@Ronike: Even thought I'm only in two games in here right now, I'm already in four in Mafiascum, one of which I'm inactive in. I promised to cut down the amount of games I played to four at max and I need to keep that promise.

So I agree, overloading youself with games is a problem.

You're on mafiascum?

You wouldn't happen to be DTMaster would you?
Yes, I am on Mafiascum. I've noticed you on Mafiascum as well. And no, I am not DTMaster. I am under the same username.

Why did you assume I was DTMaster on Mafiascum? Is it because my gameplay here matches up with his gameplay?

I think it has more to do with recent events. People just came to the conclusion that it's better to be too careful than not careful enough.

Question: When an independent dies in a Mafia game, do we search for connections in people with the dead independent person?

Most independents are by themselves and cannot have true connections. Occasionally there are independent masons, but these often are signified as such upon their death.

What you can do is determine whether the indie's actions were pro-town or pro-mafia, or if they were simply going after easy targets. Once you determine the indie's strategy, you can look at who disagreed and who supported him. Keep in mind mafia rarely, if ever, has 100% agreement with any one person on a deliberate course of action. As such, you can say "if 3/10 disagreed and 4/10 agreed and 3 were non-commenting and this action was heavily pro-town in catching mafia, it is likely there is at least one mafiat in the 3 non-commentating players as that is the most "safe" zone for mafia". Then you can observe the three that didn't comment on the actions and review their past actions to determine if they fit the mold of mafia or town, and push with a case.

So basically, you're saying this:

Look if the actions of the independent were pro-town or pro-mafia of if they were going after easy targets, determind the indy's strategy, look at people who supported or disagreed with him, look at the people who didn't comment on the action, observe the people who didn't comment on the actions the indy made, and if possible, push with a case?

I'll simplify it for you:

Independents have different win conditions. Sometimes they win by surviving until mafia/town wins, sometimes they have to be the last one standing.

Your actions are supposed to help you win (if you're good).

When someone flips independent, you can look at their actions and determine what the purpose of those actions are.

If those actions were to help town kill mafia, then anyone strongly supporting the independent's ideas are also trying to appear to be town-supporting.

By cross referencing independent's actions with other players, you can determine if someone else's actions are more helpful to town or mafia. Keep in mind that mafia knows who mafia is and you can observe patterns.

SSBF, what times are you usually on AIM? What Timezone are you?

:059:
My AIM is on a lot under ssbfan1999. If you want to hit me up on AIM when I'm on, do so.

My Timezone is the Central Times Zone.

Oh really?

Why did Handorin refer to posting in german then?

*confusicated*

Oh well, it would be EVEN MORE PERFECT then, mwahahaha. Giving the role to a german speaker spoils half the fun.

Infiltrated Mafia: Four players told they are mafia, but also told one of them is an independantly winning SK (not told who). The SK cannot NK any of the mafia.
I love how that was listed in that worst roles thread.

It's like a less powerful Rogue, which makes the Rogue even worse. lmao
