There are currently no plans for the collector's edition to come to Aus (or Europe where I've imported from before) which makes me very sad . Heck I'm not sure if the actual game is coming to Aus.

I mean, there are ways around this, but I REALLY want that collector's edition .

So, I was generally confused. That's something you should keep in mind when you look for my posts.

After playing, I was very interested in Mafia. I started getting into Aim Mafia, and joined more games, like Soul Calibur... Where I met BSL.

And that was the start of it all.

Game was introduced to AiB and no one knew how to play the game. No one.

Meta game develops there from the ground up.

AiB mafia just about dies.

Someone from AiB convinces me to join a game here with him.

We play Boondock Saints mafia. I get lynched Day 1 for calling out stupid lynch on my friend for posting a reads list.

He gets pissed because KevinM and Ronike refuse to be held accountable to anything and quits.

I hang around and win a retroactive MvP for walking all over my next game.

First mafia game was actually on the South boards. Someone (I can't remember who) was hosting a mafia game specifically for that board. I thought it looked fun so I joined, but it was not to be because another player quickly broke one of the rules, forcing the game to be called off, and it never rebounded from that.

Later I was lurking Dgames and I just so happened to see that Xiivi was doing sign ups for newbie 5. I joined, got werewolfs with a scum partner of KevinM, and almost won (was NK by mafia clownbot Night 4 I think). Had fun, Xiivi PM'd me that he secretly wanted me to win, and boom.

How did you guys arrive on the DGames scene?

- In the BBR Overswarm started a thread called "Final Fantasy VI Mafia". I was too lazy to read what was that game about, thought it was some sort of Facebook game and wasn't interested.
- Then, OS created "Chrono Trigger Mafia"... I had to know what was this Mafia thing, so I read the rules this time
- Realized I was actually familiar with the game because I played it irl some years ago, just with another name. My interest in online Mafia grew immensely while playing Chrono Trigger Mafia, started to check sites like Mafiascum to find out more things, etc. Eventually OS and adumbrodeus later recommended to play in DGames so I gave it a try with Tales of Symphonia which was my first game here
- I still regret not joining FFVI

Near played with his dice quietly in the back seat of his limo, pondering. Why hadn't they caught Kira yet?

His thoughts were interrupted by the squeal of brakes. A semi bore down on their limo, and in what seemed like his last moments, Near realized Kira had beaten him.

But salvation! The limo swerved, missing the semi narrowly, but rolling. As the limo rolled violently, Near was ejected from the limo, as he had neglected to wear a seatbelt so as to be able to play with his hair and dice more effectively.

His small body bounced across the ground, repeatedly smacking his head into various rocks. He finally ended his tumble on a set of railroad tracks.

Bloody and battered, Near struggled to look up. At least my gigantic brain shielded me from the impact, he thought. Since I live, this must not be the work of Kira after all.


That thought was cut off by the sound of the train. Near ducked at the last minute; but alas, he wasn't small enough, and the train dragged him, repeatedly slamming him against the tracks at high speeds.

Half an hour later, a cleaning crew was working on cleaning the now-red-smeared train.

Choice, Near, Town THING, has been gruesomely killed by a train!

"Eliminate! Eliminate! Eliminate!" the remaining investigators heard, and turned to face the sound, to see one of their civilian contacts standing, holding a notebook. The scum had revealed themselves! But it was too late.

Ruy's large is filled now, so I can do the necessary campaigning to get a game with a name like mine off the ground. I wanted to let Ruy's game fill first because he was here first and I didn't want to steal his thunder with the same flavor although I will do my best to make my game more enjoyable.

I won't be accepting any sign-ups if they come with a /out from Ruy's game. That said, let's get to my pitch.






First, I will tell you that Gova promised to co-mod for me, so you have someone to mitigate the fact that I am TERRIBLE at the act of hosting a game and that Laundry is prone to inactivity due to school lately.

My game is something on the grey area of bastard modded. I will confirm that there will be some zany roles and interactions and that the game is probably pretty swingy even with the numbers I run to ensure certain safeties. You will likely be mad at this game at some point during it, but that's part of the draw. My goal is to get you fuming at least once and laugh at least three times if you make it to Day 3. I only put a time limiter on it because of the people who won't have time to get exposed to the game further and will stop reading it. Reading it from the grave will have a similar effect.

The game is designed to be fun. HOWEVER, I will CONFIRM that it is playable. I didn't just overload one team or throw in so much misdirection that nothing at all is sacred. Such a game would leave me feeling angry instead of that kind of happy you get when you just finished eating a really good meal (I reference Lost Mafia here as an example of what it is not, although I bear no ill will toward Tandora for it because she did learn, because the mafia faction was boned because the set-up was made with the intention of being fun by matching the interesting flavor for fans of the show without taking into account the unique mafia mechanic). If you take it super, hardcore, serious mode #downndirty #serioussteve #swissai then you will probably be frustrated because it is borderline bastard modded. If you go in expecting it and can take a punch at some point and still be grinning, then you'll have a memorable time.

I am generally a super-serious kinda guy when I sign up, so I feel the warning needs to be placed. However, I am hosting this game to open the doors for others of its kind because they can be a lot of fun when players know what they're getting into and when they are hosted with enough time between each other so that this sort of gameplay stays fresh (I don't think it has the staying power of a traditional mafia game).

Any questions, you can ask. I won't reveal any information about the set-up, but I will tell you if it's something I can. If you are unsure whether you think you would enjoy it, ask me here or PM me. I feel I would be a pretty good judge of what most people would make of this game and I won't steer you wrong (or at all if I think I don't have a good handle on you).
