Can we get a bit more extensive with our comments here guys? A lot of posts seem to be just "Yeah, sure they could work. Now what about my character". Like, yeah, a Fire Emblem cavalier is obviously going to use swords and lances. The issue with implementing a character like that is the big freaking horse and how it would move around in Smash and mid air jump and ledge grab and stuff. If the criteria boils down to "Physically capable of doing something that can resemble an attack" then literally every character in existence that has a visual design could qualify.

Fireboy & Watergirl as duo fighter

Sure - Weird idea incoming, but what if they were a puzzle-like setup character as well as a duo fighter, using some of the level elements from their series? I don't think we've seen anything like that in any fighting game, and it'd fit their home series quite well. Of course, you'd probably have to be a little more innovative with basic attacks, but that's a teeny tiny issue.

Classic Sonic as a Sonic semi-clone (not echo).

Yes. That's very simple. Classic sonic would have the same hitbox as Sonic, but it's smaller than modern counterpart.
Also he would have different moves than normal Sonic because his moveset would be based on classic Sonic games.

In addition he would be mute to make it more accurate to his origin games (Also when he attacks or moves, the sounds from classic games are playing)


Chain Chomp as fighter.

Yes, absolutely! I've always imagined her as a Pac-Man style fighter - Her bonus items could easily be used like Pac's. Of course, she would also use stuff exclusive to her game, such as her pickaxe and minecart.

I'd say no - first, they are different characters with different abilities. Chibi-Robo can't turn himself into an octopus or Mr. G&W can't use his plug tail becoause he doesn't have one.
Also Chibi-Robo never moved like Mr. Game & Watch.

I'd say no - first, Ender Dragon's body doesn't fit in the costume and second, it it was a mii costume, then it would work only on mii brawler.
Although there is an option where we could make a helmet based on his head.
