t get leaked.

there’s no way on earth someone gets a leaked document of characters mixed in with spirits and mii costumes to do with the last spot.

vergeben didn’t even get byleth’s information or the list leak he did until very very late on till the Reveal if I remember rightly. There’s just no way someone has a legit list right now. It’s most likely a bait list

the fact that kazuya didn’t leak or sephiroth shows Nintendo have things under wraps.

I’m expecting the character not to be on their list. If it was a character that is on their list then Nintendo by the end of the week would have her info shut down just for mentioning shovel knight and doomguy.

This and, well basically as long as you don't reveal who is on that list you can always say that the character was on the list after the reveal.
The 4chan leak which has a list with 40 or 50 names on it, I'm on the side it's fake, but at least the guy didn't take three different turns. He went all in and threw in the names and miraculously survived the whole first pass. Granted, it didn't have Min Min on it, nor Kazuya or Pyra, but it still at least had the merit of being straight forward. In a sense, Vergeben also was straight with the Square Enix names he heard at the time.
At this point if you don't reveal most of the names on your list, you should simply not mention it at all.

because we’re bored without smash news and since she’s an “apparent leaker” and is saying all this smash stuff and what she’s heard we might as well just humour it or talk about it till we get legit info from somewhere lol

The more attention you give fake insiders the more less informed people will get the false impression that they're reliable. Even if you're bored, it's counterproductive to entertain them. It's just going to spread misinformation.

Which begs the question why do some gaming news outlets treat her to their audience? And if they do should their publications be ignored or maybe the specific authors etc... 🧐
