I feel kinda guilty about it though since these are guys from NY and its just like this week that a few of us just aren't able to make it because we need to take care of stuff before going out to play.

That's just how life is Epic. Work comes before games. Also, keep using Ganon because you're awesome with him. Anyway, Ultima just told me that Fluer might be coming if he's not busy. Tru=, if he comes then this is your perfect oppurtunity to show him what you're made of. I know how badly you want to play him and if anyone needs to go to this fest, it's you. We all know that you have what it takes to show everyone that DE can compete. If you need me to help you with anything just let me know.

Yeah I know what you mean Nick Nasty, if it was either next week or the week after it there probably wouldn't be any problems but its just at this moment at least those of us that go to Deltech we have finals that we need to prepare for. However...if Tru= does go and plays against Fleur please, PLEAAASE record those matches whether its melee or brawl I would love to see those fights.

Oh and if anybody needs to contact me for whatever reason, please just call my cell insteading of sending a text message (those things get real expensive very fast)

So, an update on my situation. Good news and bad news.

Bad news - My "awards banquet" is from 6:30 to 9:30, right in the middle of Nova's event.
Good news - My banquet is literally like two blocks down from Nova's event.

So, if Nova's fest/tournament begins at 5, which I think I remember reading it does, I might be able to make it for like the first hour and ten minutes, and possibly the last half hour. If I do make it, you'll recognize me easily--I'll be the only one wearing a military JROTC uniform.

All that's left is to convince my parents, which could be kind of difficult. I'll see what I can do, though.

It looks like I'm going to Ultima's fest after all. Ultima just told me that El Komostruo is coming as well. I'll finally get to play him again (as well as Fleurs for the first time). This is definitely going to be a great experience. I'm going to get some good training.

Man...this is a pain, I found that besides one class I practically don't have any hard-core studying required for finals but I really have no clue where Ultima's thing will be this saturday at all. What makes it worse is that with these gas prices I can't really afford to roam around looking for the house for a long time.

um...NoVa any chance you could maybe help me out? yknow...as much as I love how you make my fails hilarious sigs I will need a ride to make it to this one. I'll play you in melee or brawl til our eyes bleed out if you'll pick me up

I think I fixed your post Nova. I'm sure you remember reminding me about doks, took me to Doks so we could dicuss business with the manager, came up with the name, drew the banner, etc... I thought we were partners since it was your idea too. Or at least I thought that you saw it that way, but if you're weren't planning on co-hosting, it's good to know that you will always help. But I expect the call from John this week, since he say I could do tournaments starting in May

I'm praying I can make it to Ultima's fest. I doubt it cuz I'm a little on punishment. But I might be able to convince them to let me go, but I'm pretty sure I can make to the one on May 2nd. And my friends b-day is tommorow. Plus Nova, I think you should make a thread about that, I'm betting people out of state will come

The Tru vs Fluers match sounds interesting. For Brawl, if I can't make it to the fest tommorow, sadly my vote will go to Fluers. I still have a money match to finish with him. And that I better access to Fluers. Now that I have nearly finished playing Brawl more casually than competively, I'm more motivated to become the best there is in Brawl. And eventhough I was playing the game more casually than competively, or casually competive, and still got a decent amount of competive practice online. But besides that, I will hopefully take down fluers, and take his money. Mwaahahahah

As for Melee, I really matter to me who winz, but I guess I can atleast do this

Don't really know if it will help you or not Tru, but I won't be needing it anymore, but back in Melee, it was 70% of my playstyle. And since you don't have main, it might come in handy if you pick Link. So if you challenge Fluers in a Link ditto, since he mained Link at one point, you should win since with the person who wields the power of the SKRAAAAAAH can't lose a Link ditto. I couln't give really give anything else except for "The Triforce of CourG", since I have anything technial to contribute, and I don't play Melee anymore. But after a week, without playing the game, Melee is starting to appeal to me once again a little

@everyone: the only possible way id make it if somehow miraculously my boss was able to find people to work my shift for both saturady AND sunday, since i need sunday to do some work for my portfolio review. Not only that, but i couldn't stay past midnight the very latest, so becareful if you decide to carpool w/ me. Also, i probably wouldn't be notified of any shift-takings until the last minute, and im unsure of when people are meeting up at Darrens, so id need time info.

@ace: it's your tourney. co-hosting = helping you run it dude , im still supporting you. The only thing i won't be able to support is a laptop, but i have the tio tourney organizer program on a flash drive if you found a computer to work with. This smashfest im hosting won't become a bi-weekly until next time. I'm sure if i blurted out from the get-go that i want to host a tourney in the school (im pretty sure he would be skeptical and nervous), so like your advice, im starting small, then working my way up

Man, that Fest on Saturday was awesome. We had crew battles and even a melee tourney. I got to play Ultima and Ekom a lot. The best part was that the crew battles and finals from the tourney were recorded. The only thing that could've made it better was if Fleurs had came, but he's dealing with college so maybe next time. Here's the results:
