hard for me to imagine anyone disliking season 1 of Breaking Bad (those cancer scenes early on are so sad) but eh. BB gets better and better as it goes on, and also more gangstery as Walt gets better at crime, so if you liked that stuff you'll def like later seasons as **** gets more real.
Casino is another Scorcese gangster movie
Watch The Departed before Internal Affairs, liberal inspiration or not I've heard from people whose movie opinions I respect that IA doesn't hold a candle to Departed. Haven't seen it for myself though.
I dunno what other genres do you like Acro? Gangster stuff is kind of a blindspot for me.
End of Watch is a really good cop movie. Like The Wire it's very refreshing in that it shows the goofier, rule-bending side of the cop lifestyle but also cops that do their damn jobs, which has apparently fallen out of favor in the last 10 years where every cop movie is about dirty cops
Training Day, on a related note, might be worth a watch. I was also fond of Narc (2003), though I haven't seen it in a very long time.
You might like Luther. It's about a guy in London that deals with particularly heinous crimes, but he's kind of unique because despite his intelligence he's not all coldly detached from ****, he gets emotionally invested in it. Also he deals with his kinda *****y estranged wife. It's not all gritty and realistic like The Wire, though, but it works well in making such grisly subject matter more palatable.
sall I got for now
