I had a briliant idea today of how to upload videos onto Youtube. I save replays and save them on SD cards then put on the pC the onto Youtube, but a slight problem has occured. I the format is .bin and I have no idea how to convert that into .wav or something that can go onto Youtube.

So does anyone want to help me (and prbably others) out?

The problem is it's not a video file, but a file that recreates the match. Basically, it holds the player controls in a list and executes the commands in a match. So, you can't really convert it, but can probably share it.

I wonder if someone could make a program that can read the commands and then convert them all into a video... is that possible?

Yea, i had the same problem just right now. I was hoping in making a brawl machinima for my media class. And record all the shots onto the saved section, then transport the files into a SB card, transport the SB card to my mac. except the files then came out to be .bin files. So now i have to record all the shots on brawl, and by using my camera, and a HD tv, in a quite room, film the prerecorded shots. 3 steps too many. great nintendo.

LOL...

Firstly.. .WAV is a format for AUDIO. Not videos.

Second you should search first, cause this has been answered a million times.

Thirdly, Just because something has a certain extension on it, doesn't mean that's what it actually is.

I could take an .AVI video and rename it porno.SEX but that doesn't mean it's now a SEX format lol. It's still an AVI format.

Lastly, Yeah you can't convert the videos. There merely instructions on how to re-create the match. And no you can't make a program for the computer that would be able to use those files. You would literally have to port the game onto the PC to do that. Which almost no one would be willing to even try.

One good thing tho, is you can take snapshot's ingame, upload them to your computer and convert them into real images. Using the snapshot converters at http://ssbb.kakkoister.com

If anything, you could just upload the .bin and have people download them, place them in their SD cards then put it in the Wii. Not as cool as just pressing play on Youtube, but better than nothing. I just wish there was a way to record matches longer than 3:00

Edit: If you have a video capturing device you could replay the match then record it with the capture device (like Gamebridge.) That would work as well (and GameBridge is $20 on ebay, maybe cheaper elsewhere.)

Umm...Yes, but they would have to decode all the commands, then create all their backgrounds, stages, and character images and animations for all attacks. Plus music, sound effects, and maybe even physics. Basically, they may as well re-write the game, if it really is saved commands, not an actual video. It's possible, but unfeasible.

REPLAYS ARE NOT VIDEO FILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

god dammit lol.

All they are is instruction for the game to "RE-CREATE" the match in real time. It is not a video file in any shape or form.

So there is NO WAY TO CONVERT IT.

Actually, it was a smart thing to do. .bin takes up very little space, compared to actual video formats. If you want to record matches, get a capture card or something.
Don't forget compression! It would take ages to compress something that's high-quality on the Wii. @_@

So basically, if you've saved a replay onto an SD card, you can't view it on youtube?

And what is a capture card?

Nintendo should give all users a wii channel of something to share our Brawl videos, I have many replays and I cant share them because I cant find a capture card, I think if you send a suggestion to Nintendo they will do something about this

I hate how it "recreates" the matches. I use PSA and record them, have all the same codes on and PSAs yet the actions get messed up when I watch them, I had a 4 sec 38 MSec Target test with a PSA kirby and now the actions are all messed up, Mistake on Nintendo using .Bin.
