Kamina's death is still quite possibly one of the most bittersweet things I've ever experienced. I blame Gainax.

What Raz said. I read the comic first, loved it, and then went on to watch the show, loved it. (Both different yet awesome)

I don't have the DVD's, but I'll actually get them since it was THAT ****ING awesome.

[COLLAPSE="SPOILER SPOILER"]It was very sad to see Kamina go, Kittan and the others as well. Yet, what I really wanted to see, was Simon and Nia to kiss, or to at least show some sign of affection/romance... And then, near the end I got that, but then she disappeared. Kittan getting that Giga Drill was ****ing awesome. It was damn cool to see Boota evolve in that alternate dimension state thing. I really liked seeing Simon say "Let's go, this is the final battle!" because I think he reminded me of Kamina. Or maybe he just reminded me of the prologue.

Felt it was pretty cool to see Simon as a wonderer at the end, and I could understand why he said "Who the hell do you-- *interuption* Heh, I guess I'm a nobody now", because he knew he didn't have to bring attention to himself. (Basically, it's cool when a guy doesn't have the need to brag about themselves all the time haha)

Sad to see Yoko's two love interests die. ;-;

And other stuff I can't remember. Lol at Leeron not aging xD

Yeah he was a di.ck bag at that point. His way of managing the government was annoying, but I forgave him because he acknowledged that (and almost killed himself), but learned to fix what he was doing wrong. Maybe. Seemed fine afterwords. Although, it was also sort of sad because people distanced themselves from him. I felt bad for him in that angle. Like, when he was younger, he wasn't being responsible of anything that serious, so he was fun to chill with. Not anymore.

I understand trying to keep order, but he blatantly ignored the fact that NOT A SINGLE TIME EVER did a census occur for the people underground. Lordgenome's reason for forcing everyone to live underground was to keep the moon from falling. Obviously if you had to count those who weren't on the surface, Rossiu would've heard of lordgenome, the gunmen, etc.

Rossiu is stupid and everything is his fault, then he had the audacity to pin it on Simon. I was actually upset when he didn't kill himself.

He would FORCE them up and make them stay on the surface to keep a consensus. Since LG disregarded all humans as long as they stayed underground, it makes sense that underground doesn't matter.

the limit was because of village upkeep. The village itself couldn't support more than 50(?) people. It wasn't related to the global limit.
