So, what will the AOC Impa called as a spirit cause we already have OoT Impa as Impa, maybe it will be called Young Impa or something

Snake Man's stage from Metal Blade Solid
I honestly think part of the issue is that characters like Mario and Luigi - who most competitively inclined people would classify as at least leaning towards a grappling playstyle due to the potential reward from grabs - would leave most other people wondering "Why would they be considered grapplers?!" Part of it is the disconnect between the competitive and casual playerbases, part of it might be that Nintendo really doesn't communicate often about what kind of niche a character fits into. It's often once - perhaps in a trophy text, Sakurai Presents for the DLC characters or whatever - and never really again.
The thing is though, grapplers are a more specialized playstyle that has trouble getting in, but blows you up when they do. A lot of Super Smash Bros.'s grapplers have this playstyle without actually relying on grabs, and some characters (like Mario) have really good grabs without actually being grapplers.

EDIT: Mario in particular can just do a little of everything.
EDIT EDIT: Dunno about Luigi though. Hardly touch him.

So, what will the AOC Impa called as a spirit cause we already have OoT Impa as Impa, maybe it will be called Young Impa or something
And then they'll add her other common appearance and we'll have Young Impa, Middle Aged Impa, and Old Impa! :4pacman:

Probably Impa (Age of Calamity).
Yeah that makes sense.

I never expected you to become one of those people who'd go "don't you ****ing dare want an at character to be playable before you're 35".
I always expected you to become one of those people that projected strawmen opinions onto others because I've seen you do it constantly already to both me and other users.

Is Chun-Li's caliber big enough to garner as good or better interest in a Fighter Pack as say, a character from the Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, or Devil May Cry series?
Chun-Li is literally the most iconic female fighting game character in gaming. Them adding her would be like them adding Tails or Eggman. She's that iconic. Chun-Li could bring quite a lot with her as her stage could be Shopping District, Taiping Road from Street Fighter 2 and she could bring a ton of iconic Street Fighter music from all the different games. Plus, she would bring more Street Fighter Mii costumes with her.

And a new Zelda rep is out. I don't really think that we're gonna get another Nintendo rep now.

Hey guys I just came up with the dumbest Tales theory on a whim. For maximum dumb, read the attack names in the voice of their user.

DEMON FANG Theory
DEMON FANG Theory runs off the idea that the arte DEMON FANG is emblematic of the Tales series, and a Tales rep needs to have it to properly represent the series. DEMON FANG is a simple technique that sends a wave of energy across the ground. It is usually the first arte your main character learns or starts with, and is generally their main ranged technique. It's pretty similar to Terry's PAWAH WAVE, actually. DEMON FANG is such a staple of the series, it's actually the logo of it
View attachment 298446
Due to the move being so integral to the series, I have come to believe that a hypothetical Tales rep absolutely needs to come with DEMON FANG. As such, I have compiled a list of Tales protagonists who can use DEMON FANG and those who can't. Note that I am only counting the "Mothership" (Mainline) titles.

Can use DEMON FANG (Viable)
  • Cress Albane (Tales of Phantasia)
  • Stahn Aileron (Tales of Destiny)
  • Reid Hershel (Tales of Eternia)
  • Lloyd Irving (Tales of Symphonia)
  • Veigue Lungberg (Tales of Rebirth)
  • Caius Qualls (Tales of the Tempest)
  • Ruca Milda (Tales of Innocence)
  • Emil Castagnier (Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World)
  • Kor Meteor (Tales of Hearts R)
  • Asbel Lhant (Tales of Graces)
  • Ludger Will Kresnik (Tales of Xillia 2)
Cannot use DEMON FANG (Not viable)
  • Kyle Dunamis (Tales of Destiny 2)
  • Senel Coolidge (Tales of Legendia)
  • Yuri Lowell (Tales of Vesperia)
  • Jude Mathis (Tales of Xillia)
  • Velvet Crowe (Tales of Berseria)
And there you go. DEMON FANG Theory

My favorite types of characters to play in Smash are the slow powerhouse characters. Ganondorf has been my main since Melee and it would be cool to get some other heavy characters. I know Ganondorf is considered bad but I'm a purely casual player and I enjoy using him.
Now that I think about it, if Kratos got in his playstyle could be like a mix between Ganondorf and Simon's playstyles. Kratos would have that powerful pressure that Ganondorf delivers while he would also have the zoning advantage that Simon would have. Kratos could potentially be a very OP character if they put him in and do him right. I think I would totally be more up for Kratos after thinking about his potential playstyle in this respect.

Is this the spirit event that was shuffled out of order around when Sephiroth dropped, that for some reason people thought would be for SMRPG, or has that happened already?

Zelda was already out because of the Ancient Armor Mii costume. That would’ve been saved for an Impa pack instead of being bundled with FP2 if we were getting her.
Hmmmm

I was wondering tho

the Rex costume for pass 1 ruled out a Xenoblade rep for THAT pass

what if we get a Xenoblade rep this pass...? 🤞

Dam R.I.P Impa. Do you guys think that this also deconfirms a BOTW 2 character? I do believe so because while these are Age of Calamity characters, they are still Zelda characters. If a BOTW 2 rep was in this pass, they would have certainly saved these for that character.

I'm excited to finally get another spirit event with some new spirits. I guess Age of Calamity / BotW2 is off the table now too, rip.

I hope the little Guardian's spirit battle has a Yoshi that likes to use side-B, or something funny like that. To me the mini Guardian will always be Egg
