Jmex: Good DK matches. Some problems I saw though:

Too much Dair onstage. Esp. vs. Cap, you were using Dair way too much. At low %, even if you hit with it, you can still be punished. It's much better to drop a Nair into them, or just airdodge. Over the edge where it won't lag, go nuts.

Bair spacing. You kept going forward and into the opponent with Bair. This way, you were ending up right next to the opponent, and if they block Bair that close they can shield and punish with jabs and grabs. One of the best things about Bair is the range, so try and utilize it by hitting with the tip or the foot, so even if they block it you have time to shield or avoid an attack.

Punch. It seems as if you were throwing out punch at random or to feel out a situation. That's what Fsmash is for. Fsmash you can throw out all day, but a full charge punch is a little harder to come by and more valuable. Throw out Fsmash to feel out a situation or go for a random hit, then you can always use Punch for the SA after if they try to attack in your lag. Save punch for times you know it will hit, or so use it to SA through attacks.

Thanks, and i totally agree. I'm still working on the back air spacing, i also have to incorporate more tilts into my game. The forward smash tactic that your talking about also sounds a lot better than wasting a punch, since as you said is more rare to come by.

Here are a few more matches BTW:

I have more videos, but some of them are so old and bad I didn't link them here. If people want to check them out they can be found here, http://www.allisbrawl.com/video/album.aspx?id=1494 , but if you thought these were bad then you'll be severely disappointed in the rest.

I finally have a match of me playing Donkey Kong, (well, he's my main) though it's bad quality, and there's no sound (except for some weird Japanese song my brother put up). Now, I didn't really think this was a good match for me, considering it was the first time I had to fight a good Sonic, but this is the only one I have up so far, so just rate this one and enjoy!

EDIT: Wow...I can't believe I forgot the link...

you need less up tilts(I honestly don't even use them). whenever fox is in the air it is obvious what he is going to do(dair). use uair when he is in the air, they will most likely trade hits and if that doesn't work just when he is about to use a dair, run and jump and use a retreating bair. this is a must if you are going to beat him. if you don't under stand I'll upload a video of me vs. a fox doing it.

also I don't know if anybody else does this but I charge the B-punch at the beginning of the match even if they spam. on FD fox's lasers will only do about 22% by the time your punch is charged, while the punch does 26-30% depending if you used it in the air or ground. I think it is worth taking the beginning damage

Any video helps, so if you have the time to post it, I'd like to see your strategy in action

Or better yet, just do a full jump + double jump and charge it on the way down and take ever less damage.

Were any of those hall of fame videos really worthy? I came here looking for some good matches to study, but...meh.

This thread is pretty dated.
