Except talk like a Brit day isn't until tomorrow.

And its just fun. I have a blast working on stuff like that, especially after I get bored of a game.

So how hilarious would it be if Dazwa and I dressed as the Super Mario "Bros" for CTcon

Popped Red/Green polos
Tilted Mario/Luigi hats
Red/Green Nike Dunks
One White glove
etc etc

Ideas welcome

Which one is that?
The one using us as the characters. Everyone in CT/whoever asked to be in it was a part of it and you wrote the first chapter but stopped because you didn't want to offend anyone.

LOL I was jk cause of that disturbing Ronald McFalcon gif <3

So are any of you coming to the College Park tournament on Saturday? Eggm and Teczero are coming last time I checked.

Oh yeah, the superhero story. I still have the notes to that lying around somewhere.

You two are the first people I've heard of going to CTcon. Did you see the news interview last year?

IMO Falcon is actually a pretty good character. He involves so much precision though and really has little to no room for error. His on stage presence and pressure is absolutely fantastic except against the likes of Sheik and Falco. Hes easily better than Peach IMO.

I'd safely say hes 6th best. If you can predict and/or react to what your opponent is going to do as Falcon he can shift the tide of a match incredibly fast. He reacts wonderfully to vertical offensive attempts and because his pivot is better than Fox's (not as good as marth due to his grab range) he can easily retaliate with a grab.

I'm not saying Falcon is anywhere near the best character in the game by any stretch of means but hes definitely incredible on stage if you can predict your opponents techs or if you know how to cover all options like Hax shows.

how about coming up with more concrete things like:

the fact that his nair out ranges most of the cast's aerials.his nair hit box extends upward and gives you a tie(AT THE LEAST) with other aerials of equal or lesser range. If spaced backwards(away from the opponent) he can beat almost every aerial in the game.

the fact that he can land one of the strongest aerials in the game(knee) on the entire cast, regardless of DI(given that the opponent is within a VERY generous percent threshold) from a Down Throw.(and one some char an uthrow as well)

the fact that his (and ganons) stomp hitbox extends in a cone and is SUPER disjoint. *** shiek tilts and fair, look at the hit box on dair. its covers a huge radius relative to his body.

Hmm lets see.......his uair is only beaten in priority by falco dair, link dair and Ylink dair(ties with marth dair and shiek's dair on like the 100millionth frame and probly ties with ganon/falcon stomp after a few frames of start up) from a mostly vertical stand point. Not to mention that his uair hitbox covers over 180 degrees and has GREAT utility.

He is also the hardest character to send upward in the game and out of the people in and above his tier he is the heaviest. Lets throw in the fastest ground speed and arguably the best DD in the game and I think we have a pretty decent char.

pivoting isnt really a stand out quality for CF. Pivoting is so niche right now. also the "goodness" of pivoting shouldn't be measured by the quality of a char's grab. think about it, you can do more out of a pivot than just grab. The only thing that would make the quality/goodness of a characters pivot would be the length of the characters dash dance. the longer the DD the more of a window there is for a pivot and for someone to react. CF, marth, roy have really good pivots by that standard(relative to the rest of the cast). In other words, more of a window gives more opportunity

u mad?

ya, but peach is still better cause she has relevant moves that come out in less than 7 frames.

Falco, Fox, Jiggs, Sheik, Marth, Peach, CF, ICs, Ganon, Doc, Samus ez IMO.
Priority and range? Speed of the attack is not always the most important thing.

I agree on your last five but not on your first five. This you already know though.

I can tell based on your list that you judge a tier list by:

Tournament results
"if played perfectly" (Bowser???)
and speed of attacks and their usefulness.

it's more about how falcon's aerials can get beaten out with relative ease and how his nair is easily cc able.

falcon's a pretty good character.

but the fact that falcon is so reaction heavy, as you stated, is a limiting factor.
peach is a better character because you don't have to worry as much about how your opponent will react in the end.

not saying peach is ez or anything ofc

what mogwai is saying is that peach just has better moves than falcon in regards to priority, speed, and viability.

also what you infer from mogwai's list is ambiguous. i could list any number of things that i drew from mogwai's list and still sound like i have a semblance of understanding mogwai's tier list preferences. not to mention that your inferences can also easily be proven wrong.

i definitely don't agree with falco being the best character in the game, but you knew this already.

In all seriousness, I don't know why fan fiction gets such a bad rap. It's something that people create primarily for themselves, but after you put so much time into something, most people like to share it.
I just find it an incredibly pointless exercise that wastes sometimes-actual talent on fanwankery. But really, whatever, I don't care that much. I've just had a bad experience once where a friendship was broken off because a person was incredibly into writing their DC comics fanfic in which they wrote themselves into the story and it just veered into some weird psychologically dark territory.

but he still pretends like he shaves himself with fake cuts

awww
LOL

What? How about U mad because swift's post actually made sense, as opposed to:
He reacts wonderfully to vertical offensive attempts and because his pivot is better than Fox's (not as good as marth due to his grab range) he can easily retaliate with a grab.

No, you just simply didn't understand what I meant by that.

Take peach, Pikachu, Marth, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Ice Climbers, and Samus for example.

All of these characters are pretty mediocre if not, bad at falling through platforms and performing attacks such as bair, fair, or dair. Where as Fox, Falco, Falcon, Ganon, Sheik all punish pretty nicely and set up for a good follow up. All those characters have nice combo set ups or moves that kill or moves with pretty good knock back to change the tide of a match and shift momentum. ganon-fair, dair, bair, falcon-same, Falco-bair dair, Fox-same, Sheik-fair, bair, uair if lower.

Falcon has a wonderful platform game and can space well due to his speed and avoid falling vertical attack attempts.

Better?

I hope I have pleased Cogsmooch and this now approves his concept of a solid post.

you can't blame someone else for you making a poorly written post.

i think only ice climbers are "mediocre" at falling through platforms to punish. even then it's just because sometimes nana doesn't receive the input and doesn't follow.
they're fine at it otherwise.

swift what's your avatar lol

and I dun think IC should be on the platform enough to even matter. They are the closest to a "strictly ground" character as this game gets. I feel like they should only be on platforms if its 100% or seemingly 100% profitable.

*metal detector beeps, POF gets escorted to a temp holding room and is questioned first by TSA officials, then after 4 hours of waiting, the FBI, POF gets sent to Guantanamo Bay and is waterboarded repeatedly, POF goes on a hunger strike*

the problem is you're bringing up an outstandingly situational thing like falling through platform attacks ("vertical offensive attempts") and combining that with an even more situational thing like punishing it with pivot grabs to prove that falcon is good.
