Ugh. Senior year ain't treating my internet time well, mates.
Not so much difficult as it is time-consuming. Really time-consuming.
But it's all good. Lots of fun stuff going on aside from the craziness.
Dang, I'm sorry I largely missed that whole mega-Pokemon discussion. Seemed like fun. XD I still love playing. I try to be innovative but effective, rather than copypasting everything from Smogon. Skarmory FTW. I been trying to go offensive wall rather than spiker set. Skarm sucks as a sweeper, but with Swords Dance + Roost + Leftovers and then attacks he makes a pretty good Gliscor-style attacking wall.
Sorry for the tangent.

Aerial Jet Hammer looks like a golf swing.

I spam it when I fight Kirbies simply so that I can scream "FOUR!" when it connects.

I played like **** at the tournament I went to on Halloween.
Didn't make it out of pools, and had to watch people I usually go even with/beat play in bracket.
It really only made me want to play brawl more *read: motivated*.
Ironically I misplaced my brawl disk and now cannot play. The weekend was good, and I enjoyed the social aspect of the tournament, but my performance In singles really beat me down.
Other than playing bad in singles everything else at the tournament was great. I had a good Halloween, and I look forward to hearing about what everyone else did on there weekend.

I love you Xiivi <3
Uhh.....You can't do it with kirby's regular inhale, they release in a weird way, and your up tilt has pretty bad range.
If you manage to get a d3's inhale ability your inhale now releases the same way d3's does, but I still don't think you have any guaranteed follow ups from that.

Okay, so December 20th is when I move back to Maryland. I'm finding someone to have offline friendlies with until Pound 4- who wants to have a great time?

No.

Kirby sucks.

He gets all of his pimp class from DDD.

DDD boards are better than Kirby boards in every way.

Our combos are more badass.

Our Bair is bigger.

Our Hammer is bigger.

Our everything is bigger.

...but what Alby said.

I was playing around with my friends and we ended up dressing up in drag for Halloween. End of story.

my halloween was watchin the parents' dogs. they do some spooky things, like '****ting on the floor' and 'eating the **** on the floor'

The dogs started reenacting Lord of the Flies in the backyard. Not sure who's skull it was. Then they revealed themselves to be witches and took all the brooms. Witch dogs are pretty cool with it. They are like regular dogs but when they run they always leave bobby pins all over the floor

I'd love me a witch dog.

Edit: Yes, agreed that Kirby sucks, until he puts on a mask and cape and fights with a sword that is.

My Halloween was spent at a tourney and 4 hours to and from on a road with a panicking mother.

But otherwise, it was alright :)

Halloween was epic this year. I was Captain Jack Sparrow. I had to stop at my friends boring party for a bit (d00d, ur ghey if u dont come! were gonna do epic stuff!), just to put in an appearance and say hi. Then I headed off to another friends house. Partook in some guilty pleasure trick-or-treating to stock up on free candy for later, with a friend and my girlfriend. XD We finally headed back to my hometown for another party my one of my friends was throwing. Significantly better than the earlier one! Lots of good times.
On Sunday, I had to go to my brother's track meet, but that was made up for by the fact that afterward I got to go over to my girlfriend's and finish up this project we've been working on for a month. Long story short, she needs a parade style Chinese dragon for a school function, so I have been lending my artistic skill. It's been fun, and it looks awesome!
Overall, a very good weekend.

alright let's start a topic. how was everyone's halloween weekend? i was aladdin this year, and it was absolutely awesome.
I rented Uncharted 2 and played it **SPOILERS**
until I got to the part where you have to fight off a swarm of yetis.

Really, Naughty Dog? You really couldn't think of any other enemy type to have in the late game besides mythical ****ing monsters that shouldn't exist in the established realistic world of Nathan Drake? I could understand if the Chintamani Stone they're looking for turns out to turn the main villain into some sort of superboss at the end since the whole series blatantly rips off Indiana Jones, and I could even forgive if it were just 1 yeti. But no, they have ****ing 3 dozen yetis swarming all over the place. I heard this game copied stuff from Gears of War but this is ridiculous.

"Okay," I thought, "There's probably no precedent for this in the series." I have never played Uncharted 1 so I decided to check up on it and make see if this was the only game in the series that took such a turn for the absurd. I mean since the previous game took place in South America and there's not many rumors of supernatural animals there other than abnormally large anacondas, surely it would be more down to earth, right? WRONG. It turns out that late in that game Drake and co come across a bunch of jungle mutants. ****ING JUNGLE MUTANTS. The only game I've played that has ever has jungle mutants in them and made it fit in well is the game adaptation of Wolverine.

This transitions to my next point - setting. I am not against having yetis in a game if it fits in with the setting of the established world. Lots of games I've loved have had yetis in them, notably Umaro from FFVI, who I liked even though everyone else who's played the game doesn't apparently, and Yeto and Yeta from Twilight Princess, who are both pretty awesome even though Yeta is a ****ing cheating ***** at snowboarding. I'm pretty sure there have been yetis in other FF games and Wolverine, which I mentioned before, had wendigo in it, which are sort of like yetis. The thing that made it natural and enjoyable in these games is that it was consistent with the established universes they were in. Zelda and FF are so far away from the real world they can't even see it, so having yetis in them is a natural fit for their fantasy universes. Wolverine is closer to reality but the X-Men universe is still separated far enough from the real world that having a yeti or similar monster appear is not at all a stretch.

Uncharted, however, takes place in the real world, the here and now. Having fictional creatures like yetis in it is such a ridiculous stretch that it's completely implausible and absurd. If they really wanted a new enemy type to confronted us in that icy cave, why not use something from the existing ecosystem of the Tibetan Himalayas? The snow leopard is a good choice since it's a large predatorial animal and could be a very real threat to a human if it felt threatened. Wolves would be another good choice since they show us that there's a wolf pack inside the cave before we even enter it. Both of these options would be plenty believable and consistent with the flavor of the world Uncharted takes place in. But no, they went with the army of Abominable ****ing Snowmen.

Uncharted 2 is not a bad game by any means, in fact it's quite good. But the yetis make it very hard for me to take it seriously.

DDD boards are better than Kirby boards in every way.
If that's true, I'd really hate to see how bad the Kirby boards are.

btw Alby, did you play Zip yet?

I like Umaro. He has monstrous attack ratings and when he has the Rage Ring and Bone Wrist equipped he's pretty awesome. He also has the Snow Muffler (Snow Scarf in the GBA version) which has the highest defensive rating of any equipment in the game and absorbs Ice and nullifies Fire. His uncontrollable nature is definitely a turnoff, but if you're ok with effectively playing with a 3-person party he's fantastic.

And go play Alby.
