I was partying at a barbecue out by 7 mile. Some of them were gunshots, I know this for a fact.

most of the other things are pretty understandable, because they legitimately look like both things. Sprite art doesn't have enough detail for you to reliably distinguish between hair and a hat, or eyes and a mustache. However, in order for ho-oh to have 2 beaks, you have to erase his head, and draw in an eye in a different spot. That's not "seeing something, and thinking it's something else", it's "seeing things that aren't there, and not seeing things that are". I mean, I guess I can buy thinking that white spot is an eye, even though it doesn't look like one to me, but I'll never be able to buy the weird thing with the beak, because you literally have to ignore the existence of his head. I mean, does his head look like something else that you thought was somehow part of a beak? I can't see that at all, wtf do you think beaks look like?

Both. It's all a matter of perspective, and depending on how your brain works, you will likely just see it one way or the other. Personally, I see her spinning clockwise, but if I stare at it long enough, and really try to see it, I can make her go counterclockwise too.

Private, I'll try to keep this brief.

It is insane that you're fighting me on this. I was not saying there's a secret second head on Ho-oh. This is not a "do you see the rabbit or the old woman?" kind of situation. I understand that the thing I'm describing literally requires almost an entire other head to be coming out of Ho-oh's beak to make sense (that's what made it freaky!) I am well aware that there is one, deliberately created picture here and the thing I'm seeing in it is not equally correct. I'm simply saying that little, 10-year-old Circus saw a bunch of colored shapes and lines in a different order of focus than they were intended on the Pokemon Gold boxart, and it looked really strange, and it took time for his eyes to adjust to the real image. And apparently he wasn't the only one if there were threads on the internet about it when it came out.

If you don't see what I'm talking about, that's fine. If you do see what I'm talking about but think it's silly, then that's also fine and, what's more, I agree with you. But if you think it's just wrong that I see it, then you're being a jackass.

I find that hilarious because I have the same problem and have also seen it before, but I can't see counterclockwise.

It works because the fact that the entire frame of her body is blackened makes it impossible to tell whether her right arm and leg or her butt and her breasts are spinning behind her body first and then in front of her or vice versa. It could go either way. You can even see it as if she weren't making a complete 360° spin at all but just a 180° with her back or front towards you.

If you want to make her spin into the other direction, you have to completely focus on her left foot for a while [the one she is standing on]. The arms will distract you and make it extremely hard to see it in any way other than the 'deault' one in your mind. Mine is clockwise too but I can make her spin counterlockwise sometimes. It just takes a lot of focus.
