There'd be potential, but at the same time, I'm not sure his gameplay lends particularly well to it. Some sort of mechanic akin to Aura wherein Connor passively increases his aggression levels the more he's attacked or deals damage in order to increase his damage output or defence could be interesting, but beyond that, he'd probably mostly rely either on using guns, or perhaps being some kind of summoner using other Deviants to attack on his behalf... which feels kind of out of character. Tl;dr, he could work, but I don't think it'd really feel like him at that point.

I'm going to suggest the titular Firebird of Space Firebird, a pre-Donkey Kong Nintendo arcade title. Interested to see what comes up!
