hard for me to imagine anyone disliking season 1 of Breaking Bad (those cancer scenes early on are so sad) but eh. BB gets better and better as it goes on, and also more gangstery as Walt gets better at crime, so if you liked that stuff you'll def like later seasons as **** gets more real.

Casino is another Scorcese gangster movie

Watch The Departed before Internal Affairs, liberal inspiration or not I've heard from people whose movie opinions I respect that IA doesn't hold a candle to Departed. Haven't seen it for myself though.

I dunno what other genres do you like Acro? Gangster stuff is kind of a blindspot for me.

End of Watch is a really good cop movie. Like The Wire it's very refreshing in that it shows the goofier, rule-bending side of the cop lifestyle but also cops that do their damn jobs, which has apparently fallen out of favor in the last 10 years where every cop movie is about dirty cops

Training Day, on a related note, might be worth a watch. I was also fond of Narc (2003), though I haven't seen it in a very long time.

You might like Luther. It's about a guy in London that deals with particularly heinous crimes, but he's kind of unique because despite his intelligence he's not all coldly detached from ****, he gets emotionally invested in it. Also he deals with his kinda *****y estranged wife. It's not all gritty and realistic like The Wire, though, but it works well in making such grisly subject matter more palatable.

sall I got for now

I enjoyed Season 1 of Breaking Bad, but I mostly enjoyed the series because of the hook which was Walter White using his science know-how to manufacture and become a major drug dealer. I know that the series has promise, but I'm not really interested in the crime feud or Walter juggling his dual life style as much as I was interested in him developing a successful operation from having supposedly nothing.

As for what I like, I'm really not into crime-genres in particular. It's just that the crime shows/movies I mentioned are phenomenal for presentation. The Godfather gave a great sense of setting as that was central to progressing the plot. Goodfellas was just an awesome execution of narrative flashback. The Wire just had great characters and the execution of the acting in and of itself made the series enjoyable. The blatant appeal though is the great use of presenting a drama on multiple-fronts which is why I always enjoyed seeing the new faces that would pop in.

I will definitely look into the stuff both you and marshmellow mentioned.

My school is doing a play adaptation of George Orwell's 1984. Considering auditioning for the lead....
Go for it man. Theater is ridiculously fun, although my school only ever did musicals. That was fine by me though, because I was in choir all 4 years of high school, and even the 4 years prior. You won't be dealing with music, but I'm sure it'll be a blast!

Acro, have you seen Ghost and the Darkness? It's a really cool movie about lions.
Also Gladiator is cool.

Hey DGames I made a thing

Its an extension for Chrome that stops Youtube recommending videos at your homepage, and only shows the uploads of your subscribers

Tell all your friends!

Yes and Yes, I made it for myself but published it to add to my résumé/CV, then a bunch of people started using so I figured its probably actually useful to other people too

I'd put something a little more... impressive in my CV. But that's just me. Guess it appeals to the internet-newbies.

God. Nanako.

Oh man, this would be perfect for me
but I use Firefox :/!
Same. Only because I'm very accustomed to using noscript + adblock on firefox. Even so...

this is very neat and I hope it helps you get in somewhere related to designing programs, if that is what you are aiming for.

Since I've became such an AT freak, I decided to just show off these two shirts I bought, plus a wallpaper with a few edit.

I just have URL Fixer (Firefox) replace "YouTube.com" with "YouTube.com/feed/subscriptions/u" or whatever the link is.

I feel like I'm the only one who had a less than cringeworthy time with Sonic 06. I rented it once and it didn't seem too bad, certainly wasn't good.

I never finished Sonic's story and I stopped at crisis city.

I rented it. Literally could not finish it, it's that bad.

Unlike the grumps, I wasn't willing to put myself through that.

I reached the CNS chapter in this pharmacology book with ADHD medications and I'm curious if Straterra/atomoxetine was the initial prescription for you guys @ raz/soup. I'm also curious if you've had to take incrementally increasing dosages from your initial script or have switched around to other stimulants like amphetamines or methylphenidates and if that had any noticeable improvement.
